Bob was great. I always liked him. I think what he did surviving alone is what i’d do. He wandered around and stayed on top of a shipping container or truck where no zombie could get him.

I loved Bob as a character. Very relatable. I'm an alcoholic and Addict myself. I understand totally how he felt. The struggle is real. He was still able to stay positive even till the end. Tainted meat! I love that part. We needed more Bob in the show.

So, let's clear up the massive amount of misinformation in this video: Lizze isn't based on Axel/Thomas or ANY of the Prisoners at all. Lizzie is based on BEN. Ben kills their brother for the same reasons/implications Lizzy killed their sister, and thinks walkers are people too. In the comics, the group doesn't know how to deal with Ben, so at night, a VERY YOUNG Carl (about 8 years old) kills him whilst everyone is asleep. There is absolutely ZERO elements of comic Axel or any Prisoner's storylines in Lizzie's storyline. ALL of her storyline happens nearly 1:1 as it does in the show in issues 60 and 61, right down to killing animals.

Awesome video! Bob has to be one of my favorite characters. I would not be like Rick or Daryl in the apocalypse. I would be just like Bob. The conversation that he had with Rick was so good. I'm happy that people are talking about Bob!

Bob was a combat medic but he was a human being who had seen and suffered both before and after the apocalypse from a various number of situations from war, to loss of friends. A lot of folks think that law enforcement, first responders or military personnel would be desensitized to the situation in the world, but in reality no one would be truly desensitized. Bob is realistic because even though he has his own specific character, people of all walks of life and backgrounds can related to something about Bob and how his role and character in the show is depicted. Bob is one of my favorite characters.

Aw man, finally someone talking about Bob!! I loved this character, my heart broke when he died.

What we're not talking about with Bob is that while relatable; his death is Dale's in the comics. Imagine in an alternate time-line, AMC didn't fire Frank Darabont, where we got a more faithfully adapted show and we actually see Dale die in that way instead. With Jeffrey Demunn's acting I think it would more creepy than over the top.

I miss bob so much

I just finished the episode where he is there for the last time (I have to admit it's one of my many rewatches). I didn't like Bob at the beginning, but as soon as I started to warm up to him, like Sasha, he got taken away. When he went missing and Sasha was worried he was alone, it just shows she really knew him more than she wanted to admit. He hates being alone, and he was right about her. She's tougher than stone, but she's so sweet too. He's the other way. He seems sweet as a button, but he's tough. Considering the writing of most minors characters not being the best, yet, Bob being so loved despite his short run-time, I think a lot of credit should be given to the actor, who had expert charisma and worked the character well.

This is a good theory but it unfortunately doesn’t work because the whisperers weren’t introduced in the comics until 2014 meaning Robert kirkman Didn’t create them until a bit before the season 5 premiere. So Morgan was just crazy and Lizzie was just a Psycho.

This is so stupid, Lizzie is schizophrenic, we literally see her having auditory hallucinations of walkers conversating with her and Morgan said “people wearing dead people’s faces” because that whole arc was about how he stays away from people because they all die and he’s left to survive by himself, he’s saying all the people he could care about are already dead and it’s just a matter of time before he’s alone again

