@@sterlingswildwest I have the CT. These stock ATs are basically street tires w deeper sipes. Terrible for off-road. Good for street. And nowhere as good as the ko2s off-road.
@@alanshaji6 well when a tire has the words A/T on them they are designated “All Terrain” regardless of what they “look like” which is the main reasons tires are labeled with their abilities and not their looks. Otherwise I’d name my tires “bad a mo-fos” because that’s what they look like 😂
@@phatspeed I think they have rolling resistance in mind the most otherwise the calipers and rotors would be a bit smaller accommodating 17 inch tires which are much more optimal off road. Truth is the CT and trucks in general rarely spend much of their life off-road. All my raptors have spent at minimum 50% of their life off road 🙌
My thoughts exactly I own a v6 Gen 3, going slower its softer and more stable than a normal truck but the magic happens when you give the truck speed to float allowing the shocks to work their magic, I could have done that in like 40 seconds.
It’s hard to see on camera but the road was washed and had several drop offs. But we have several vids out showing us going 70-80+ off-road letting the suspension doing its work. Thanks for the comments! Much appreciated!

TIRES!! YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THOSE STOCK CYBERTRUCK WHEELS. Get KO2 or KO3s with lower tire pressure you ride will unlock the next level handling on the dirt roads, also don’t do extract mode, leave it on High in off road and enter Baja with smooth and you’ll thank me later 😉

it's funny that people base a "good truck" on things that 95% of the truck drivers will never do. I know about a dozen Raptor R owners with not a single one of them ever offroading. I'd expect the same of Cybertruck owners. Do a comparison of the turning radius in a Costco parking lot. That's a test that will apply to 95% of drivers and the Cybertruck will have a resounding victory. Videos like this are like doing diving reviews with a Rolex Submariner. You really know a diver that's done a dive with one? I'm not saying none have, but I am saying most haven't. Also, the tires aren't even close to being the same and that's one of the biggest factors in offroading. The CT "offroading" with those city-slickers is almost comical.
Raptor R owners see my old 2010 extended cab with a full prerunner build, all stock suspension replaced and know they can't hang offroad. Get an old raptor and a model 3P.

Dear Sterlings and Lonesome Crow, thank you for the video and the inspiring discussion. My one week old Beast is too fat to fit in the garage, where my 99 lightning has been for the past 25 years. I was wrong to brag for two decades that my Lightning could tow a Corolla through an 8th mile quicker than a Corolla could do an 8th mile on its own. Now the friendly Beast has schooled me. Was I wrong to pass off the leaky roof and doors of my Wrangler with a simple, “It’s a Jeep, what do you expect?” Out with the old! In with the new! Don’t I love the scent of gasoline? What conflict! I love the thought of juicing my Beast for free from the rooftop of the Beast’s cave.
Locking diff not engaged on CT. And put some offorad tires on it or comparable to the raptors bfgs
CT has all terrain tires on from factory but still wouldn’t be apples to apples 🙌

I've got a 2010 Raptor modified and beat to hell over 220,000 miles and cant get a single Raptor R owner to run off road and try to keep up.

@@ShabobidhuffyCT had plenty of torque at low speed. It was a stupid comment. Electric motors don't need gears or clutches or anything.

Trail assist on and air was 18psi. The problem was it was in extract mode and there wasn’t any suspension droop left.
The factory AT tires on the CT are a joke. Swap them. Also, use the lockers on the incline test.

They did a articulation ramp test with one. The high setting is as stuff as charlie sheen at a diddy party. The medium height works best.
