The reason Avengers worked so well was the fact that we did get all of those solo movies to set up their story arcs. If we don't do that, it's more likely the MCUs first team up movie would probably perform more like the Justice League.
I don't like the dceu before I say this; I believe if they stick the landing better, the offshoot solo films would have succeeded so much better. But that method is much more of a studio move, rather than the long game

Nothing against the story by this guy, I actually believe he’s 100% right, stories would’ve been rushed, character development would’ve been strange, arbitrary deaths, a misuse of character, it all sounds exactly like what marvel would’ve done with Spider-Man, Avengers X-Men and Fantastic Four if they had them all, great work 100% accurate
It doesnt seem to have any of the humor the MCU is known for tho. Thats not something one should expect to remove, when the only difference is supposed to be the ips Marvel Studios had available from the get go, not a change of directors... In which case this seems more Snyder than somethinh from Whedon or Favreau.
SAME due to the lack of these "big heroes" Marvel took risk after risk with Thor, Ironman, Antman, Guardians, Black panther, Black widow, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange and it paid off!, thanks to that many of them are now A or even S tier heroes, they crafted carefully a world that feels organic and interesting with magic, sci-fi, espionage or cosmic settings well put together On the other hand Marvel could easily become like DC, being too big to fail make them comfy, batman is always the way to go, (and sometimes superman/flash) is not even dumb, is the logical step but due to that, the general audience doesn't know or care about characters like booster gold, martian manhunter, dr fate, blue beetle, green arrow or hawkgirl, cause they are "too little to be important" that feels bad. Batman alone carries magic, espionage and noir, while Superman takes the sci-fi/space stories
If the MCU did have all of the characters form the beginning, marvel would be oversaturated with Spider-Man, wolverine, X-men, fantastic four and Deadpool. James Gunn would’ve never get his chance of doing his guardians of the Galaxy movies because it would be to risking.
That’s scary because if he didn’t get Guardians of the Galaxy when he did, he might not have gotten to do The Suicide Squad, and he may not get to be the head of DC now.

But The Suicide Squad (The one James Gunn made) was almost unanimously loved by those who have watched it. And he made Starro the Conqueror the villain of the movie which you gotta love when underutilized villains get their due! Also it introduced John Cena’s take on Peacemaker which is loved so much they changed the comics to fit that personality.

Ironically, from the looks of things, it seems like we're slowly inching into this scenario. Disney owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four, they just need to get along with Sony to use Spider-Man. By phase 7, the MCU will look like Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which is the best Marvel media to this day, imo.

@@doofusboy7054I think a healthy middle ground would be somewhere in between this and the current mcu, we haven't really had any heroes lose since infinity war other than spiderman losing his identity, I think the creators may have forgotten that tragedy is what makes a great story
Honestly feels like this version of the MCU is too dark. Too much emphasis on breaking down popular heroes from the get go, rather than building up any of the marvelous wonder they mostly are known for on tv. Almost feels like this is what the MCU would have been like if made by Snyder, rather than what if Marvel Studios had their flagship titles from the beginning.
for sure, and once James Gunns DCU gets off the ground, people will be really receptive to that universe so Disney will be even more motivated to make it bright and iconic going forward
If they had all their characters from the beginning, they would have blown their wad right away, like how the DCEU had Batman fighting Superman in their second movie. The first movie would have been Spider-Man, the second Wolverine and the X-Men, the third Secret Wars.
I feel like on all these, "what if Marvel had all the rights" videos, everyone acts like Iron Man was obscure enough to not have his own movie, but I feel he was actually still pretty popular before the MCU and I believe he would still have a pretty fair chance of getting his own movie. Especially when you consider that he was supposed to get his own movie with Tom Cruise back in the 90s.
I felt like there was something wrong with this pitch, but I didn't know what it was until I figured out that it was too much of a downer. There are a lot of deaths of beloved characters, having two movies about a civil war, and overall leaving characters in a depressed state.
To be fair, I think marvel killing off characters would be pretty accurate. The reason we didn’t get any major deaths in the mcu is because of the limited characters they had access to. They couldn’t risk killing off anyone besides quicksilver (who died in the same film he was introduced). If mcu had access to all marvel hero’s they wouldn’t be as fearful to take a risk and kill off a big character because they have multiple others to replace the slot

So glad you're back. I'm into this what if the MCU had all it's characters in the beginning stuff. I couldn't really imagine a Marvel universe without Spider-Man, Fantastic 4, and the X-Men.
Here’s another idea which is a bit of a twist on this video. What if all the pre-2008 Marvel movies on other studios were made part of the MCU? Like how Feige originally intended for Raimi’s Spider-Man and Fox’s X-Men to be canon. I sometimes wonder how that would have worked and if that deleted Nick Fury scene was made canon. How would they affect movies like Iron Man 2, The Avengers? What would the other phases looked like when they started incorporating these characters? How would Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 have turned out when given the opportunity of playing with the wide world of the MCU, since he was never satisfied with the script in real life? How would have mutants and the Fantastic Four that we’ve gotten familiar with before, changed the course of the other phases? This would be a very interesting What If.
it needs THOR. this is cool and all, but part of what made the mcu so cool was the introduction of the cosmic stuff earlier on. all of the best moments came from seeing how characters from completely different sides of the universe, literally, interacted with each other and how they would team up to solve a common threat. it’s the marvel UNIVERSE, not the marvel earth.

