He did awaken his Force powers from a protective instinct before that, but it was only after Anakin/Vader alleviated the burden of his (perceived) sin from him that he was truly absolved and able to return from the spiritual exile he had imposed on himself by the virtue of his conscience. I think sadly Liam Neeson said that the way Disney handles things isn’t going the way he wants and while he cherishes every opportunity he has to play Qui Gon he may not be doing so any time soon.

@@rman4539 one way to improve on Reevas arc is after Vader destroys the first ship escape he grabs a hold of the second ship escaping and before Vader can destroy the second shp Reeva sneaks up and attacks Vader allow the everyone on the second ship to get away, then Vader leaves Reeva to die Reeva shouldn't of been able to escape from that planet as the only other ship that had a hyper drive was the one Vader destroyed

I still wanted Obi wan to meditate in the ship, before he faces Vader. Where he just sits and dissemble and assembles his lightsaber, where you see the crystal and then finally get in touch with the force again, where he can see Qui gon for first time and then again at the end.
The progression of his strength returning was a story arc unto itself, mentioned by Vader specifically. The crescendo being that Obi gains so much balance that he has one foot in each reality and can see clearly. A trait we all should strive for! Blessings 👐 💚

If the first 5 episodes were andor level writing. And the last episode remained basically the same except either cut or make the reva stuff interesting. It would have been such a banger show dude. It had so much potential RIP. Like why the hell are they trying to build stakes for a character we already know makes it to the next movie. Nobody in their right mind is like “oh shit is Luke gonna die?” Also something about seeing Luke with jedi/sith before a new hope doesn’t sit right with me. U think he would’ve brought this experience up during the OT

Star Wars has always been so good at articulating that and I think it goes without saying on this episode of Obi Wan. The whole duel with Anakin and Obi-Wan, Leia and Obi-Wan saying goodbye, Qui-Gon finally being seen by Obi-Wan... Qui-Gon is my favorite character in Star Wars and I has been since 1999. I couldn't wait to see him again.
What is it with us Star Wars fans, that we break down when we see legit good stuff from the old films in the modern era. When Luke turned up in the Mandalorian and then R2D2, I was a mess.
It didn't really make sense how Obi-Wan just leaves Vader alive again, especially knowing what damage that did the first time around. The writers could've justified it by having the inquisitors pull up just as Kenobi is about to finish him. Obi-Wan would fight off and kill a few, as he's forced to flee while the remaining inquisitors bring Vader back to the ship. Because Obi-Wan had just reached peak connection to the force, it'd have been great to watch him overwhelm the inquisitors during a retreat.
I hope they don’t quit on this show. I’m not sure where they can go from here but I want to see more obi-wan. In a perfect world we’d have another obi-wan season and I know it’s probably not going to happen but a live action Jedi fallen order/ Survivor show would be so cool. I mean you have cal himself and pretty much every other character.

If not for Reva and her story in this show, the story could have been 6/10. Literally made this not about Obi Wan, more about her and Leia. I really wanted a series based on Obi Wan and solely Obi wan, an adventure that would make him encounter Vader and his conlflict. A story just revolving around Obi wans inner struggle with coming to terms of what happened, filled with visions of Anakin. Literally a few episodes of Vaders angle as well. Disney could have done so much, but yet again give to incompetent people who know nothing about Star Wars or the fans.
I mean the show had its issue like most of the shows Disney handles but the Obi-wan/Vadar scenes were great. It told the story of them beautifully. Some pretty emotional scenes.

Disney could have done so much, but yet again give to incompetent people who know nothing about Star Wars or the fans.

I mean the show had its issue like most of the shows Disney handles but the Obi-wan/Vadar scenes were great. It told the story of them beautifully. Some pretty emotional scenes.
