I own an A35. I've had it for over 2 months. I love the handling, throttle, and overall design of a sleeper sports car. $56k is a lot for an A35. My dealer has like 5-6 cars with barely any options, which is what I got. MSRP with no options sets you back 45k territory, and the infotainment system comes standard with apple car play/android auto. When comparing this car with a bmw m240i or an Audi S3, this car just blows the other two out the water.
But why would you get this instead of a Golf R? 🤔 the R comes with all of the advanced tech standard, same 0-60 times, AWD, and is much cheaper. Adding the standard Golf R tech to this runs you $60k. I understand the A35 has a nicer interior, but I don’t see that interior being worth a $20k difference

I drove one of these (A220 not the AMG version) recently as a loaner while my car was being serviced. I was very impressed with the styling and overall quality of the ride and handling of this baby Benz!
I'm not a fan of Mercedes, however I really like how the turbo is upfront and extremely easy to access and upgrade, if need be. I use to have a 2006 Mazda Speed 6 and that turbo was basically unreachable. Awesome video as usual.

Have a C300 now and love it, but trying to figure out an empty nest car for next year. This will be high in my list to check out. I live in a rural area with a lot of twisty back roads, so small, nimble and zippy sounds great.
Great work man! Its not easy to churn out good content with this high frequency. I like the fact that you focus more on real world street use of these cars because that is where people will be driving them most of the time. It would be great if you could conclude your videos with probably a score for these cars in areas such as luxury, performance etc and maybe some comparison of same class cars to help us viewers get a good understanding of how these cars stack up. Regardless of its size, its a MB, and it's an AMG! Sharp clean body lines, Great Wheels, and Tires, love Black and Chrome, and could use a tad more of the shiny stuff! Awesome powerplant layout, and definitely powerful. 4G, lower than I expected! Interior well designed, and featured! Agree, the seats could use more bolstering! Business side... "Solid" ! You look a little cramped in the back seats. HUD unit, definite plus! Are you aware you had an extra pair of legs and feet with you on the road test? That's a first, I've ever seen that! There is a lot of gloss black on the dash and centre console. However, Mercedes is smart and they don't use gloss black on anything you will be touching.
Pleasantly surprised by this car. For an entry level AMG, this car achieved perfect balance of power and interior. Mercedes definitely steped up the game. Thanks Joe for bring us this car because almost nobody care about this car.
I think this would be a little more worth it if they would have put the GLA45 engine in it (don't know why they didn't). It's a decent car but I think I would rather have a used GLA45 over this, unless like others have said and they would give us the hatch version. Great job as always Joe LOL...when you did the exhaust sound clip I couldn't even hear it
Very sharp! Normally I wouldn’t like a 4 cylinder turbo, especially in an AMG, but at this price I think it’s ok. The front AMG badge could be larger. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 ⭐️’s. Five ⭐️’s for you Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

While my people were getting their c300 fixed, they got loaned this car, looks a little different like the rims (they still had the amg logo) but despite that I took it for a spin and it was pretty nice, shifts quick, sounds good, but tbh I feel like I heard the turbo in the c300 more so, but that’s just personal preference, for what it was it’s respectable
I mean it's impressive amg is squeezing out that much performance and efficiency out of a inline 4, but for 56k I'd rather go for a m340i with their buttery smooth inline 6. Design and interior of the Mercedes definitely nicer with that huge infotainment display
Mercedes always makes a great interior no matter the car, this was no different. The MSRP of 56K is a bit much for a compact sedan even that it is an AMG. A starting MSRP of around 40K is more like it.