To be fair with your phase has like half the amount the the mcu did so you could have other movies and tv shows to bring and flesh out more minor characters that wpuld be around in things like civil war like daredevil and the defenders, punisher and moon knight etc.
I actually like this. I do like the idea of having loose connections so you could start anywhere in phase 1. It's thre individuality that makes them unique and enjoyable and the cinematic universe is the bonus
If I was redoing the MCU with all the Marvel characters I would keep everything the same as Lewis but keep The Thing alive in the second Fantastic 4 movie. I would instead have Dr Doom find a way to reverse the effects of the cosmic rays and badly injure Ben. In the post credit scene news of what Dr Doom did would give Bruce Banner the idea of reversing the effects of the gamma rays as well as Bolivar Trask the idea of a mutant cure. X-Men 2 would be about the cure and play a small role in Avengers Civil War, with the mutants who chose to retire taking the cure and giving up their powers. I'd keep Phase 3 mostly the same but add the addition of Professor Hulk to the Fantastic 4 and bring back The Thing for Avengers: Disassembled. The explanation for Professor Hulk's existence being explained in the third Fantastic 4 movie (Bruce experimented with gamma rays and the mutant cure caused him to merge with the Hulk), and an explanation on how Ben got hid powers back in Avengers Disassembled (Ben mixing the mutant cure with previous DNA samples as The Thing and a little bit of Jean Grey's Phoenix blood because it was cosmic).

This was a really great video! You should do a part 2 that would go into the next saga leading off of this. And I would change one thing, I would probably either switch where Captain America’s movie and Hulk’s movies are, because I think Hulk was more popular than him before the MCU. But honestly I love what you did with civil war (other than I would maybe put it later), so I would want both cap movies before it, so maybe you could just add in another hulk movie that would come out before avengers, again because he’s so popular. MCU phase 1. Perfect world, best way to handle this is with restraint. Only mix in Fantastic 4 with Avengers during Infinity War (Silver Surfer taking Adam Warlock’s role from the comics and have Fantastic 4 be closer connected with him), you can have them team up with Strange and Ironman for a true planet hulk movie before that. Civil War could affect the following X-Men movie, and seperate Spiderman’s role in it into its’ own film (so that it feels expansive like it did in the comics). Infinity War might not be the best storyline to combine everyone together into (considering how much screen time Thanos needs) so maybe House of M would be better? Or Secret Wars? Let Infinity War be an Avengers movie with one or two X-Men and Fantastic 4

Marvel is one hell of a big franchise. Instead of using them as 1 connected universe, how 'bout separating them from one another, then create 1 big crossover. Separate them with the stories of the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic 4, Midnight Sons, etc. to cover the physical, magical, scientific and dark side of the Marvel Universe, and insert Thanos/Kang/God Emperor Doom as big bad to connected them all.
I think the best love interests pathway for Peter Parker is to start with Gwen Stacey being his first love, then either kill her off or have them split. Then tease MJ but nothing too serious early on. Then somewhere in between introduce Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) and have them have a fling for a while as they have good chemistry. Ultimately they wouldn’t last and then finally go back to MJ who is his true love and have them marry in the future.
I had the idea that if Fox let Marvel use the Fantastic Four like Sony let them use Spider-Man, then Infinity War could have Sue tell Reed that she's pregnant and Reed is overjoyed. When Thanos snaps his fingers; Ben, Johnny, and Sue are turned to dust, with Reed being the only FF member left alive. Endgame would see him in a deep depression. More lonely and suicidal than Thor's mental and physical decline. He'd have grown a beard that he's sometimes shown with in the comics instead of his traditional clean-shaven look. He would be in Cap's group therapy session where we see how losing his family absolutely ruined him. He helps Tony figure out time travel (which would use the help of Wakandan Vibranium tech, leftover Pym Particles with Hank and Janet's shrink tech, Chitauri Energy Cores, and the imrpved Arc Reactor technology from Iron Man 2). He gets emotional seeing Tony's happy life with Pepper and Morgan and cries to himself after seeing what he almost had. Reed and Sue have a triumphant reunion in the final battle, similar to Hank finding Janet in the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Except this time it's more one-sided, as time seemingly never passed at all for Sue and she would comment on his new beard with confusion and he would just be so thankful to have her back. In the epilogue, we'd see the Four in a hospital room with a clean-shaven Reed holding his newborn son, Franklin, in his arms with tears of joy in his eyes. After so much pain in the past 5-6 years, he finally came out the other side a truly happy man.
I was thinking about this these days remembering the early MCU days and actually... this could've happened, albeit not how we imagine. In 2007, Sony (Spider-Man), Fox (X-Men), Universal (Hulk) and New Line (Blade) had finished all their plans for their current Marvel movies, where Universal ended up accepting to include MCU elements in 'Incredible Hulk', even if they weren't really gonna do another movie. What if the other studios thought "wow, 'Iron Man' made a LOT of money, maybe we could also get in on this" and all of them worked together? In 2009, there could've been a Wolverine AND a Captain America movies, tying Magneto as Red Skull's secret weapon instead of the Tesseract. In 2012, there were the first new Spider-Man movie and the Avengers, so they could've linked both without crossing over. In 2015, there were the first new Fantastic Four and the Avengers sequel, so they could've drawn a connection between the teams with a shared villain like Molecular Man. I think it would've been crazy because it's the ultimate fan's dream to see the entire Marvel universe together on screen. Yeah, we would have problems along the way like we already do and we wouldn't get movies on less known characters like Guardians of the Galaxy or even Ant-Man until maybe Phase 3 or 4, but it is what it is. The real loss would be movies like 'Logan' because that would be way too much of a "what if..." story in a big shared universe. Of course, this is all considering Marvel would be producing so they would have to change the movies if they ended up like 'Fant4stic' or 'TASM2'.
I would've liked it more if they had more fun stories like the MCU in the first few phases, to sort of create a great bond between the superheroes first like the MCU did, before bombarding them with all these dark storylines like character deaths, civil war, killing x-men etc.
if you look on the bright side(which people never do anymore), it could help seen as a good thing that the MCU didnt have the rights to all these characters. It allowed them to focus more in the Avengers and aim an entire Saga for them having the best buildup and finale ever. They probably wouldn’t have been able to do all that as well if they had three teams to focus on🤷🏿♂️

