As someone who likes to breakdown my opponent's strengths it's easy for me to see what is most dangerous about Buakaw. And he's a got little trick with 3 of this techniques that make it so hard to defeat him.
Today we look at that and I explain just why it's so dangerous.

I can confirm that you are pronouncing his name absolutely correctly. บัวขาว: บัว = Bua (You can break this down in to 2 steps - Boo + Ah), ขาว = Kaw (pronounce the same way you would “cow”).

@@juanmejiagomez5514 Yes, the word for knee in Thai is “เข่า” which is pronounced like “Cow”. Also the color white which is part of Buakaw’s name is “ขาว”, also pronounced like “Cow”. Although there are differences in the “tone” pronounced when speaking in Thai. :)

I thought Buakaw was left-footed and that was the explanation for his phenomenal left kick but I just looked for a video of him playing football/soccer and he is actually right-footed

If you practice too much,left-right goes away
I Couldn’t kick with my left leg. But when i moved to another flat,i tied my pad to a piller. The piller is in a position Where left kicking is easier than right. 1 year has passed, now my left kick is 100x better (yeah i slacked on the right one)

It's also good to mention that it's not just the impact of the round kick,
but he's still straightening his leg as it lands,
so that it drives into the opponent's body,
and the push gives his leg some spring back
    for fast withdrawal/reset.

    • @kevingray4980
      @kevingray4980 ปีที่แล้ว +1

And that when he's doing that, it's not pushing straight in, but springing through. The point of contact and direction of force rocks slightly on impact.

I saw an interesting jomboy video in which he explained the effectiveness of a pitcher to throw strikes because he could deliver balls in different areas of the strike zone even while releasing the ball the same way.
Thus the batter couldn't predict the ball trajectory based on the release.
This appears to be the same phenomenon.

This is the principle why Giorgio Petrosyan and Samart Payakaroon are considered as GOATS. They don't throw flashy or fancy techniques. They're the best because they can implement basic techniques in a variety of ways. It's the philosophical concept of finding a million use for a hammer. How creative can you be, with a single tool?

Try headgear with nose protection. I really recommend Gabriels video on his favorite headgear (which has noseprotection too):
      th-cam.com/video/L4T3uOCw8GQ/w-d-xo.html
I think this might really help you.
By the way my nose got bigger too especially from the first year boxing...the more I sparred the less I got hit...working on an active highguard is super important too.
Just let someone throw different combinations at you and you defend in highguard while keeping eye contact (!!!).
      Something like this:
      th-cam.com/video/xpgpx9DuWnI/w-d-xo.html
      Cheers
