I like that the soundtrack before the storm is more in the background and subtle but increases in volume throughout the game as you progress. It really strengthens the power of "The city must survive" when the storm arrives and things start to go downhill. This soundtrack was clearly designed by a genius who knew exactly what they were doing. 10/10 would listen again
When you get closer and closer in game towards the storm you don't even notice the music changing into more and more dramatic. It goes so fluidly into what is happening it simply is part of the entire experience. It just fits so perfectly
I've only watched another boy playing Frostpuck and got inlove with it. An amazing game. So real, So dark , So beautiful. And the soundtruck.....another level. Fantastic

There is no "The darkest of days". Perhaps, because each new day only becomes darker than the previous ones, or maybe the people just won't admit the darkest of days when it finally comes. The folk is not looking for any salvation anymore, nor they're searching for redemption. All the people need now is but a single ray of hope.

Such a well-composed soundtrack for such a well-designed game, this track in particular really gets me in the feels. A ton of work clearly went into making the world feel abjectly depressing in its beauty and it gives the entire game such a rich and developed mood, the soundtrack is a huge part of that. What a work of art.
not a lot of games make me search for their music but this is one of them. Flawless job lads! Personally i only searched for skyrim, witcher and similar soundtracks. You guys should be proud. Game is great and unique too
Theme of the Frostpunk, "the Darkest of days" and "City must survive" is most popular, but all of these tracks are great! Most beautiful video games music in 2010-s.
I’m not sure exactly how you’d make a sequel seeing as how this game is complete in its own right. Maybe a more moral choice oriented tech tree? Not sure. I love how beautifully simple this game is. I’m not sure how you’d make a sequel. But I’d like one.
I'm amazed at how well this music captures the feeling of hopelessness that accompanies humanity's attempts to survive. However, there's a note of hope that says, "All is not lost. We have a chance." This soundtrack perfectly complements the overall gaming experience. Listening to it, whether in-game or out, sends chills down my spine. Unfortunately, the second part of the game no longer evokes the same mix of emotions: sadness, despair, and hope. It feels completely different. There's a task to survive, but if you fail, no big deal. Just try again. It's a shame that Frostpunk 2 has lost that emotional edge.
Simply beautiful, the best track on the OST, the most deeply composed interpretation of the overarching (main) theme, thank you for the composer and devs for a game that could result in this gem. edit: the Steam Sale arrived just in the nick of time, thanks for that too!
Dam through DDR Jake I have connected this music with doing stupidly hard survivour challenge runs on 1x times speed in endless mode... *Places down **_ANOTHER_** set of Tents to fix a Road just to demolisch them imminently after*
Dear game developers, I humbly suggest the inclusion of a toggle in the settings to stop automatic building size adjustments. This feature can be a bit bothersome. Having the ability to maintain fixed building sizes would greatly enhance the gameplay. Let's work together to ensure our voices are heard by liking and commenting to support this idea.

Seriously, this game and this soundtrack is really staying with me
Havent played the game for a week (finished the campaign) and the soundtrack is still in my head
These songs, while they are perfect for this game, also remind me a little bit of the movie Snowpiercer.
Come to think of it. This game and that movie have VERY similar premises and themes.
(I haven't watched the movie, but I've seen the trailers)
@@victornoel36Well hello again, fellow happy face meme user!!!! (or hi for the first time, I forgot who I met last time)

I feel like the last parts of this song would fit well in a movie scene where the main character has a terrible realization.

The sound of all music of Frostpunk speak clary the signification of all title of all music ... magic
A great game, and a genius composer, rivaled maybe only by Jeremy Soule and Marcin Przybyłowicz.
Justin Bell could put up a pretty good fight video game music-wise
Mick Gordon has to be on the list as well
I love how this piece has the same motifs as the "City must survive" creating a beautiful cohesion throughout the soundtracks.