In your version X-men and Avengers feel so... far to eachother. I think it doesn't work as it should. There has to be a principal team to follow the MCU story. If you put 2 at the same time (X-Men and Avengers) it will be confusing and people won't know which one is the PRINCIPAL.
I remember back when The Avengers came out I asked my teacher why wasn’t Spider Man in it he is Marvel and TASM came out that year too and my teacher had to explain to 14 year old me about Sony Marvel and MCU Marvel and how Spider Man’s film rights are owned by Sony and not Disney
Really like this :D My only objection would be introducing major Avengers members in other people's films during Phase 1, the reason the MCU Phase 1 worked so well was that it was so focused on setting up the Avengers, giving the four core members their own films with very little detours in each (minor characters like War Machine and Bucky being introduced but always being relevant to the story, not necessarily sign posting what was to come). Yes the MCU was later able to bring major characters in during other people's films (Black Widow and Spidey) but only after it had earned our trust. With that in mind, my pitch for Phase 1 would be; 1) Spidey 2) Hulk (Small Tony Stark cameo similar to Hawkeye in Thor) 3) Spidey 2 (Introduces Ant-Man and Wasp as supporting players) 4) Captain America 5) The Avengers (Spidey, Hulk, Ant-Man, Wasp, Cap and Iron-Man 6) Fantastic Four Then Phase 2 would focus on introducing the X-Men, giving a few sequels, and bringing it all together for Civil War (really like Civil War as a 2 part film by the way). Like you said, I'm glad circumstances forced the MCU to work out like it did, in hindsight there's really nothing I'd change about Phases 1 - 3 (except for maybe Black Widow and Hawkeye films), but it doesn't hurt to fantasise :D
Hopefully we get a soft reboot where they take all the movie timelines and slam them together like in battle world, ending with a new timeline mixing everything together, X-men, fantastic 4, avengers, and all other projects
Nice video, but i think there are a couple of things I would change about it. This would be my pitch for Phase 1 Iron Man (2008) same movie Uncanny X-Men (2008) This would feature a younger version of the X-Men (around college age) the lineup would be Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Ice Man. With Cyclops being our lens into the world of mutants. The villain will be Magneto. The Incredible Hulk (2009) same film Ant-Man (2009) This would be Edgar Wright’s version of the film and would feature Hank Pym as the protagonist. Janet won’t be getting the Wasp suit until the post credit scene Thor (2010) same film The Avengers (2010) this movie will be roughly the same besides for some changes. The lineup will be Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Wasp. Instead of Thanos, the post credit scene will feature some S.H.E.I.L.D agents exploring a phenomenon they located in the arctic. One of them discovers a weird formation lodged deep in the ice. It looks to be a red and blue spangled disc with a star shape in the center, the scene would cut to black.
I definitely would have done this way differently. I would have started with Hawkeye and black widow solo film, Captain America where he fights red skull and Baron Zemo. Iron man film similar to what we got just introducing the mandarin at the end. The a daredevil and punisher film where kingpin is the main villain. A blade film introducing Morbius. A spiderman origin where he faces shocker, vulture and mysterio, Introducing Norman Osborn by the end. Fantastic 4 film where the team is already established and dr doom is the main villain. X men movie similar to what we got where magneto is the villain. Thor movie where he is introduced to Hercules and and they have to battle ares god of war. Finally to round out phase 1 hulk film where he battles abomination. Second phase an avengers film where the main villain is Loki and this brings together everyone we saw in the original avengers film but with dare devil, spiderman and fantastic four helping. Afterwards another fantastic four film as a two parter introducing silver surfer and galactus. Iron man 2 film where Justin hammer and Whiplash are still the villains however hammer creates his super adaptoid. He needs thor and caps help to beat it. In doing this he sees Thor’s potential and creates the Thor buster just in case he needs it for the future. In Spiderman 2 we see Peter go to college and meets Gwen Stacy. His villains are the lizard and sandman. Daredevil 2 where he meets Electra, His villain is bullseye. Blade 2 he goes up against Dracula. He meets Black knight and by the end of the movie ghost rider is introduced. Ghost rider Vengence ghost rider teams up with Punisher helping punisher deal with the death of his family and the people that caused it. Thor 2 he meets enchantress and Scurge. The main villain is absorbing man. Captain America 2 where the main villain is crossbones and the serpent society which he gets help from spiderman. To end phase 2 Avengers 2 birth of Ultron. Tony meets Hank Pym and they create ultron. All the heroes have to battle him and his ultron bots. By the end they introduce falcon and moonknight
I like the idea of spiderman, and xmen being in their own universes. If there's a problem spiderman is alone to solve. And xmen vs humans makes more sense when there isn't thousands of other heroes running around
I'm glad they didn't have them right off the bat. We got popular comic characters brought to be household names. Iron Man, Thor, and Cap were popular within the comics crowd, but other than that not really much. If they had all their most popular ones immediately it would've gotten old fast since these characters are so popular we already know their story.
You completely missed the Black Panther, he has direct ties to the FF , Captain America, and to Wolverine. Adamantium was made from experiments with Vibranium, as was shield. There's no way of anyone getting Vibranium without some interaction, from Klaw at the very least.
I really think civil war should be an entire phase. I’ve always thought that would be better. Instead of trying to push it into two films. You could show the effects of the accords in the individual films. And both avengers films could be the beginning and end. And just like event comics you don’t have to watch the individual films in this phase. You will get the primary story in those two films. But will also get more context if you watch everything.
It could very much be like how they explain stuff in infinty war for viewers that didn’t watch everything. Just quick one to two sentences that catches viewers up without haunting everything.
I would actually have two villains in the for the main story in the Spider-Man story, the burglar who killed uncle Ben at the very beginning and then vulture through the main story
I like to think the actual phase one would be more close to Captain America The Wolverine Fantastic Four Iron Man The Hulk Spider-Man The X-Men Thor Ant-Man The Avengers Hulk vs. Wolverine Which would pan over 5 years just like the OG phase 1
This cinematic universe never would have gotten past the second movie. Part of the mcu equation was the fact that when iron man came out, marvel was desperate for a win. That desperation helped them create a cinematic universe with iron man
The reason why the mcu work so well in the beginning was because we had a tight narrative wrapped around six heroes and side characters.. there was constant story building from one movie to the next but now it's just way too much to have a continuous storyline the way it was before.. we're waiting years now to find out what happens next and with the movies that are coming out it's just not worth it anymore.. we haven't seen shang chi once since his movie lol this is what's wrong with marvel
I mean other then the spiderverse movies it does feel like sony are begging to have Disney to get it's movie rights with the likes of madame web and morbius existing. the amazing spidermen even though it had a few good actors there was some strange writing that would have still carried over if they made a 3rd

