You did a great justice in this build. I grew up around this airplane, the real one. My Dad was in this squadron, worked on this very aircraft. I have sat in that cockpit. Beautiful build, exquisite detail. I just bought this kit as I'm getting back into modeling. Thank you for this. It brought back some great memories.

There are few aircraft that look as fast and aggressive as the F4 Phantom. One of my favorite aircraft of the post-war period. And by the way: once again a great model conjured up!

Nice build! I especially like your technique you used on those Martin Baker ejection seat handles. I have never liked the kit handles on any models that have the Martin Baker seats as they look thick, unrealistic, and just plain ugly. The technique you used here was really cool and I can’t wait to try it. 👍🙂

Just wacthed another great build, have you ever considered using paint pens with a fine tip to do the fine details in the cockpit and other areas where therenis fine details to pick out. They come in 0.2 mm tip and up, and in many basic colors making it easier to do. You can also get them in blanks to add the colors you wish to use yourself.

Hello Paul, In fact, those caps (not nozzle) act as needle guards and disrupt the flow dynamics. If you want a real experience with better control, you have to take the cover off. However, in this case, the needle is unprotected, if you are not experienced, I would not recommend it.

Still the stencils add more realism I guess. Due to this clip I might be looking at aftermarket decals. Happy to get any suggestions.
If you are not aiming a competition just add the stencils in my opinion. As you said they add more realism. Without them it looks like a die-cast model
I'd like to see the decals for Randy Duke Cunningham 's and W.. Driscoll bird in 1972 . Showtime 100 was the F4J 's name . , Monogram did it in the late 70's and early 80's. So let's see again . 1/32 , 1/48 would be greatly appreciated .Just the markings ( decals) would be awesome. It Would make a great Diorama a launch scene with perfectly painted figures and carrier deck scene with planes and a backdrop .Make the front cover of Fine Scale Modeler . Give it a shot We,d all love to see it Vman . ❤

Do you know if Mr. Mark softer is strong enough to make Tamiya decals conform to the irregularities of the model? Tamiya Mark Fit isn't available in my country.

Last I saw that particular set of decals was created for Monogram's Phantom ll in 1/48 ,and that was late 70's or early 80's .Tamiya, SWS ,Hasegawa Trumpeter or whom ever makes this scale. The building of this bird inspired Me make this suggested request. Vman.

My dad was in a Phantom squadron and knew a back seater that punched out twice when the pilot didn't. They called him Houdini after that.

Both are same for me. But this kit's decals are strongly resisted both. Maybe only my copy is defective
