I have this a35 amg fully stock, best quarter mile time has been 12.4.. with passenger seat taken out.. 1/8 best time has been a 7.8.. IMO these cars have some potential, imagine with some built ons

It’s a pity that you don’t get the 228 kW (300+ hp) 8V S3 there, as I believe it would have been an even closer race between the two. Here in South Africa, we have had the 206, 210 and 228 kW on sale in the 8V S3 model.
I just got mine this December ( 2022 A35 hatch). But I agree, I haven't seen another one on the road. CLA 45 will be faster in straight line given its higher HP and TQ but maybe not by that much (just my guess based on 0-60 time)
You're obviously not using the launch control properly. Otherwise you'd hear the car idling at around 3.000rpm and when you release the brake it'll shoot off. Maybe it works differently in the US cars but that's how the LC works here in Germany. I can clearly see you stomping the gas but you have to hold gas and brake down at the same time to use the LC and just release the brake.
They're pretty closely matched on paper so this should be a good one! On a slightly related note, it sucks how the Audi RS3 was just discontinued in Canada due to emissions issues.
Not discontinued, the same thing was said about the Golf R when the production of the Mk7 was coming to an end (in the US). Sure, that particular Golf R was going to be discontinued, but the Mk8 was right around the corner and would replace it. And now look, the US is getting the Mk8 R, so the Golf R wasn’t actually being discontinued, it was just that generation that was being discontinued. Not sure what was the reason behind it, but my guess is to have people buy more because they think they won’t get it anymore. Same thing with the RS3, just watch.

That’s Audis biggest problem is the top speed! They can’t ever seem to figure that out! If they can figure out the whole top speed thing and the timing chain issues they’d be such a fun tuner car! Almost beating all their compilations

2016+ don’t have any timing chain issues anymore. and all it takes is a tune and that top speed you are looking for is there. I’ve hit 170 in mines with ease
I think AMG will win. I’m stage 1+ which is 290 HP on my GLI which covers my warranty and I was neck and neck with the S3 on a roll. That AMG has AWD and the power to match. I think AMG got this.

Test drove that A35 about a year ago. It didn't feel any fast than my Scion TC.. Now I get it's a Mercedes and all, but $50k for a car that doesn't feel any faster than a Scion? Give me a break
As anyone which did not modify himself own car, the owner didn't even know how much weight gain his s3 due to modification, but surely it did gain. More than that, a modified car using stock maps ..sometimes is slower than STOCK one. Anyway, there was shown a difference of about 20 to 30bhp for A35. Nice cars, but both of them wearing badges which LIE😂.. one of those are build by vw on in hause platform&engine, the other one is builded with renault and even other brands helping. But that's the trend, even bmw destroyed own 2er series when newer one become.. fwd bias with transverse engine.. a shitty cheap solution which pissed on sport cars bmw heritage FOR MONEY.

Nope it needs to be even stop trying to get a 1 up on the mercedes. Audi S3 2023 has 302 hp 295 torque merc a35 2023 has 306 hp 400 torque still wins.
A35/45, CLA/GLA45 are awesome little pocket rockets. Love these races! Looking at an S3 for my lady in 2022.

You just need a Rennetech tune.. I have a cla45, with a tune, it’s very close to M3/4 fast.
How did you measure it? In every review the fastest result is 13.4…

S3 looks tuned(exhaust/tinted tailights and window), A35 full stock. Am I right? Both looks amazing from back. Classic sedans that I love.
It’s not tuned or else it would have won. Both stock, Catback exhaust on the S3 doesn’t add any power, it needs a turboback to make a difference.
Cosmetic upgrades doesn’t necessarily mean tuned IMO tuned is performance enhancing upgrades.
