I truly enjoyed the character Tyrese. When he was on the show I would read comic fans disappointed that a lot of his comic story arc was given to Daryl who didn’t exist in the comic . His death was so sad, but like you said it was very impactful.
Thanks for the shout-out Theo 🤘🔥, yeah Tyreese was a really awesome and underrated character and I really wish he survived longer he was arguably one of the most compassionate people in the group
I think his unique introduction and deviation from the comic series was alot of potential for him as a character I think the writing team threw out as "Rick already has a right hand man" arguably in the show 2 Abraham and Daryl (in the comics arguably moreover Michonne) and hence his characters inspiration had little to take from the comics for a good work of passion with the series
Tyreese's death scene is my favorite in the series. I find it very heavy, and given the significance it deserved. and the following episode, I believe it's called "Them" is my favorite episode. We never see the group at a lower point both physically and emotionally than in that episode. and at the very end, Aaron shows up as a glimmer of hope to take them to Alexandria.
Tyreese was a good character, although i'm curious what exactly caused him to change. When he was introduced, and through season 3 he was a beast, basically a tank when it came to killing walkers. Yet in season 4, especially after leaving the prison, it was like he was now hesitant in killing the walkers, only doing it when it couldn't be avoided.
Tyreese was one of my favorite characters in Seasons 3, 4, and 5, his death was one of the saddest in the show and one of the very few I teared up at all for. It’s long drawn out painful and inevitable nature was so sad yet it felt like it was very avoidable.
I didn’t cry but I was pissed. I knew Tyreese had to die eventually but I wanted him to go out like a badass maybe saving Judith, Sasha or Carol from a horde of walkers that just overwhelmed him but no he goes out by a ninja child walker.
I honestly think he was killed off wayyyy too soon. I think he would've been better to make it to the savior arc and get killed off there imo. the dynamic between him and negan could've been awesome imo
Another banger, I really love these character analysis videos of yours! Tyreese was such a great guy, but I guess it's realistic that someone with that good a heart probably wouldn't make it very long in that world. I'd love to see your take on Princess!
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your channel Theo. I've noticed a recent trend of TWD commentary videos in my youtube feed, but you really bring to light how underutilized some of the characters were in the earlier seasons who would have made the show even better had they lived longer (ex. Noah, Axel, Oscar). Thank you so much again and I can't wait to see the future content you put out!
Ty got bit twice. First by Noah’s brother then the other walker that snuck in the house got Ty pinned to a wall and Ty realizing he was most likely dead realized the only way to break free is to put his arm in the walkers mouth so he can push it off him but the walker bit down after Ty pushed it.
Fair point but Tyreese was further gone and Herschel was able to lay still and had more bandages to stop the bleeding. Tyreese was in a car with almost nothing and bled out
@@theohuntt it reminded me of the Simpsons Lethal Weapon skit and the Murtaugh character. On his retirement he buys a boat called The Live 4 Ever. Ha ha that's him dead!
One of greatest TWD characters of all time. Both Comic Tyreese and TV Tyreese were awesome in their own way. Comic Tyreese was an absolute tank and Rick’s best right hand man. Loved how he solo’d an entire gym full of walkers. TV Tyreese was a big teddy bear with an insane amount of self control and integrity. I hope he gets a proper shoutout on one of these spin-offs for protecting Judith.
Personally, i liked him more in the comics as a character, but the actor is very good and i've seen him in other things as well, he deserved to see Alexandria.
tyreese has always been one of my all time favorites and I still hate how they killed him but his hallucinations were actually good additions to a death but for me personally I think a death would've been more impactful if his humanity kept on getting challenged where he would end up dying to another human whom he is forced to not forgive where he will fully understand how life works now but still wants to keep his humanity balanced. Him dying to a random kid walker was kind of bullshit and kind of shoehorned in just to give us another death because of the cast getting too big and even worse it was right after beth's death so it really did drain a lot of the fans when watching 2 back to back deaths. I still wished he could've made it to Alexandria where he would finally put his past to rest and move on and try to keep Alexandria going and it could've been where his new conflicts would've started where he needs to help the stubborn alexandrians to change their ways of living. Plus the things that he missed out on like imagine his killing spree on the walker horde in Alexandria just like what he did in season 4, the began lineup where I think it both him and Abraham being killed off would've affected sasha to the worse which makes her suicidal missions and tendencies make more sense cause she lost two of the most important people in her life.
At first I really didn't like him, I don't really know why but his attitude annoyed me especially after Karen's death, but after the fall of the prision he quickly became one of my favourites
I'm a new subscriber. I love your videos. You even had me tearing up in this one and a couple of other ones. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what you give us in the future.
@theohuntt I'm sure they will. I had to get myself together in the car before getting home from work because my wife would of been like "what happened to you!!!" Lol
by far, my favourite character in TWD. his death hits him harder than any characters deaths. he's not the typical big guy: strong, no brain, aggressive. he's actually very realistic, the first time they shown that while her sister is a sharpshooter, he's far from it, and instead chose to stick with meele combat. he's forgiving individuals, and actually work together as teamwork. such a lovely character, and i wish he survived a little bit more.
6th comment! I watched this show religiously until season 7 then the characters and story got boring and repetitive. Watching these reviews of early characters reminds me of how good the show was initially, and like GOT, how lame it got when all the good characters got killed off
I really liked Tyrese. I wish he would have gone out fighting a hoard of walkers in some spectacular scene. The way he went just seemed so careless. Like, the group knew to always clear a house/building that they entered. He let his guard down and was gone just like that. Anyway…what a bout a video on Dale?
I forgot that's how Tyreese died. So the group amputate Hershel's leg when he's bitten and he lives but when Tyreese's arm is amputated by the group after he was bitten he bled to death?
I’m my opinion I think show was really dumb to just kill off Tyreese’s Girlfriend just like that, they could of at least made her a big character in the series that could of lead up to Tyreese is death
I love your videos, but they make me realize how poorly thought out and written TWD was even in its relatively early days. So many characters with wasted potential or killed off for shock YEARS before everyone through a fit because of Glen's death.
So we were all just waiting for this video to drop?
Hahahah I hope it lived up to expectations!
Tyrese is a personal favorite character of mine and he always will be. Truly too good for that world. I wish his legacy was remembered more
Yeah I feel like after his death no one really mentioned him :(
True. But I wish he had a more meaningful death. Dying to like one or two zombies is kinda pathetic
I truly enjoyed the character Tyrese. When he was on the show I would read comic fans disappointed that a lot of his comic story arc was given to Daryl who didn’t exist in the comic . His death was so sad, but like you said it was very impactful.
Yeah 100% I would probably say comic Tyreese is cooler than his tv show counterpart but tv show Tyreese is still awesome!
Thanks for the shout-out Theo 🤘🔥, yeah Tyreese was a really awesome and underrated character and I really wish he survived longer he was arguably one of the most compassionate people in the group
100% the actor did a great job portraying him, Thank you so much for supporting the channel!