The only thing I disagree with is the lack of Doctor Strange. I imagine Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver would be introduced in phase 4 as X-Men and temporary Avengers
You're forgetting marketing. Without the success of the mcu, but accesss to all their characters, they would have to start with something guaranteed to be a success like Spider-man, X-Men and Hulk. After a couple successes they could backtrack and do a prequel like Fantastic Four. Iron man was a gamble but they didn't have the rights to many big name characters, and so in a world where they had all their characters they wouldn't gamble on iron man or captain america right away. Afterall, logically, if you want a franchise you start with your best characters. And FF isn't that big compared to Spider-man. Basically, this whole universe would be different
The fantastic four are the reason marvel even exists, they introduced the concept of heroes being relatable to the average reader, thing literally had the exact same comic series as spider-man, where he teamed up with lesser known heroes
Well, I think starting with Cap is really the only was to go. Also having characters related to that era. I think the Howling Commandos, Wolverine would be introduced as well as the Human Torch. Then having the Wolverine Origin but with characters like Raven and stuff. I would then put up the X-men set up set in the late 80s where the X-men are much younger just like it was. It is important especially for X-Men Days of Future past storyline. Set up a Wolverine going through that period too, but not in the X-Men. Technically the comics are supposed to be in the 60s to late 90s but to have it “modern” it kind of hard for that. Set in the late 90s a Dr.Doom solo movie this is where we see how Doom become the ruler of Latveria and how Doom meets Reed and such, but he is not going to be the main villain of the Fantastic Four movie later, it will be the Mole Man. Then fast forward everything to 2005 and set up the Avengers origin, this is only the original members, not Captain America he goes later. After 2007 we set up characters like the defenders mainly Daredevil, Punisher and all of the b-list characters that we like. In 2007 introduces the Fantastic Four they are the first family, X-Men does need to be older given the comics because the characters need to be older later. Then in 2008 we have the Avengers film. Then we have some new characters introduced that should be in the timeline at this point between 2008-2010. This is where we have the second Avengers film which would have Captain America come back. During 2009 Spider-man’s origin would come out as a series instead of a movie, why because too many things happen in his origin, not only does he fight characters like Chameleon, who personally would just be one of the first Peter fights after Ben’s death. It is important that Peter needs to be aged for later story arcs. So a younger Peter actor as well as Gwen’s death and introduction of MJ. Of course all of this is when he is in college, but Peter’s life is very long to do these storylines. Also I had an idea that Goblin would not be the one to kill Gwen. I can explain why simply put it I think having Green Goblin being the reason for everything that happened to Peter during his 3 movies with introduction of Sinister Six, the show would have some of the members including Vulture and Electro. I also forgot to mention having the X-Men being in here in the timeline, there would have been a Wolverine and Hulk movie and Wolverine getting into the X-Men. So with the Spider-man show having Hobgoblin who is Miles Warren yes I know it is Ned Leeds in the comics. He then becomes obsessed of losing Gwen, now because we need to have Norman being the one to having Gwen dying is the fact that Miles tested a pre-goblin serum. This does make him insane, but Norman also took some and was exposed, Norman doesn’t know this. But becomes the Hobgoblin as well, not the Green Goblin is slowly becoming the dominant one this is where it develops after Gwen is captured by Miles as Hobgoblin, Norman Hobgoblin comes in and takes Gwen. Now since both Miles and Norman are not fully there, they don’t know what is going on so, after Gwen’s death Miles sees this as he returns to mind wearing the Hobgoblin suit. This makes him go insane thinking he killed Gwen. Peter then would find out that it is Miles who is the Hobgoblin after he reports himself to the police. He becomes the Jackal and will later have the clone saga. But this also makes Green Goblin still the one to do it, but to have it so later when he forms the Sinister Six to take down Spider-man it would break Peter a lot worse, that is wasn’t Miles who killed Gwen but Green Goblin. This is several years later once Peter is in college. So from 2010-2012 We have the second movies for the Avengers, the third Avengers film, the second Fantastic Four movie, the four X-men movie, and as well as other hero solo films like Iron Fist who comes back after many years. I am going to stop here but I will have a better timeline because this is long. I want to do as many storylines accurately and made better or just like the comics. A few changes are made so it just more impactful, like Hobogoblin, Green Goblin feels like he needs to be made more sparingly.
I like this! It’s more grounded and simple. Focuses on the classic characters that provide more of a foundation of the Marvel Universe. The only thing I will say is what we have learned from Fox is Dark Phoenix shouldn’t be 1 movie. I think instead of a Dark Phoenix movie bringing everyone back together, do something different with the X-Men. We have 4 movies back to back of the heroes losing, so instead of doing that with the X-Men, end X-Men 2 with the X-Men all being captured by someone like Sinister or Stryker. Then instead of Dark Phoenix have the third X-Men be The Uncanny X-Men with Logan in that lineup. We can get an adaptation Of Second Genesis/Giant Size X-Men #1!

