Also heat the vinyl with a hair dryer to help pull wrinkles out. Do not apply the heat directly, swing it back and forth to gradually heat the area.

    Tires
    Labels and
    Cover for the seat.

The first ATC I ever saw was only 6 months old. It was a ATC 90 but belonged to a couple of thrill seeking Firemen from OKC. They had worn it out by the time I saw it and replaced that 90 with a 185 Suzuki or Yamaha engine and trans. The sticker was not original equipment since they would get all lit up and play (you know Firemen always follow safety rules "wink *wink"). The object was to be able to stay on and not spill your beer. When you were the passenger, that was not as easy as you would think. Luckily they would do it in the sand and no one was hurt. They also drag raced a 56 F100, flew hang gliders and had several "sand" toys. BTW You need a "Dutch Oven" for camp cooking and on top of the stove in the shop.

Well one of the decals was off centred by approx. 1\4 of an inch, when we decided to put it up for sale we took it to a dealership for evaluation. The gentleman in charge told us that, tHe one little glitch we made depreciated it by almost $1000.00!! Well my my buddy looked at him and told him point blank, "Bullshit!" . To make a long story short we actually made about $2500.00 more because the potential buyer appreciated the hard work we had put into it!!!! 😁😁😁

Then just lay the decal on the soapy area so you can adjust where you want it. Simply use a credit card wrapped with paper towel to squeegee out the soapy water. All done!

To get that salmon on point, ALWAYS start with the skin side down. Next time you cook you up some salmon, grab you a cast iron skillet, some fresh Thyme, butter, salt, and a little bit of cracked pepper. Sprinkle the fillet with a little salt and pepper. Throw some butter and thyme in the skillet and lay your salmon in skin side down. Grab the spoon and tilt the skillet to pool the butter and thyme. Baste the salmon by spooning on the butter. Once that skin is golden brown and crispy, flip the fillet and continue basting for about two minutes. Tell your fans how it taste! Hopefully, you'll enjoy the food as much as I enjoy your videos.

Use a heat gun or a hair dryer when you remove stickers and they’ll come off clean. You gotta get close to it with a hair dryer but don’t get to close with a heat gun and keep it moving don’t stay in one place to long or you’ll damage the paint or plastic. Just go slow and don’t get it to hot. When it’s pretty toasty to the touch it’s ready.

Ok I looked through quite a few comments to see if someone already told you but I didn't see it. I use a spray bottle with water mixed with rubbing alcohol. I mix around 1 part alcohol to 3 parts water. It makes it so that you can move it around til you get it where you want. No worries about getting soap out, alcohol will dry up clear.

dont heat up those spikes under the buddyseat , remember that theres foam rubber under that cover , that stuff burns like oil you need an actual fire extinguisher to smother the fire
just wedge a small screwdriver under the spike and carefully pry them open
to prevent the foam from bunching up put a plastic bag over it , it makes the foam a litle more slippery (works great on car seatbacks ) i usually started in de middle of all four straights and worked toward the corners , makes sure its spaced out the same all over and it wrinkles a lot less
neat trick for putting stickers on , use soapy water in a spraybottle and wet the surface , the slap the sticker over that , the soapy water alows you to slide the sticker untill its placed correctly
squeegy the water away from under the sticker and alow to dry , then take of the top sticker protection , works great for windowtinting too

Never had a bad reaction from brake cleaner and bodywork. De-stickered all my past bikes/cars with the stuff. And I use it before pulling the sticker. So the whole sticker is easier to remove and usually brings the glue with it 🙌

Nice work, guys. That tensioner looks like it was made with a rollerblade wheel(hard poly). I'd say your best bet is to buy a piece of white nylon and use Ike's lathe to make a new roller. It's very easy to make, just take your time. There's 100 people that can walk you through the process, me included. Give me the dimensions and I'll make you one. I have the material.

Here's a trick to getting rid of the glue for just about any label, use regular rubbing alcohol same stuff you use to clean cuts 90% or better (less water in it). Then you can just use say a table spoons worth on the tank size stick and rub it in with your finger, then wipe with a rag repeat if necessary. As for applying decals, try spraying a soapy water solution to surface and be liberal with it so the decal doesn't stick and can still be slid around. Once your happy with the placement work from the middle out to push the bubbles out and get a flat full adhesion, if you do get a small bubble try a hair dryer and softly work it out.

Thats not the original cover for that trike. In 1985 it would be a blue cover, and the early 70s were all 3 speeds but the last few years were 4 speed. Great video guys.

For sticker/decal/glue removal I've started using those rubber eraser wheels. I just finished removing a ridiculous amount of vinyl pinstriping from a '95 S10 and it was so much quicker and easier than any of the chemicals/cleaner hacks I've used in the past.

I went through quite a few of them tensioners on my atc 110 when i was younger. I ended up removing the old wore out sprocket and bolting a piece of hardwood on the tensioner inplace of the tiny sprocket for the chain to ride on. Worked better than expected. Pretty certain it is still on it.

Guys, a suggestion. Buy and experiment with a cheap powder coat system (Harbor Freight). I use an old large electric cook oven and it works amazingly well. The results are fantastic and it is so much more durable than rattle can paint or (ugh) a paint brush.

Back in the late 70s, my dad's friend Charlie had a brand new ATC 90, and a brand new GMC Gentleman Jim (black and gold, sort of a Smokey and the Bandit TRUCK) pickup. He let me try out the ATC. I gave it too much gas, which makes the front end light and even harder to steer. I went straight into the side of the GMC. A GMC/ATC interface. Minor damage to the truck (I say minor, cuz it wasn't mine). To this day, I've never TRIED to ride another 3 wheeler.

Tech Tip: After you split the wheels and replace the seals use tire slim liberally between the wheel halves. They will leak no matter how much sanding you do. The slim will stop the leaks. Been there done that.

    • @ScottGovey

Have you ever seen what tire slim does to steel and aluminum rims? Changed many tires that had tire slim in them for who knows how long. Corrodes them real bad. Actually did an experiment on a brand new painted rim, ran the tire and wheel for one season and pulled it apart and it was rusted so bad it was flaking. Just my personal experience with tire slim.
