    Hey Radu! How much tax did you pay on customs besides the original price? Is it comparable to Radius 4v on sound? thanks mate

    Hey Radu,
    I have Stanton’s ST150 which are made like a Technics. Can these work on my Stanton’s?

    did you have any issues connecting it to the LP120s? I can’t connect mine to my Mastersounds Radius 2 because the ground is carried via the RCAs and that mixer requires a separate ground lead in order to illuminate hum. It worked on my cheap behringer though

    Does someone know what is the Option "Linear PSU"? Difference with and without?
    Thanks for your answers

    • @pseudobear666
      @pseudobear666 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ist no magic, it is 100% what it says… with or without linear powerunit. for Questions About linear power and how it is important for Sound Quality just use Google and dig to it.

    • @alexg8957
      @alexg8957 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The linear PSU (power supply unit) is an upgrade to the standard power supply that comes with all mixers. The linear PSU is heavier at 0.9kg and has a 100-240v mains selector switch. It offers cleaner voltage and improves the mixer’s sonic performance. Although it tests to have a better noise floor level, the standard PSU is also very good (-85dB at unity) and the audible difference sits outside the normal human hearing spectrum. We offer the linear PSU as an option more for HI-FI set ups and to give audiophiles the confidence they are doing the best they can with their sound. Copied from their website.

    How do you know on a rotary mixer like this, while you are CUEing the next track, the level that you are going to end applying to it? you mention that you use 7 as your average but while you are CUEing how do you estimate "oh this track is going to need 8.5 (or whatever) to match my current track" is that something that you just do on the fly as you bring up the levels? or do you infere that depending on how much volume you had o apply on the headphones?

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      It's a bit both. You can judge this by the position of the cue knob, if it makes you move it more towards the next track then probably the level of the next one is lower.
      Then you can also feel it once you bring in the new track and you fade out the current track.
      It's another type of mixing, less eyes, more ears.

    does the stereo vu meter moves on your lucia. because mine don't

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      so the VU meters work here, make sure you're using master and not booth, if your speakers are on booth, the VU meters will not indicate anything.

    Hey bro ! your reviews are fantastic, quick question , what do you think is better, the Lucia from Condesa or the Rane MP2015?
    thank you x

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      David Conde thanks bro! unfortunately I'm completely unable to answer that question as I've never used a RANE MP2015. But I know RANE is digital built with ICs, Condesa is also analog and the mixer itself has a discrete design, I'm pretty sure Condesa sounds much better than RANE, but hey, that RANE has a lot of features on it that you might or might not use, depends on which type of DJ you are.

    Hi, Radu! Thanks for the video! :) Could you be compared it to a E&S DJR400?

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the isolator is a bit smoother than the one you find on an E&S. that being said it doesn't mean the one on the E&S is worse, it's a mater of taste, depends if you prefer a more aggresive isolator or not. Soundwise I think the Condesa sounds better.

    How is the Knob Resistance slow ,Fast,

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hard to say as it's down to personal preference, so what's slow/fast to me might not be to you. however what I can say is that not all the knobs use the same pots. the isolator + channels + master knobs are Alps Alpine RK27 (a bit slower/tighter) and all the other ones are a different brand (faster).

    hi! how are you!? I’m interested in a Condesa mixer ; how the mixer is shipped from Australia ? When it arrives, does it get taxed by USA customs ? If so, what is the percentage of the tax ?

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man, you can contact them here and ask them these questions condesaelectronics.com/behind-the-designs/.
      Customs tax depends on the country you're living in and they might not be able to answer that, but regarding all the other questions they should have responses for you.
      Cheers.

    hi, how does the cue knob work exactly? when you have it 12 o' clock can you hear both channels then at the same time?

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      exactly, that's correct, at 12 o'clock you hear both channels at the same time, once you start turning it towards 8-10 o'clock you hear only channel one and towards 2-4 channel two.

    Hi, can you link your laptop to it?
    If so I will be ordering one!

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can connect a line source which can be your laptop, yes, however I'm not sure exactly what you mean with "link your laptop to it". What's the setup you wanna use?

    • @darrendeep6159
      @darrendeep6159 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will be using CDJ's. But I want to record from my laptop (plus I do a internet radio) so I just needed to know if you can do that.
      And I noticed that their is no air vents, dose the mixer gets warm? Just to let you know I've orderd the Carmen EQ/ISO

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mixer does have a REC output which will give you the master signal at a line level, so you can plug that into your laptop and record/broadcast to your radio server (I'm actually doing that, too).
      Indeed it doesn't have air vents, it gets a bit warm but nothing to worry about, I have done all night long nights with it and it was turned on for 6+ hours, nothing happened.
      Have fun with your Carmen!

    Will this unit take an input from a digital source like a cdj or an rca cable from a computer ?

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      it does have a phono and a line input for each channel, so yes, it does work with cdj/computer input signal.

    • @johnpuga1982
      @johnpuga1982 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I've hooked up my CDJ-2000s to it.

    interesting video, I have a question about your turntables... why the lp120? you're obviously a competent dj, so why don't you have super OEM turntables or even Technics?
    I ask as I have the lp120s, as they were such good value! I'm happy with them but they're no where near as good as more expensive models ( in my opinion).
    Cheers

    • @raduc0m
      @raduc0m  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!
      Well, a couple of years back when I switched from belt to direct drive, the SL-1200 model had been already discontinued. I made the wrong decision to stick to a new pair of turntables (these AT LP120) instead of buying an SH one which in this case would have been the SL-1200s. I was somehow afraid that if they break (which barely happens with SL-1200s) I wouldn't find spare parts (which again doesn't happen). It was definitely the wrong decision but I'm thinking of buying a new pair of SL-1200GR.
      Cheers.

      I have a Condesa Carmen. I switched from MP3s to AIFF files. I also upgraded my RCAs/Interconnectors to Wire World Solstice 7. I could hear a tremendous difference in sound quality afterwards. Before the changes MP3s sound weak to me.