Him and Tdog were real ones, and i love them both so much. His death hit me the hardest and that episode was so sad and beautiful.
Tyreese's death scene is my favorite in the series. I find it very heavy, and given the significance it deserved. and the following episode, I believe it's called "Them" is my favorite episode. Tyreese was such a good character and the actor that played him did so well plus that same actor played the legendary character Coach from L4D2

I think it was the mental toll of killing and who he had lost effected his fighting spirit which is a very human reaction
One of my favorite characters on this show.
He’s so good, and is acted brilliantly
Absolutely! ❤

Tyreese has gotta be one of my top five favorite characters. He was amazing!
As someone who's super close with thier brother, I balled like a baby when he died, felt so bad for Sasha
I didn’t cry but I was pissed. I knew Tyreese had to die eventually but I wanted him to go out like a badass maybe saving Judith, Sasha or Carol from a horde of walkers that just overwhelmed him but no he goes out by a ninja child walker.

Yeah that would have been awesome but I do think his storyline came to a natural end so I wasn’t to mad
@@theohuntt yeah, I think what made it upsetting to me is Noah died almost immediately after. same idea as Carl and Siddiq, pointless deaths
@@sourmintsowplays648yea but Noah died like 3 episodes after Tyreese died where as Siddiq got all of season 9- season 10a to live.

Yay! It's you again! Also I love this character. This actor was amazing in The Expanse too ❤

I love that idea I’ll defo have to make that video soon, thank you for the kind words!
Fun fact: Chad L Coleman also voiced Coach in Left 4 Dead 2. A memorable character who still has memes made about him today.

Tyrese was such an amazing character, his death episode will always be one of my favorites.
Tyreese was awesome. He's the kind of guy I'd want be my side. I wish we'd gotten more time with him.
Yeah I totally agree with you!
Hardly believe that with what you got on your short and 1 video also the Based Replacement will Continue😎
The Great Replacement will continue😎 also being anti-yt is based
Hershel was fine after his amputation, an elderly gentleman…Tyreese an ex nfl player passes away…

Tyreese was my favorite character in the whole twd seeing him die felt surreal
I like how they telegraphed Bob's death with his ridiculously upbeat demeanor befor his end.
Yeah Bob mate, you need to reel that in!
Hahahahah so true

Another one left in Noahs wake
But seriously, Ty should have lived to see Alexandria

honestly, based off how his character was i was like ain’t no way he’s surviving
Well Judith really just doesn't matter because they haven't done anything with their character anyway so that's not making them important
Oh Coach....