sorry about this really long comment. i go a bit off topic but this video made me ponder a few things and, for whatever reason, i felt like expressing this. i dont think that bob died too soon but i do think it was a bit spoiled and ruined by the deaths of Beth, Tyreese, and Noah, which happened just a few episodes later. i do like the fact that no character is safe and it makes me fear for the lives of the other characters in the story. but i also think deaths should be poetic and make sense within the story. that is the case with Bob, but Beth, Tyreese, and even Noah's deaths made it feel like the show killed them off bc the runners didn't know what to do with them. so before I rewatched the show many years after seeing Bob's death, I though back on it as one of the deaths in season 5 that were done due to the show having characters the writers didn't know what to do with. 1. Beth's death made no sense (she was shot after attempting to kill an Dawn Lerner by stabbing her with a pair of tiny scissors, despite the fact that Dawn is armed and is surrounded by a bunch of trained and armed cops). 2. Tyreese's death was too sudden and out of nowhere. i think the guy should've gotten into a new relationship with someone in Alexandria who would later get captured by the Saviors and, in his pursuit in trying to find them, would get shot through the eye by Dwight after Dwight would steal Daryl's crossbow, or maybe get killed by Negan in the future lineup. But no, they killed him in both a lame and out-of-the-blue way, just to make Sasha (an annoying and uninteresting character) more psychotic and insufferable. 3. although Noah's death was far from bad and is probably one of the most memorable deaths I've seen (i actually remember the death and special effects more than the character himself), it didn't really have to happen and it could've been given to any young scavenger in Alexandria. he could've had a role in the show similar to Heath's in the comics, as the actual character in the show is a throw-away character with hardly any personality. Instead of making Denise a lesbian, they could've made Noah and Denise get together and later, his legs would get blown off. or maybe, if the actor wanted to leave, Noah could've died when he visited his family's community. ALSO BIT OFF TOPIC: if it were me, i would've made it so that the Terminus survivors didn't show up until after Beth was retrieved from the group. at that point, the viewer might even forget about gareth and might think he's dead. in fact, there is a scene in the first episode of season 5 where it almost looks like Rick kills Gareth. now, when looking closely at the scene, it's still pretty clear that Rick didn't kill him. But not many people would be analytical of it. and if the following episodes feature events like Rick and the group finding a different place to stay at, possibly an old shack or just a house, Beth, Dawn Lerner, Noah, later finding father gabriel, who'd lead them to his large church, and later retrieving Beth, then the viewer would probably forget what happened to Gareth and not remember if he's dead or not. If the viewer begins to ponder, they'd remember the scene where it looked like Rick killed and Gareth and they'd think "shit, i guess Rick killed Gareth." this is also assuming they haven't read to comics and thus, don't think anything would mirror what ended up happening in the comics. and then later of course, Bob will go missing, get his legs chopped off, and he'd later die. that's how i'd write it. Beth would still be alive and will probably accompany Glenn, Tara, Rosita, Abraham, and Eugene to Washington, Rick and co might take Noah to the community he used to live in and he may or may not die there instead of Tyreese (as at that point Noah wasn't really a central character), and later the group will reunite somehow after Eugene's big reveal and then they'll all make their way to Alexandria.

The walkers hadn't even been introduced in the comments yet during season 3 and 4, so no.

Even though its officially stated as not true (i also think its just a hair too early in the timeline to logically fit) its a fun thing to think about. Morgan CLEARS some walkers, loots the bodies, finds one is in a mask, mind is further broken In another universe, maybe Beta is actually Nick from fear instead of halfy Alas we can only dream

Bob is one of my favs. I have a soft spot for the smaller main characters, like Gabriel and Eugene (always loved the two and fell more in love the more they developed), just wish Bob could've developed like those two, but I understand why

I guess technically Nick from fear was an addict but that was pre-apocalypse. But I agree with everything you said. Bob was a great and even relatable character.

Lizzie was not based off Axel, (Thomas Richards was the serial killer in the comics not Axel), Lizzie and Mika were based off the twin boys Billy and Ben who were part of the group from the beginning. Ben killed animals various times then killed his brother believing that he'd come back since the brain wasn't damaged, almost verbatim Lizzie's lines from the show. Also Beth did not exist in the comics, in her place were twin girls, Rachel and Susie Greene

Plus don't forget that 1 episode when Eugene and rosita was walking around somewhere and he threw up you could see that there was a Walker behind a fence looking directly at them that looked like a whisper..

Wow, I didn't realize this was the universal opinion of the viewers. I stopped watching after Carl died, but I had no idea everyone else did, too 😅

To me everything TWD died in 2018 in my opinion just to me Nick got killed fear TWD changed Carl died and made a huge difference in the show and only really cared about Daryl also telltale’s TWD game ended and telltale went out of business even tho telltale is back they don’t own TWD games anymore
