Pls, as a 1st car driver or owner buy a vehicle that soothes not ya class, not its fuel consumption capability, or how cheap a car is. 1st, go to a driving school to learn how to drive. After that, buy a vehicle that works best for ya purpose of NEEDING a car. My 1st vehicle as a 1st time car owner is a 2008 Toyota 4runner. It works best for my purpose. And it cost approximately triple of 5m. I saved up and waited till I could "conveniently" afford it. Why rush into what you can not consistently maintain, and that cannot consistently serve ya personal purpose? If you follow any other MINOR reason for buying a car, you'll regret it. Cheers!

Diesel cars are harder to maintain here...yes diesel is more expensive but that fuel consumption on diesel is better than petrol cars. The real problem is maintenance, not enough good diesel mechanics
Definitely an honorable mention to this list would be the Nissan Micra. It’s fuel efficient and zippy, also very rugged and reliable. Get the manual. The gear is more reliable than the automatic.

@@Ntaman8209 Benz is mostly built for performance, hence they are made to use premium fuel (that's something we do not have in Nigeria), so those cheap Benz are the ones that break the fastest. Most of them U will enjoy them for only 6months to 1year of using them in Nigeria. If U buy a Nigerian used, sorry for U, it's already dead 😂 Our poor fuel will kill the engine faster than a 2mins man cum! And once the issue starts, it doesn't stop! U go sleep mechanic until U go either sell cheap or dump am for mechanic shop due to money issue. This is something most Benz users don't know since most of them are young guys without experience, And car dealers won't tell U either! If you want drive Benz say na under must, drive a model like ML350, that big SUV, it's rugged and very reliable 😂
