This feels like a love letter to the CW tv superhero shows. The CW shows were and still are vastly important to a lot of people, it’s so refreshing to see an idea like this be used to showcase the best of their storytelling rather than their shortcomings. A CW Spider-Man is something I’ve thought of for years and you absolutely crushed it. Beautiful stuff as always Lewis

I thought that it was pretty good I really liked how Flash, Peter and Mj formed a new trio and all became close friends. the only thing that I would change having Black Cat and Gwen would still be alive like in the Ultimate Universe. other then that 7/10

Nah I was THOROUGHLY invested in this whole spiel. This pitch does what the MCU failed to do with Spider-Man in my opinion, bring the classic Spider-Man story to life with some minor differences. I for one would really enjoy that Season 6+ video. Excellent job!👍🏾 🕸️

If CW made a show like this, they would introduce Miles in season 1 and make him a Spider-Man in season 2. Probably introduce Venom and Agent Venom before season 3.

Wow! This actually sounds good! If they actually make this while reigning in some of the more CW-y elements like "We are the Flash", it could actually become a really interesting show on par with Spectacular Spiderman!
The CW (used to be) good at drama and has decent visual effects. Watching CW shows always had an element of fun and comradeirie, which I think lends itself well to Spiderman
loved this video I truly believe if Spider Man was a CW show in the early 2000’s with a good director and writers, it would have probably been up there with Smallville. And I always imagined that we start with Peter as a 15 so that would be sophomore year, we have a the core four MJ, Harry and Gwen, and we would see Flash’s character development from a bully to a ally of Peter.
Also Peter would have his first suit before the actual spider man suit we all know of, and we can see the relationship between Ben and Peter all of Season 1 before he eventually dies. And then around season 2 is when Peter is a Junior In high school and understands the iconic quote and become our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man but that’s just what I always imagined, oh and the show would have 10 seasons and 20-24 episodes because I miss when he had show’s like that

My Spider-Man Show
Season 1
Peter Parker is starting College. He meets Gwen Stacy and they spend time together because they’re working on a science project. Peter has to bail on Gwen though because he’s Spider-Man. Peter moves out of Aunt Mays house and gets his own apartment but he loses it since he can’t keep a job. Peter moves in with Harry to a nice apartment because Norman’s helping pay for it. Harry is neglected because of Norman’s job however. Peter goes to a party with Harry and he sees people getting high drinking and doing other things that TH-cam probably won’t let me write. Something in the vain of Euphoria but with College instead of High School. Peter eventually leaves the party and Harry starts talking to some junkies which is set up for later down the line. Spider-Man investigates a new drug empire that has snaked itself throughout the city. He interrogates Quintin Beck outside the Bar With No Name and finds out that there is a deal at a dock later that night. Peter gets a call from Gwen saying they should work on the project. Peter and Gwen bond while at a coffee shop becoming close. Peter asks about Gwen’s family life but Gwen remains closed off. Peter doesn’t tell Gwen about what happened to Uncle Ben. Not even Harry knows. Peter says he has to leave because of the deal and Gwen becomes suspicious. Spider-Man goes to the deal webbing his camera up in the hopes of getting his job at the Daily Bugle back. Spider-Man stops the thugs from doing the deal but he is attacked by Hydro Man. A battle ensues and Spider-Man is eventually able to defeat him. He doesn’t know anything about the boss though. Spider-Man goes back to the docks but finds all the thugs dead. Peter goes home to find Harry’s out. Peter goes in the shower and washes because he fell in the Hudson. We get a montage of Peter delivering pizzas the next day along with cleaning the university. Peter goes to Aunt May and says that he’s sorry for moving out. Aunt May tells Peter that she’s endured the death of her husband and it’s only made her stronger. Aunt May acknowledges that Peter isn’t processing Uncle Bens death and is using humour to cover it up. She tells Peter that he’ll never be alone. They hug and Peter almost cries. Spider-Man continues to chase leads on the crime boss. He eventually learns through hacking a computer that the man lives in a High Rise in Harlem. Gwen continues trying to call Peter but to no avail. She goes over to his apartment and finds a mask with destroyed lenses realising he’s Spider-Man. She hides the mask so Harry doesn’t find it and leaves. Spider-Man confronts the crime boss Tombstone and fights him. Spider-Man is badly beaten by Tombstone underestimating his power because he doesn’t seem super powered. Spider-Man escapes. Gwen meets up with Peter on top of the university. Gwen reveals that she knows Peters Spider-Man. Peter says that his Uncle died and he wants to do right by him. Gwen reveals to Peter that her father who was a police officer died and she has been struggling without any parents or family members since her mother died of cancer when she was young. Peter apologises for keeping secrets and tells her that she’ll always have him. The two kiss and look at the stars. Peter later informs Gwen about Tombstone and together they build a case on him. Peter forms a working relationship with Jean De Wolff a police officer that he trusts. Spider-Man eventually goes to the penthouse and we get a fight scene of Spider-Man going up the stairs fighting thugs. Spider-Man gets to the top and manages to beat Tombstone using his love for Gwen as motivation. He stuns Tombstone and uses an anti drug on Tombstone that reverses his powers similar to the insomniac game. Spider-Man brings Tombstone out and Jean De Wolff arrests him. Peter goes back to Aunt Mays and tells her about Gwen. Aunt May says that she’s seeing someone as well. A man named Nathan Lubensky. Peter says that he’s happy for her. Peter and Gwen go on a date to Coney Island and have a good time. They kiss and watch the fireworks. Harry goes back to his apartment and finds a note saying Peter will be gone for a while. Harry opens up a cabinet and takes out some drugs he got from the junkies he was talking to from the party.

