+Anglo-Link ma'm your lessons are great. Could you suggest how to pronounce the article 'the'?Some people pronounce it as thee and also tha.Which is the correct way?
+Nagùim Younéss I give some guidelines on these three prepositions when used in time and place expressions. You will find them here: www.anglo-link.com/index.php?/online_lessons/video_lessons??topic=prepositions
Hi.. Thanks so much for all your videos. Can i say, I insist in getting the receipt? Or it does not matter if it is a or the receipt, it still be "on" and not in..
You videos are really good... you speak and explain very clearly! I was just wondering if prepositions are just rules or fixed arrangements, I mean every time I use verb `count` it should be followed by on ? and `depend` as well, different from good that should always be followed by at?
Thank you, Marilia! Yes, that's exactly right. That's why I recommend that you learn words not in isolation but in short phrases that include the preposition if there is one: 'Count ON me!' 'Depending On the weather'. 'Good AT tennis' etc.
hello I'm Italian and I always follow your lessons , to understand English grammar , and thanks to you I learned a lot ! and I wanted to ask you a question ... I would like to come to England to learn good pronunciation ! just that many people have advised me not to come to London because they say there are many people of different nationalities .... and then go elsewhere ... where do you advise me to go? and what time of year ?
+mirkovucinic93 Everywhere in England has its own regional accent and every school will be full of foreign students. If you want to hear nothing but English, you should do a homestay programme and make sure that you are the only student, at least the only Italian student, staying with the family at that time.
Dear Prof Mino, Might I trouble you for a question ? Which is the difference between "AT the top of", "ON the top of " and "ON top of ". Many thanks. I pay my respects to you. Andrea
'at the top of' indicates the upper part of something: The air is thinner at the top (part) of the mountain. 'on top of' is a preposition of place: Something can be on top of something else: The jars are on top of the cabinet.
i'm very happy for your English lesson its really a proud to can learn with u minoo, that's my example; we went at the cinema to see the movie "Deadpool", is it right?
+sebastian alegria Hello Sebastian, As the verb you've used (go) is a verb of movement, the preposition is 'to': We went TO the cinema. You can say: We saw the movie AT the cinema.

Hello Sebastian,
As the verb you've used (go) is a verb of movement, the preposition is 'to': We went TO the cinema.