Cap also doesnt die in battle in civil war comics, he dies post turning himself in after seeing how many people have been hurt or killed and then gets gunned down on his way to trial.

I do agree that this does feel a little off and rushed but I think these a way to connect all these stories while also being able to set up for a long term game plan. Phase 1 X-men Spider-Man Hulk Fantastic 4 Iron Man Hulk 2 Iron man 2 Thor Ant Man and Wasp Captain America The Avengers The following phases can go in many directions but new characters like the guardians, doctor strange, and black panther would be introduced while existing continue on with their journey. The avengers once again assemble to fight a big bad but in this universe stay together and will have characters like black panther and occasionally the X-men come in and help. This all leads to ultron and him winning thanos styles until they eventually defeat him. He’s able to at one point brainwash the hulk into attacking the avengers and after a rough battle and ultron finally being stopped they disassemble and leads directly to civil war. But before that Thor leaves earth to go on to ragnarok and tony forms a premature Illuminati kick hulk off world. Civil war happens with all characters. Right after this world war hulk occurs and heroes are out in worse light. After every heroes has gone through so much infinity war occurs when everyone is at their lowest and lose. It takes all left alive, a world war hulk, black panther whoever to lead to endgame
See for me I think if spiderman had a live action tv series for the street level stuff and for the major events turn them into movies like kinds hit it show certain villains like green goblin as Norman and show how he turns so when the movie comes he's already goblined out and ready to reek havoc but idk if I'm the only one that might things that's a good idea
there are two big villains in marvel that everyone loves who are also gigantic menaces and those are thanos and doom. by having the rights to everything i would personally just set up two big arcs with each one of those being the big baddy of each arc. then on each arc you can have progressive phases that introduces the heroes in solo movies at first, then puts them together for a bigger threats, until they reach the final boss, that being either thanos or doom. it's basically the same formula with what the mcu did up till the end of the thanos saga but i would just have introduced important characters and franchises like the x-men and the fantastic 4 sooner, skipped making movies for more minor characters and have only one movie for most characters to make room for the new ones. for the more minor and down to earth heroes i would use the tv series to tell their stories, they would be connected and affected with what is goin on in the universe but they wouldn't in turn affect it that much, so that the series wouldn't be required viewing to understand the movies. i would also 100% skip any time travel and alternate universe bs cuz that's a sure way to ruin a story. the mcu had a good thing and it worked perfectly, there is no need to change it, if they didn't get greedy and started making a million movies and shows per year that sucked and just repeated what they did with the thanos saga, the new one would have been great.

We wouldn’t have gotten No Way Home because the movie wasn’t about the characters in itself it was about the films and the actors. We didn’t go to No Way Home to see 3 Spidermen and the villains we came to see Tobey Andrew Tom Wilem Dafoe Alfred Molina Jaime Foxx the guy who played the lizard the guy who played sandman

The reason Avengers worked so well was the fact that we did get all of those solo movies to set up their story arcs. If we don't do that, it's more likely the MCUs first team up movie would probably perform more like the Justice League.

This video makes me appreciate the mcu’s lack of characters so much more. Nothing against the story by this guy, I actually believe he’s 100% right, stories would’ve been rushed, character development would’ve been strange, arbitrary deaths, a misuse of character, it all sounds exactly like what marvel would’ve done with Spider-Man, Avengers X-Men and Fantastic Four if they had them all, great work 100% accurate

SAME due to the lack of these "big heroes" Marvel took risk after risk with Thor, Ironman, Antman, Guardians, Black panther, Black widow, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange and it paid off!, thanks to that many of them are now A or even S tier heroes, they crafted carefully a world that feels organic and interesting with magic, sci-fi, espionage or cosmic settings well put together
On the other hand Marvel could easily become like DC, being too big to fail make them comfy, batman is always the way to go, (and sometimes superman/flash) is not even dumb, is the logical step but due to that, the general audience doesn't know or care about characters like booster gold, martian manhunter, dr fate, blue beetle, green arrow or hawkgirl, cause they are "too little to be important" that feels bad. Batman alone carries magic, espionage and noir, while Superman takes the sci-fi/space stories
If the MCU did have all of the characters form the beginning, marvel would be oversaturated with Spider-Man, wolverine, X-men, fantastic four and Deadpool. James Gunn would’ve never get his chance of doing his guardians of the Galaxy movies because it would be to risking.

That’s scary because if he didn’t get Guardians of the Galaxy when he did, he might not have gotten to do The Suicide Squad, and he may not get to be the head of DC now.

But The Suicide Squad (The one James Gunn made) was almost unanimously loved by those who have watched it. And he made Starro the Conqueror the villain of the movie which you gotta love when underutilized villains get their due! Also it introduced John Cena’s take on Peacemaker which is loved so much they changed the comics to fit that personality.

Ironically, from the looks of things, it seems like we're slowly inching into this scenario. Disney owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four, they just need to get along with Sony to use Spider-Man. By phase 7, the MCU will look like Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which is the best Marvel media to this day, imo.

