Hello and thank you very much for your comment and for watching my videos. Yes you're absolutely right. The method showing in the service manual makes you disconnect the wire. And that wire is secured by such a tiny screw and nut I don't like messing with it. It could easily break. Also I've noticed sometimes when I put the cover back on it grounds out and the bike wouldn't start. What bike do you have?

@@irfaanxlcr8370 hey man thanks for the video this is a great tip, I'm going to try this on my bike. I'm trying to get a 1971 Honda sl125 running and the timing is way off. Someone's been through this bike before and everything was wrong.

Thanks for watching the video. Sorry it didn't turn out better but I'm doing everything myself plus holding the camera. What bike do you have? If I can help you in any other way with it please let me know. Have a great day.

Hi. I am doing this at the moment on a 85 honda. noticed that the highest point on the cam is not the same as tdc. its slightly after. cam timing is correct. you would think the highest point of the cam would be tdc.

Hello and greetings. Thank you very much for watching my videos and for your comment. I find that the cam is so small you really can't tell what the highest point on it is. That's why I take the flywheel/stator cover off and set the timing using that. Maybe if the timing chain is stretched and slack it would give you some variance. The main thing is to have the spark plug Spark on the F mark on the flywheel. Let me know how you make out with your project please. Thank you very much and have a great day

I Do !!! Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting. I need a camera person to assist me. It's difficult to do the work and hold the camera and focus on what I'm doing all at the same time. Anyhow I did it for the benefit of people who have these old bikes. It's very useful information and I hope you got something from it. What motorcycle do you ride? Have a great day sir.
