    I build paper scale models but love to watch your videos. Especially that I'm drawing now Phantom paper model. I'm in love with this plane.
    Greetings from Poland.

    Looks great! Sorry to hear about your back, I’ve been dealing with the same problems for 35 years! Happy days and model on! 😎

    Fantastic painting on the F4 Matt...love the way the layering works...tried the same techniques on my Tamiya Spit...and it,s working a treat. Take care with your health sir, you are a tour de force in modelling

    First off, sorry to hear about your herniated discs..hopefully you can resolve that issue without surgery.
    Great job with the paint. Definitely gave me some ideas about translating the layering/sandwich on some up coming figures. Between you and Night Shift, my uniform painting has risen. No more bland OD or gray. Thanks again Matt

    Just don't have surgery. I had one and it turned into 5. Worse now than before any. I'm following along your steps with my F 4 and I'm happy. Thanks.

      Just had an EMG test on my hands/wrists thus week and the results are pretty conclusively carpal tunnel. Not too excited about the prospect of surgery on general, but I figure the further from the spine the better.

    I think it seemed much better before the final coat, caused to vanish all the beautiful textures u got. At least what i see from the screen, maybe real thing with naked eyes is still colorful and popped up with all those shades and tones. Looking forward to see the effects on the radome of ur ref picture, cheers🍻

    Sorry about the herniated disks, I have two myself.
    About the painting: I think the texture was better before the final coat, that is what I would aim for. With high contrast markings the too subtle painting effect will disappear.

      Yeah this camera is better at picking up variations than my old Panasonic was, but it still crushes the grays together.

    Flapperons? Not on a Phantom Matt 🙈.. They're just flaps. F-16, Su-27 etc has flapperons. F-15, F-4 etc has flaps only.. Stunning build by the way

    looking great, love the subtleness you created. btw, what do you use to thin MRP paints?

    • @DoogsModels
      @DoogsModels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MLT if needed. Occasionally MRT but usually only if I'm going reaaaaally thin

      @@DoogsModels that's about how long I've been gone too, remember being on a big beautiful jugs group build thought that might have been you on there too. Sorry to hear about your back issue, been there a few years back , not fun. Cheers Trey

    Great job! Can you advise where you order your MRP paints? I seem to have a difficult time getting someone to ship it to me. I'm in the US (Maryland).

    Hello Doogs, Great work as usual. I have one question. Do MRP lacquer paints have a
    shelf life? Meaning, once a bottle is opened and used, how long does
    this paint stays usable and sprayable. Because once I buy a whole
    bunch, I don't want to use them as 'paper weight' after two or three
    years. Greetings from Belgium.

    • @DoogsModels
      @DoogsModels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been using MRP for a number of years now and have never had a bottle go bad. Never even had one do the Gunze thing where it goes sludgy and needs Mr Replenisher.

    // boggle //FOUR? That you didn’t know you had?!? Iron man! I feel like such a wimp with only one. Take care of yourself, man.