Honestly feels like this version of the MCU is too dark. Too much emphasis on breaking down popular heroes from the get go, rather than building up any of the marvelous wonder they mostly are known for on tv.
Almost feels like this is what the MCU would have been like if made by Snyder, rather than what if Marvel Studios had their flagship titles from the beginning.
for sure, and once James Gunns DCU gets off the ground, people will be really receptive to that universe so Disney will be even more motivated to make it bright and iconic going forward

If they had all their characters from the beginning, they would have blown their wad right away, like how the DCEU had Batman fighting Superman in their second movie. The first movie would have been Spider-Man, the second Wolverine and the X-Men, the third Secret Wars.
I feel like on all these, "what if Marvel had all the rights" videos, everyone acts like Iron Man was obscure enough to not have his own movie, but I feel he was actually still pretty popular before the MCU and I believe he would still have a pretty fair chance of getting his own movie. Especially when you consider that he was supposed to get his own movie with Tom Cruise back in the 90s.
I felt like there was something wrong with this pitch, but I didn't know what it was until I figured out that it was too much of a downer. There are a lot of deaths of beloved characters, having two movies about a civil war, and overall leaving characters in a depressed state.

To be fair, I think marvel killing off characters would be pretty accurate. The reason we didn’t get any major deaths in the mcu is because of the limited characters they had access to. They couldn’t risk killing off anyone besides quicksilver (who died in the same film he was introduced). If mcu had access to all marvel hero’s they wouldn’t be as fearful to take a risk and kill off a big character because they have multiple others to replace the slot

So glad you're back. I'm into this what if the MCU had all it's characters in the beginning stuff. I couldn't really imagine a Marvel universe without Spider-Man, Fantastic 4, and the X-Men.
Here’s another idea which is a bit of a twist on this video. What if all the pre-2008 Marvel movies on other studios were made part of the MCU? Like how Feige originally intended for Raimi’s Spider-Man and Fox’s X-Men to be canon. I sometimes wonder how that would have worked and if that deleted Nick Fury scene was made canon. How would they affect movies like Iron Man 2, The Avengers? What would the other phases looked like when they started incorporating these characters? How would Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 have turned out when given the opportunity of playing with the wide world of the MCU, since he was never satisfied with the script in real life? How would have mutants and the Fantastic Four that we’ve gotten familiar with before, changed the course of the other phases? This would be a very interesting What If.

it needs THOR. this is cool and all, but part of what made the mcu so cool was the introduction of the cosmic stuff earlier on. all of the best moments came from seeing how characters from completely different sides of the universe, literally, interacted with each other and how they would team up to solve a common threat. it’s the marvel UNIVERSE, not the marvel earth.

To be fair with your phase has like half the amount the the mcu did so you could have other movies and tv shows to bring and flesh out more minor characters that wpuld be around in things like civil war like daredevil and the defenders, punisher and moon knight etc.

I actually like this. I do like the idea of having loose connections so you could start anywhere in phase 1. It's thre individuality that makes them unique and enjoyable and the cinematic universe is the bonus
If I was redoing the MCU with all the Marvel characters I would keep everything the same as Lewis but keep The Thing alive in the second Fantastic 4 movie. I would instead have Dr Doom find a way to reverse the effects of the cosmic rays and badly injure Ben. In the post credit scene news of what Dr Doom did would give Bruce Banner the idea of reversing the effects of the gamma rays as well as Bolivar Trask the idea of a mutant cure. X-Men 2 would be about the cure and play a small role in Avengers Civil War, with the mutants who chose to retire taking the cure and giving up their powers. I'd keep Phase 3 mostly the same but add the addition of Professor Hulk to the Fantastic 4 and bring back The Thing for Avengers: Disassembled. The explanation for Professor Hulk's existence being explained in the third Fantastic 4 movie (Bruce experimented with gamma rays and the mutant cure caused him to merge with the Hulk), and an explanation on how Ben got hid powers back in Avengers Disassembled (Ben mixing the mutant cure with previous DNA samples as The Thing and a little bit of Jean Grey's Phoenix blood because it was cosmic).

This was a really great video! You should do a part 2 that would go into the next saga leading off of this. And I would change one thing, I would probably either switch where Captain America’s movie and Hulk’s movies are, because I think Hulk was more popular than him before the MCU. But honestly I love what you did with civil war (other than I would maybe put it later), so I would want both cap movies before it, so maybe you could just add in another hulk movie that would come out before avengers, again because he’s so popular. Phase 2 would be similar to phase 1 in our universe, with Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk all getting solo movies starting with Captain America getting a Winter Soldier movie taking place in 1996. Captain America would be the one who meets with General at the end of Hulk, not Stark.
Perfect world, best way to handle this is with restraint. Only mix in Fantastic 4 with Avengers during Infinity War (Silver Surfer taking Adam Warlock’s role from the comics and have Fantastic 4 be closer connected with him), you can have them team up with Strange and Ironman for a true planet hulk movie before that. Civil War could affect the following X-Men movie, and seperate Spiderman’s role in it into its’ own film (so that it feels expansive like it did in the comics). Infinity War might not be the best storyline to combine everyone together into (considering how much screen time Thanos needs) so maybe House of M would be better? Or Secret Wars? Let Infinity War be an Avengers movie with one or two X-Men and Fantastic 4

I tried to stick to people who actually got movies (MCU or otherwise) which is why I used Charaters like blade DareDevil and Ghost rider as other big characters are either mutants in which this would mainly be a xmen universe, or weren't used until phase 4 or beyond dispite owning the rights. And xemn are the avengers counter part is the Xemn and not still the avengers because I fell the xmen could still be a big event without much setup unlike the avengers which is why they take the place of the gardians, and hulk wouldn't be apart of the gardians because the gardians don't interact with the rest of the mcu so that will staystay just all on earth.

