  • If you've got a propensity for addiction then you may not want to trust yourself in the AMG A35. It could be the gateway drug to a lifelong craving for evermore stimulating performance vehicles. That might be a hard habit to break.

    I bought A200 progressive line FWD 1 month ago, clicking the sport mode in highway is a joy, the car feels like flying, so light, quick and effortless.

    I’ve never been a merc guy, but the A35 is pretty tight. I just picked up a 21 last week!

      What’s the interior space like compare to a Vauxhall Astra 2017. Tryna convince my wife to upgrade to the A35 but she loves her Astra so much she don’t wanna sell 🤯🤯🤯🤯

    Great video. Just the right amount of information and no TH-cam algorithm length - thank you for being to the point.
    I bought one of these cars today and am wondering what you think of paint protection while I wait for it to arrive.

    • @CarNutvideos
      @CarNutvideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that great feedback Ron. So pleased to hear you’ve got an AMG A35 on its way to your driveway.
      As far as paint protection goes… I’m kind of on the fence with it. Never had it on any of my new cars and they seem to survive very well with a pre-summer and pre-winter wax. My thinking is, if manufacturers aren’t putting paint protection on at the factory (even for super expensive cars like Bentleys) then maybe they don’t see it enhancing the finish of their vehicles to any great extent. Keen to hear how you get on when your new car arrives.
      Cheers for watching, Ron. Blu.

      Dead right Austin, though at $90k it's an expensive first foray into the world of driving fast cars.

    Pretty wild the VW Arteon, Audi S3, and this car run similar numbers and drivetrains. I wonder about Merc vs Audi/VW reliability. I'm guessing they're similar.

    One of the better car reviews, 👍💯🥇 A35 sedan ticks all the right boxes! Well we could drown out that tarmac noise with abit of music? Not sure what sound system Mercedes offers with this " gateway drug"

    • @CarNutvideos

      Thanks DNA. I really appreciate your positive feedback. I don’t believe even some ‘bangin’ toons’ would be a long term fix for the road roar from this car. Still, if you find a playlist that works, please let me know and I’ll tel M-B to preload it into all future AMG A35s! Cheers for watching. Blu.

    Excellent review,i still am in awe that AMG can make their entry level cars push the peformance envelope so easily. Under 5 secs to 100Kph is still mind boggling for a family sedan. Question though...is it good enough you would swap your SSV Redline for it...ignoring the pricing of course.

    • @CarNutvideos
      @CarNutvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your great feedback Ariki. In terms of is the A35 good enough to prise me out of my Redline...? No. But that’s not necessarily a slight on the AMG. It’s just that I’m so into my car that even cars that are faster, more luxurious, cleverer, more exclusive and with more premium badging on them don’t really entice me to jump ship at this stage. Isn’t it great how irrational car ownership can be?!! That’s why I love making videos on cars - no two people are the same in what they find lust-worthy. Cheers for watching. 👍

    • @CarNutvideos
      @CarNutvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice car, no doubt about it Ariki. But swap my Redline for it? ....absolutely not. It’s not special enough for that to happen. Cheers for watching. Blu.

    How different between this car and A260.it seem that both have a same engine. I thought the difference is a35 like a modified a260 on stage 2?is it correct?

    • @CarNutvideos
      @CarNutvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there and thanks for your question. This car has 60kW more than a standard A250 but it’s not just about the engine power. You also have the suspension, brakes, and steering specification that AMG has dealt to. All combined, it makes this thing a far more focussed and well rounded sporting package than the standard car. Hope that helps. Cheers
      for watching.

    Wow! awesome car, nearly dragged $90k out of my retirement fund, but only nearly... I'll stick with my 4WD box for now.
    My experience is most performance cars and probably most cars in general seem to struggle with our open road course chip which is always annoying and very distracting.
    You didn't mention torque steer, so i'm guessing the AWD system negates this?
    Another great review, I always look forward to these.

    • @CarNutvideos
      @CarNutvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Paul. Great to hear from you and hope you’re all keeping well. No problem with torque steer in the A35... appears to have been engineered out, along with any other what would be called character quirks in other cars. It is noisy in rough chip and believe even an STi would be quieter. All the best pal.