Lewis, remember when you said that the reason why Gwen Stacy doesn’t work as a character anymore is because of her death? Every time you kill her off in one of your fanfictions, you contradict yourself by going against what you said in that video. You want to make Gwen more of a character, the solution is easier than you think it is. Not killing her off is the solution.

@@LewisFanFiction Literally nothing is wrong with keeping Gwen alive, and I don’t know why people can’t see this. Fun fact: Stan Lee’s original idea was for Green Goblin to kill Aunt May and have Peter and Gwen eventually grow up and get married and have a child or two together. But then Stan went on vacation and… you know the rest.

@@averyhodges3579 The one issue with keeping Gwen alive is that it mitigates the characters main purpose. If she doesn’t die, she isn’t really “Gwen Stacy” anymore. However, this is what makes Spider-Gwen so great, because it gives you a different avenue of Gwen.
Furthermore, this is why I believe introducing Gwen anyway is so redundant. Because if you introduce her, everyone already knows her fate.
This is actually pretty good! Definitely better than Riverdale... which also had superpowers and crimefighting! Of course it's not a CW show unless there's a love triangle. Still might need a secret family member and a previous character coming back from the dead! I feel bad for Harry, all his family died and he went crazy from drugs!

I’m gonna be completely honest I would definitely watch the show. It looks really interesting. | but for later seasons I think I would want to introduce not only Miles Morales, but maybe the spider clones like Ben Rielly.

really good i just wish this happened in university cause high school drama like this is so unrealitic it would be really goof. the original comics had the drama when they were in uni. high school was small stuff like liz vs betty nothing major
I’ve had an idea for something like this for a while now, but instead of starting with an early Peter who is just becoming Spider-Man. It starts with him already a good few years into his crime fighting career. We’ve never actually gotten a seasoned Spidey on screen before (barring the spiderverse iterations), and I think it’d be an interesting avenue to explore.
That would be fun!
also i pefer peter and mj maintain chastity because them sleeping together before marriage was never a dynamic the original comics preferred. outside of wedlock it was never implied. so I think they should instead do an iconic kiss like the one where pete and robbie go on the plane. you could even do a k drama style and have the kiss be hinted at from episode 1 so the buildup is crazy like they lean in but are interrupted many times
Cool concept, but if Gotham Knights was anything to go by, I’d only watch if Lewis himself oversaw everything.

Lewis can you make a video about a Spider-Man: Evolution Series? like its like and takes place in the same universe as X-Men: Evolution and I mean he never appears on the show and the only heroes that are confirmed to exist in that universe that arent x-men related is Captain America and Nick Fury (there is a Dailey Bugle reference/mention in the crhistmas episode). it'll be like X-Men Evolution a brand new fresh take on Spider-Man and his characters and you could include any character even original ones since X-Men Evolution also had original characters that eventually made their away into the comics. or you know a video about your pitch for a Spider-Man Animated Series that takes place in the same continuity as Avengers EMH. just whatever you do please Include The Human Torch, Iceman and Kitty as Peter's Best friends.

Giancarlo Esposito _can_ pull off the Norman Osborn type of villain (🦹♂️). 👍 And I like the idea of Eddie Brock being a successful scientist (👨🔬) and the head of his own company (👍). Harry Osborn becoming the Hobgoblin we’ve seen before, but I like how _you_ portrayed him becoming Hobgoblin here and _him_ killing Gwen Stacy.

So you pick the guy from Breaking Bad as Norman Osborn well I saw that movie Abigail where I could see him more as Tombstone, so who have we got casted here?
One thing id change is because its cw season 1 episode 9 is when they show him fighting the big bad of the season and lose and the rest of the season us him training to be ready. Based on arrkw and flash thats how they did it in the first season also there has to be a villain of the week type formula as well as in season 3 miles should be introduced in season 1 or 2 so that by season 3 they become superheroes as well. 🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏 people say they’re tired of a teenage Spider-Man but I think it’s good for your idea in the cw because the cw seemed to be against teenage superheroes. With the only exceptions being Lighting and Stargirl because they were supervised and bossed around by adults. Everyone else who were based on a teenage hero were already adults when they first appeared and treated like an equal

I loved the concept but I doubt it would've gone this way had it truly happened, for one big reason; The CW hated teen heroes. Teen sidekicks like Roy harper and Wally West were aged up to young adults, and while it started with NBC rather than CW Supergirl (whose title character normally becomes a hero in her teens, which is the whole reason she is called Super _Girl_) is presented as a grown adult.
Odds are, if CW had worked with Marvel not DC and had been allowed to do a Spider Man show it would have followed Peter in his 20s, the question is, would they have done the smart thing do what Insomniac did, by joing a well established Peter, or would they have tried to present Peter's origin at that age.

Hey Lewis i actually really like this idea and when I got an idea of pitching my own show for spiderman your plan in the start goes same as mine exepct that doc ock is the villain for the first season and green goblin for second season and Peter would fight prowler in the third season so as introducing Miles and by the end of the show Miles would become spiderman as well. If you need any ideas you can try introducing jackall and what I forgot is that in my pitch Edie has olso got cancer but he has no symbiote but he has a little bit still in his blood so carnege once goes after eddie and Martin Lee touches him with his healing power so Edie becomes Anti Venom and fights Carnage and wins

Spider-Man as a television show would’ve been probably one of the greatest things ever. Because one of my favorite dynamics is Norman and Peter throughout the years. Although a CW show does sound like a nightmare because the writing is horrible.
