This and your last few videos show some really lovely places away from the usual busy hills. I’ve always wanted to explore that peninsula, and any hills near the sea are special, whether big or small. Looking forward to your next one. 🙏
A very enjoyable wee film again, a wee hill I've never heard off. Thanks for posting. Drone shots were superb, they can be harder to fly than you would think at times.
Great video Linda. This is a beautiful part of the west and you've captured the atmosphere very well. Haven't managed to climb Hiant but managed Ben Resipol. An easy climb and more stunning views. No one around either which is always nice.
You brought back lovely memories of Ardnamurchan Linda. We (John and Mona) had a great week there in the early 90's staying at a guest house in Kilchoan. We understood the pronunciation was Kil-ho-an. We took the ferry to Tobermory, visited the lighthouse, watched Golden Eagles on Ben Hiant and climbed Ben Hiant. We were advised to go out after dinner one night to watch the deer come down from the hill for better grazing. We parked somewhere on the Sanna road and were amazed to see over three hundred (yes we counted them) deer come down, they walked right past the car to the fenced off 'better grazing'. It was marvellous to see them jump this six feet high fence from a standing start. Amazing also to note that all the deer were stags. Always look forward to your videos, wish I was as brave and adventurous. John (Mona no longer with us). We both loved Scotland.
@@JohnTaylor-wi3td Aww thanks John, so sorry for your loss. Ardnamurchan is definitely underrated and Ben Hiant is a gem of a mountain. Around 10 stags crossed the road in front of me just before the village of Kilchoan.
Loved this vlog the drone footage was incredible well done 😊. What a beautiful wee hill. Was laughing at the bit where you are going oh it’s so boggy my feet are wet, while filming but you had to walk all the way back in it to get camera, that’s dedication for you ❤. What does Brora think going back and forth 😂😂. Looking forward to the next one. 😊
@@angieshand454 Brora’s so used to going back for the camera she sometimes gives me looks as if to say ‘it’s time to go back’ if it’s a longer walk past. 😂 Thanks for watching. 👍
What stunning views, and worth the wait until the cloud had cleared, thank you for sharing, Can you please tell me which hiking poles you use and would you recommend them? I'm still experimenting with using poles
Thanks for nice video. I may walk that hill soon on my next trip weather permitting. Place name pronunciation is not easy on west coast so I always stop and ask. Kilchoan according to both Calmac and locals is Kil Hoean. Adding Lochaline just as an other example. I’ve heard both Loch Allen and Loch Aline on uTube. I asked in village shop and was told by two elderly ladies it is Loch Haarlin.
@@tkaald Thank you. I try my best with Gaelic but it’s tough. I did learn that the correct way to say Fionnphort on Mull is finn-a-fort. I met a Gaelic speaker in Oban who was giving me tips. Thanks for watching. 👍