Marvel is one hell of a big franchise. Instead of using them as 1 connected universe, how 'bout separating them from one another, then create 1 big crossover. Separate them with the stories of the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic 4, Midnight Sons, etc. to cover the physical, magical, scientific and dark side of the Marvel Universe, and insert Thanos/Kang/God Emperor Doom as big bad to connected them all.
I think the best love interests pathway for Peter Parker is to start with Gwen Stacey being his first love, then either kill her off or have them split. Then tease MJ but nothing too serious early on. Then somewhere in between introduce Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) and have them have a fling for a while as they have good chemistry. Ultimately they wouldn’t last and then finally go back to MJ who is his true love and have them marry in the future.
I had the idea that if Fox let Marvel use the Fantastic Four like Sony let them use Spider-Man, then Infinity War could have Sue tell Reed that she's pregnant and Reed is overjoyed. When Thanos snaps his fingers; Ben, Johnny, and Sue are turned to dust, with Reed being the only FF member left alive. Endgame would see him in a deep depression. More lonely and suicidal than Thor's mental and physical decline. He'd have grown a beard that he's sometimes shown with in the comics instead of his traditional clean-shaven look. He would be in Cap's group therapy session where we see how losing his family absolutely ruined him. He helps Tony figure out time travel (which would use the help of Wakandan Vibranium tech, leftover Pym Particles with Hank and Janet's shrink tech, Chitauri Energy Cores, and the imrpved Arc Reactor technology from Iron Man 2). He gets emotional seeing Tony's happy life with Pepper and Morgan and cries to himself after seeing what he almost had. Reed and Sue have a triumphant reunion in the final battle, similar to Hank finding Janet in the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Except this time it's more one-sided, as time seemingly never passed at all for Sue and she would comment on his new beard with confusion and he would just be so thankful to have her back. In the epilogue, we'd see the Four in a hospital room with a clean-shaven Reed holding his newborn son, Franklin, in his arms with tears of joy in his eyes. After so much pain in the past 5-6 years, he finally came out the other side a truly happy man.
I was thinking about this these days remembering the early MCU days and actually... this could've happened, albeit not how we imagine.
In 2007, Sony (Spider-Man), Fox (X-Men), Universal (Hulk) and New Line (Blade) had finished all their plans for their current Marvel movies, where Universal ended up accepting to include MCU elements in 'Incredible Hulk', even if they weren't really gonna do another movie. What if the other studios thought "wow, 'Iron Man' made a LOT of money, maybe we could also get in on this" and all of them worked together?
In 2009, there could've been a Wolverine AND a Captain America movies, tying Magneto as Red Skull's secret weapon instead of the Tesseract. In 2012, there were the first new Spider-Man movie and the Avengers, so they could've linked both without crossing over. In 2015, there were the first new Fantastic Four and the Avengers sequel, so they could've drawn a connection between the teams with a shared villain like Molecular Man.
I think it would've been crazy because it's the ultimate fan's dream to see the entire Marvel universe together on screen. Yeah, we would have problems along the way like we already do and we wouldn't get movies on less known characters like Guardians of the Galaxy or even Ant-Man until maybe Phase 3 or 4, but it is what it is. The real loss would be movies like 'Logan' because that would be way too much of a "what if..." story in a big shared universe.
Of course, this is all considering Marvel would be producing so they would have to change the movies if they ended up like 'Fant4stic' or 'TASM2'.
I would've liked it more if they had more fun stories like the MCU in the first few phases, to sort of create a great bond between the superheroes first like the MCU did, before bombarding them with all these dark storylines like character deaths, civil war, killing x-men etc.
if you look on the bright side(which people never do anymore), it could help seen as a good thing that the MCU didnt have the rights to all these characters. It allowed them to focus more in the Avengers and aim an entire Saga for them having the best buildup and finale ever. They probably wouldn’t have been able to do all that as well if they had three teams to focus on🤷🏿♂️

My only objection would be introducing major Avengers members in other people's films during Phase 1, the reason the MCU Phase 1 worked so well was that it was so focused on setting up the Avengers, giving the four core members their own films with very little detours in each (minor characters like War Machine and Bucky being introduced but always being relevant to the story, not necessarily sign posting what was to come). Yes the MCU was later able to bring major characters in during other people's films (Black Widow and Spidey) but only after it had earned our trust.
With that in mind, my pitch for Phase 1 would be;
1) Spidey
2) Hulk (Small Tony Stark cameo similar to Hawkeye in Thor)
3) Spidey 2 (Introduces Ant-Man and Wasp as supporting players)
4) Captain America
5) The Avengers (Spidey, Hulk, Ant-Man, Wasp, Cap and Iron-Man
6) Fantastic Four
Then Phase 2 would focus on introducing the X-Men, giving a few sequels, and bringing it all together for Civil War (really like Civil War as a 2 part film by the way).
Like you said, I'm glad circumstances forced the MCU to work out like it did, in hindsight there's really nothing I'd change about Phases 1 - 3 (except for maybe Black Widow and Hawkeye films), but it doesn't hurt to fantasise :D

Iron Man (2008) same movie
Uncanny X-Men (2008) This would feature a younger version of the X-Men (around college age) the lineup would be Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Ice Man. With Cyclops being our lens into the world of mutants. The villain will be Magneto.
The Incredible Hulk (2009) same film
Ant-Man (2009) This would be Edgar Wright’s version of the film and would feature Hank Pym as the protagonist. Janet won’t be getting the Wasp suit until the post credit scene
Thor (2010) same film
The Avengers (2010) this movie will be roughly the same besides for some changes. The lineup will be Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Wasp. Instead of Thanos, the post credit scene will feature some S.H.E.I.L.D agents exploring a phenomenon they located in the arctic. One of them discovers a weird formation lodged deep in the ice. It looks to be a red and blue spangled disc with a star shape in the center, the scene would cut to black.
This would be so good for the reboot after secret wars, with a few alterations. But absolutely great.

