I owned this here in the UK earlier this year, actually great value for money! The sound you hear on this video is the same in the UK even with the OPF filters, not sure how they managed it!? Start up in sport plus is loud and crackles, great fun, I never started it any other way. Good video, makes me wish a little I kept mine.
@@aymericader1491 Totally agreed. With the facelift A35 become so much better and prettier. Can't find a more valuable and prettier hot sporty hatchback than A35
Well, less hp than your car, but newer interior and tech, best idea is to go for a test drive, try multiple brands, For example A35/45 AMG, BMW M135, Audi S3/RS3, etc and you will see what you like the most
new S3 facelift has more hp now and rear diff from Golf R, but to me the exterior and interior are looking more tame, more conservative sort of, more like a sleeper. A35 without the aero pack could serve as a sleeper as well, with more extravagant interior
Thank you Ivan for your inspiration and great videos. I just picked up my new A 35 for two weeks ago. Just LOVE every inch of interor and exterior of the car! The driving and the sound are just amazing!
@@IvanSensei I was thinking between white and silver, and choosed silver at the end. Silver color and the contrast with black rings and night package looks so nice! My first choice was actually digital white if that color would be available here in Sweden. But the only white option was polar, therefore I preferred silver. Is yours digital white?
@PejmanTehrani So did you pick the new silver "high-tech" silver - the light blue silver? Before the silver was "iridium" silver - that was the typical silver. Mine is polar white (the same as A220 before), I'm not the biggest fan of the digital white (light grey/off white shade). I also like patagonia red, but when you don't have a sun, it is rather dark shade. Hyacinth red is much more of what I like. If it would be possible I would consider the dark olive magno - the military shade (available on the G Class). I also really like mojave silver - elegant beige silver/champagne shade, before it was available on the A Class, now only on some other model, the G for example. G has amazing palette of colors for sure. The high-tech silver debuted on the new C-Class I believe - very nice one, would consider that one as well!
@@IvanSenseiYes, mine is "high-tech" silver. It has some tones of blue. I had Iridium sliver on my GLA, and that was also a nice silver, but I think the high-tech silver looks even better. The color fits very well on A35 and the contrast with black details (night package, black grill and roof) looks stunning. My absolut favourite Mercedes color is Alpine Grey. Seriously, when you see a CLE 53 AMG coupé in Alpine grey, you just become in love! Too shame that the color is not available for A35. In general, I wish we could have more color options. Regarding the red color... I usually love red color on sporty cars, but for some reason I don't really like A35 and A45 in red.

A very nice stretch of winding road to drive on. Only someone who loves to drive will appreciate the setting. Most drivers don't enjoy driving and avoid winding country roads.
Thank you. I really love this road - you don't need to go fast in order to enjoy the sporty drive with the corners, and it goes steep uphill and downhill too. Winding roads are the best!
My 2021 A35 Hatchback is currently undergoing maintenance at the factory. After 3.5 years of use, the engine light came on, and the cylinder head was leaking due to a cracked valve. Fortunately, Mercedes has an extended warranty policy for this issue in China. I absolutely love this car. However, I am still looking for other new cars, and it's really heartbreaking.
I know about this. That happened to some pre facelift cars 2019-2022. I believe after 2022 all new cars came from the factory with new components already. I would suggest you to check A35 facelift.
On the left side of the steering wheel there is a switch button for steering wheel heating 😎👍🏻 (German: Auf der linken Seite des Lenkrads befindet sich ein Schalter für die Lenkradheizung)

Thank you! Correct, EU with OPF, stationary revs are louder than pre FL, exhaust pops a lot, during the drive pops, crackles are less loud than pre FL. FL does have two OPFs instead of one OPF in pre FL
But it look like a 4 door Honda ciivic hatch back. The original Honda civic hatch back was a two door . There were all on the road every where in the 90’s
Yes for sure. I had "advanced" system before in my A220 and you can hear the difference, but you need to play with the Burmester settings in the menu. I plan to do video about it. Also when I listen to the podcasts, voices seem more clear.
Some people actually complain, but to my ears it sounds pretty good, and I'm listening to Burmester in C, E and buch of other more expensive models, sure in those the sound is even better, but in the A Class, the sound is pretty solid!
It works similar like in the A45S, the gearbox is faster when you drive sporty, but also less jerky, more smooth during normal driving, and 8th gear on the highway lowers rpm and therefore lowers consumption as well. Brilliant gearbox this 8G DCT
What are these like currently have a 2018 bmw m140i stage 2 with downpipe and high pressure fuel pump with xhp3 gearbox map (500bhp) looking for new hatchback after 5 years ownership
Sunroof is cool when you drive in the city and you can open it during morning or evening, it feels as close as possible to the cabriolet.. and you get fresh air, but it doesn't blow on you like when you have front windows down.. also when it is not sunny, the interior looks more bright. I'm happy with it. The car is made in Hungary, Kecskemet near Budapest. The CLA also there, A Class sedan and GLA are made in Rastatt, Germany.
I wouldn't get it without it. Makes the car so much brighter and amazing in the summer. Had the 2019 version and tempted to go back following this video

@IvanSensei the engine itself is great but being in Europe the sound is so muted it's frustrating. I preferred my a35 with its interior and tech so tempted to go back albeit I don't even drive that much!
@reecea5432 Yeah that's true. Funny enough, new A35 facelift is more noisy when you rev it stationary you get pretty loud pops, during drive the pops are more muted due new regulations, there is bigger OPF filter. But the new tech, 8G DCT, mild hybrid are really good. Especially the 8G DCT less jerky and more smooth during normal drive, yet faster shifts.. I prefer interior on the A35 as well
Hello Ivan ! 😊 I’m the owner of an A35 sedan version, and I’m very impressed with this car both as a daily driver and for long road trips. Over a distance of 5,300 km, I achieved an average fuel consumption of 6.8L/100 km, driving mostly at 120-135 km/h on cruise control. I also drove 400 km through the mountains in Switzerland and reached speeds of over 220 km/h a few times on German highways. The car is very comfortable, and the 420L boot space is excellent! I’ve driven both the pre-facelift and facelift versions of the A35, as well as the A45. In my personal opinion, the A35-with its extra power from the electric engine-provides better acceleration and more power at lower revs, which gives it a sporty feel similar to the A45. Honestly? The A45 sounds better inside the cabin, but outside, it’s much worse than the A35. Its fuel consumption is also much higher, and the suspension is really stiff. On rough roads or long distances, it makes you feel more fatigued. Sure, the A45 has more power, but personally, I wouldn’t trade my A35 for an A45. Additionally, my A35 is the 2023 facelift version, and it sounds amazing during the "emotion start." with pops and bangs! Of course, with every passing year, more and more restrictive regulations seem to ruin that kind of fun! Cons: The build quality could be better. Over time, the side pillars start to creak a little, especially when driving over uneven surfaces. Also, the 18-inch tires are quite noisy (unless the seals are just that weak). Also it could sounds better during upshift (more racy).
Depends what do you compare it to, performance tires are usually more noisy as well. C-Class MB version will be more quiet than A35 for example if silent ride is your main need
For the best comfort choose standard sport seats and not Performance seats. Then choose 18" wheels, they are better for comfort than 19". Last option is AMG RIDE CONTROL the adjustable suspension, which makes the ride as smooth as possible. I did all of that and I have the most possible comfort level which you can achieve in the A35 FL.
Your thoughts and opinions about A35 AMG? More videos with A35 will come over the next few months - stay tuned! Thank you so much for your support!
