The Violin being drowned by the other instruments compared to the OST where it is almonst a solo made me tear up, since for me it is the hope and innocence of my people who are facing the cold and hearing it drown against the... OH GOD IT'S SO GOOD!!! HOLY SHIT!!!
I have the exact same feeling when listening to it! it feels like the bass instruments are almost the will of humanit itself in it's desperate struggle, while the chaotic Violins try to bring the cold ever closer, just for the bass to drown everything out... This is probbably the first piece of music that actually physically connected sounds to emotions and to people
A tv show (or even an anime) of frostpunk would be amazing. There can be a less "rich people bad" theme unlike snowpiercer, instead on the survival of humanity and to what extent they'll take things to survive. I can see it so clearly on amc
And lower, where the cold and the winds tore at the people, in their frozen huddled forms trying to warm eachother, only to freeze together, who will remain??
2:44 I absolutely love how the violin seem to resemble the temperature steadily dropping with the powerful bombastic music in the background that could resemble the resilience of the citizens, making sure that the city survives. Such an awesome game altogheter and I can't wait to play Frostpunk 2!

From the average 20°C at night to 16°C I can't sleep without wearing socks, wearing jacket and double the blanket. And frankly I do wonder how you guys in Australia adapt at that climate below 10°C...
I'm sad to say it, but I like the in-game version so much better; way more emphasis on strings, less sharp harp, and the bass trumpets just blow my mind. I get this awesome anxious, yet epic feeling every time the recorded version hits, but this somehow doesn't really touch me:(

Feel like this arrangement massively overused the base drum. It should be used to deliver the occasional shock whereas the timpani should have been used for the footstep sound. The violin solo played the accent note wrong… what a shame for an epic OST
Orchestra performance was mid and animation didn't show what it needed to - struggle among townsfolk, fascist regime, spider-like automatons, last desperate sprint to the main hearth. A total waste of time.

People who are the ones asking for stronger measures. Doubled on Last Autumn scenario where your routes are either police state wirh engineers and prisoners or communism with mandated executions of enemies of the people

Really immerse the audience by putting the air conditioning on full blast so that it gets progressively more frigid as the song gets further along.
