- The AMG CLA 45 is a smaller sport sedan but Mercedes made sure it has a big performance punch. Under the hood is the World's most power 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 that is pumping out 382HP & mated to a 7-speed DCT. Power gets to the ground through and AWD system which has launch control and drift mode. The exterior of the CLA is very sporty with a uniques front fascia, forged wheels and rear bumper. On the inside you will find a well laid out cabin with one of the best steering wheels in the business. Is the 2020 Mercedes AMG CLA 45 the ULTIMATE compact sport sedan?

Technology amazes me in these cars. It’s amazing what engineers can do with small engines. I remember back in the day engines twice the size produced a third of the power

I use to rent a cla 250 from a rental car company over 4 months actually had 4+ cars in 3 different colors. I love the fact it can either be driven slow, smooth and comfortable or tight and quick just via a few selections plus you get steering paddles for instant power and manual shifting.
Been waiting to find the right deal on a higher performance 45 S AMG, which has even more options and racing mode plus allows to switch from all wheel to just front wheel drive even a drift mode which the regular 45 Amg doesn't have...
The Sport 45 AMG costs more but is well worth the wait in fact looking at a gla until a Sport AMG 45S is obtainable.

Agree with blacking out the roof and color match door handles. With that being said this is one sexy machine. Great stats for a turbo 4cyl. A lot of options out there that fall under that $70k mark but they won't have that logo on the grill. So to me it comes down to how much the brand means to you. Great review as always

The AMG grill with the vertical bars may be my favorite grill in the automotive industry.
Man... what a gorgeous car. Powerful and luxurious. Also, very attainable as well. I wish this was offered as a two door. Would be a nice competitor to the Infiniti Q60S!

Great Review, awesome car, my only zonk is the display looks like they just kinda laid a long tablet pc on the otherwise excellent finished dashboard. They’re not the only company that does the IPad stuck on the dash look and I hope car companies find a good way out of that look.

A lot better than the 🐽 front end of the M440i you reviewed recently. Thanks Joe for making it easy which one I would choose if price difference is around $5k between the 2.
This does not compete with the m440i the c coupe does
I didn't say they competed as benchmarks, if both were around the similar price/performance but one has better looks I'd go with the MB.

Sharp car but $70k buckles the knee's a little Joe. Nevertheless, it looks like you really enjoyed driving it. Can't deny it is a sharp looking car and a major leap forward from the previous gen's econobox leanings. Seems there were no issues with the transmission which is promising considering the lack-luster performance of the earlier A45. Either way, no hatchback not interested. Nice work as always Joe.

Chrome on door handles means this car has the option keyless entry keyless Go . The key in your pocket and you can open all doors and push the start and you good to go 😉

Strange you don't have the more powerful version in the US, the A45s, with 310kw(415 hp)of power and 500 nm(369 ft-lbs) of torque. I recently bought an A35 hatchback. The A45s in Australia is about $115,000 driveaway. Very, very expensive. :( Keep up the great work, I am enjoying you videos.
