    I ended up offsetting the top brackets for the radiator. I highly recommend it. It took a couple of minutes with a vice and the sit flush now.

      Thank you for watching and the feedback. It would be a better kit if the mounts didn't bend when tightening down the radiator. Thought it isn't a flush spot so it makes since they do. That is cool you found a work around for it. I didn't take enough time to look into it. A year later. It is still holding strong.

    Def cost effective for the 1 inch lift. People say that not worth for “only” 1 inch? But they do not understand what only 1 inch does for approach, breakover and departure angles. Looks great too. As long as the steering is not affected, well worth it. But I’ll pay a shop to do the labor.

      @crodrc51able it is good mod for the price with great results for off roading. No steering changes in my time having it on the 4runner. One I would definitely do again.

      @timthetrailman4563 The algorithm is something that makes or breaks you with your videos being found. The algorithm isn't really too kind to us even with the subscriber numbers we have. They really push certain people's content and others not so much. When they do suggest our videos, our view numbers go way up. It's something I still don't understand how it works.

      @timthetrailman4563 The best advice I can give is make videos because you like it and you want to help people. If you're doing it for those two reasons, you'll be happy. If you're doing it because one day it will make you a lot of money, you might be heavily disappointed. We make decent money, but still not remotely enough for the time we put in. It's very much a labor of love and all about helping people first and foremost.

    Do You have a manual transfer case shift lever and did it affect its throw or function at all? Great video boss!

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a manual transfer case. I have used 4wd since the lift and I couldn't tell a difference in engaging 4wd. I did only use 4hi. I doubt 4 low would be any different. Thank you for watching and the compliment.

    Can you follow up on the steering column? How do you account for the inch if the steering column splines have the flat parts the bolts have to line up with?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did not need to do anything with it. I did attempt to disconnect for the lift but it was stuck pretty good. Almost a year later everything is still going well.

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has been great. No issues as of yet. Just snug getting the battery posited cable on top with the 2 little fuses. Not all 4runners have these fuses I am told.

    Thanks for the video, I also have the same lift waiting to be installed. I wish you had a close-up of the steering shaft connection after the lift. Were there enough splines for the 1" lift?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching. I am sorry for not getting video of that part. I actually don't think it changes anything where it bolts on the splines. I couldn't get mine to slide to release it. It also didn't give me any problems lifting it with it still attached. Feel free to message me on IG under Tim the Trail Man and i can send you a picture of the steering shift with the lift on it

      Thank you for watching and asking. I don't mind at all. I wanted to have something a little different than most and to find out if the TSS still worked properly. Some have been told not to do it because it would mess it up.

      Hand tools. Nothing is that tight and I don't have a great air compressor at the house. I might have used a cordless dewalt once bolts were broke loose but it is the little driver one.

    Will it work with KDSS?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see why it wouldn't. It only lifts the body. The KDSS I believe connects from the frame to the suspension. Please double check me and ask Toytec.

      What are your thoughts against a body lift?

    • @chrisridebike8
      @chrisridebike8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. All it does it raise the center of gravity and make aftermarket parts not fit. Bumpers, sliders, and anything that fits close to the body will now have a 1 inch gap. And the minimal additional clearance for tires is not worth it. Just get a suspension lift.
