I think what's very misleading is most of these channels usually compare the cheaper dual motor version of the Cybertruck instead of the tri motor cyberbeast which is the true Cybertruck
Great video. Nice to see these trucks pushed hard. FYI: @16:50 in the video, you mention that the Rivian pushed sideways in the rear, almost like being donkey kicked. I recently drove the R1S and experienced this exact same thing after speeding up to lane change. I asked the rep about this and he said it is an electronic lane correction feature. It can be jarring if you are not expecting it. He went on to say the feature can be disabled in the settings.
I have the dual motor and also a YP, 3LR and S and it is the most fun, the most comfortable and my favorite vehicle ever but a landslide. I do get tired of all the attention though!
In the Rivian I wonder if rally mode would make a difference? Others used snow mode for a different experience too. The modes really do change the performance and feel of the throttle and suspension. I think it would be interesting to run same course in each of the different mode programs.
Appreciate the video guys and your opinions regarding both vehicles. Huge fan of the Cybertruck and will be buying it. I’m not planning on doing anything near as extreme as what you put it through so I’m sure that it will hold up quite well.

I got a chance to trial the rivian here in Australia and couldn’t believe the power throttling. Absolute no go for me and something that needs to be addressed. we had rivian folks in the car who also didn’t know how to disable it any further
My big criticism with CT is that the control arms are not beefy enough for driving like this. This was obvious when the first pictures of the suspension came out. Hopefully Tesla or aftermarket offers some forged versions. CT is really only robust enough for potholes in the current equipment. I was invited to buy one recently, but I passed until they announce the 4 motor, large pack version. Hopefully by then, they fix the durability too.
Rally mode on the Rivian would have been better than drift. In my experience drift mode just wants to get the rear end kicked out then help you maintain a drift, whereas rally mode will give you power and let you steer with the throttle.
Rally mode is what Rivian designed for the kind of driving you were doing. My experience with Rally mode differs from yours. It powers through turns much better than in Drift.
Rally mode and drift mode both feel fine at slower speeds and without a lot of sideways action. As soon as the trucks were really crossed up at high speed the truck just shut off torque. I'm sure Rivian programmed it this way for safety, which makes a lot of sense - it's just not fun!
Would it be possible to make a quick video going over the damage the Cybertruck suffered? It sounds like stronger control arms may be a worthwhile aftermarket upgrade. Thanks! this was an awesome video!

Through the whoops the Raptor is able to go around ~5-8km/h faster with the same bottoming loads - but as you can see from the first clip in the video it's very violent and sends the truck rolling sideways as it bounces through the air. The Cybertruck was the smoothest but both the Cybertruck and Rivian bottom out harder and earlier in the largest compression compared to the Raptor.
Wonder how the gen2 motors will feel on the Rivian. Torque response is something they're saying is fixed in the new tri and quad motor. I've definitely felt the lack of torque vectoring on corners offroad like y'all showed... which may be a good thing to not wreck an expensive truck
Look at what mode they’re in during the test. There is no torque response issue in proper modes for racing. You can see numerous videos of Rivian’s being driven in other modes like rally without this mysterious power loss only these reviewers have ever seen.