I definitely would have done this way differently. I would have started with Hawkeye and black widow solo film, Captain America where he fights red skull and Baron Zemo. Iron man film similar to what we got just introducing the mandarin at the end. The a daredevil and punisher film where kingpin is the main villain. A blade film introducing Morbius. A spiderman origin where he faces shocker, vulture and mysterio, Introducing Norman Osborn by the end. Fantastic 4 film where the team is already established and dr doom is the main villain. X men movie similar to what we got where magneto is the villain. Thor movie where he is introduced to Hercules and and they have to battle ares god of war. Finally to round out phase 1 hulk film where he battles abomination. Second phase an avengers film where the main villain is Loki and this brings together everyone we saw in the original avengers film but with dare devil, spiderman and fantastic four helping. Afterwards another fantastic four film as a two parter introducing silver surfer and galactus. Iron man 2 film where Justin hammer and Whiplash are still the villains however hammer creates his super adaptoid. He needs thor and caps help to beat it. In doing this he sees Thor’s potential and creates the Thor buster just in case he needs it for the future. In Spiderman 2 we see Peter go to college and meets Gwen Stacy. His villains are the lizard and sandman. Daredevil 2 where he meets Electra, His villain is bullseye. Blade 2 he goes up against Dracula. He meets Black knight and by the end of the movie ghost rider is introduced. Ghost rider Vengence ghost rider teams up with Punisher helping punisher deal with the death of his family and the people that caused it. Thor 2 he meets enchantress and Scurge. The main villain is absorbing man. Captain America 2 where the main villain is crossbones and the serpent society which he gets help from spiderman. To end phase 2 Avengers 2 birth of Ultron. Tony meets Hank Pym and they create ultron. All the heroes have to battle him and his ultron bots. By the end they introduce falcon and moonknight
I like the idea of spiderman, and xmen being in their own universes. If there's a problem spiderman is alone to solve. And xmen vs humans makes more sense when there isn't thousands of other heroes running around
That's not needed though, spider-man is a part time avenger at best, he's mainly a street level hero, marvel civilians hate the other heroes as well
I'm glad they didn't have them right off the bat. We got popular comic characters brought to be household names. Iron Man, Thor, and Cap were popular within the comics crowd, but other than that not really much. If they had all their most popular ones immediately it would've gotten old fast since these characters are so popular we already know their story.
You completely missed the Black Panther, he has direct ties to the FF , Captain America, and to Wolverine.
Adamantium was made from experiments with Vibranium, as was shield.
There's no way of anyone getting Vibranium without some interaction, from Klaw at the very least.
I would of used the cap movie to introduce wolverine and namor too, as well as make mention of the original human torch.
I really think civil war should be an entire phase. I’ve always thought that would be better. Instead of trying to push it into two films. You could show the effects of the accords in the individual films. And both avengers films could be the beginning and end. And just like event comics you don’t have to watch the individual films in this phase. You will get the primary story in those two films. But will also get more context if you watch everything.
It could very much be like how they explain stuff in infinty war for viewers that didn’t watch everything. Just quick one to two sentences that catches viewers up without haunting everything.
I would actually have two villains in the for the main story in the Spider-Man story, the burglar who killed uncle Ben at the very beginning and then vulture through the main story

This cinematic universe never would have gotten past the second movie. Part of the mcu equation was the fact that when iron man came out, marvel was desperate for a win. That desperation helped them create a cinematic universe with iron man
The reason why the mcu work so well in the beginning was because we had a tight narrative wrapped around six heroes and side characters.. there was constant story building from one movie to the next but now it's just way too much to have a continuous storyline the way it was before.. we're waiting years now to find out what happens next and with the movies that are coming out it's just not worth it anymore.. we haven't seen shang chi once since his movie lol this is what's wrong with marvel

You're forgetting marketing. Without the success of the mcu, but accesss to all their characters, they would have to start with something guaranteed to be a success like Spider-man, X-Men and Hulk. After a couple successes they could backtrack and do a prequel like Fantastic Four. Iron man was a gamble but they didn't have the rights to many big name characters, and so in a world where they had all their characters they wouldn't gamble on iron man or captain america right away. Afterall, logically, if you want a franchise you start with your best characters. And FF isn't that big compared to Spider-man. Basically, this whole universe would be different
The fantastic four are the reason marvel even exists, they introduced the concept of heroes being relatable to the average reader, thing literally had the exact same comic series as spider-man, where he teamed up with lesser known heroes
Well, I think starting with Cap is really the only was to go. Also having characters related to that era. I think the Howling Commandos, Wolverine would be introduced as well as the Human Torch. Then having the Wolverine Origin but with characters like Raven and stuff. I would then put up the X-men set up set in the late 80s where the X-men are much younger just like it was. It is important especially for X-Men Days of Future past storyline. Set up a Wolverine going through that period too, but not in the X-Men. Technically the comics are supposed to be in the 60s to late 90s but to have it “modern” it kind of hard for that. Set in the late 90s a Dr.Doom solo movie this is where we see how Doom become the ruler of Latveria and how Doom meets Reed and such, but he is not going to be the main villain of the Fantastic Four movie later, it will be the Mole Man. Then fast forward everything to 2005 and set up the Avengers origin, this is only the original members, not Captain America he goes later. After 2007 we set up characters like the defenders mainly Daredevil, Punisher and all of the b-list characters that we like. In 2007 introduces the Fantastic Four they are the first family, X-Men does need to be older given the comics because the characters need to be older later. Then in 2008 we have the Avengers film. Then we have some new characters introduced that should be in the timeline at this point between 2008-2010. This is where we have the second Avengers film which would have Captain America come back. During 2009 Spider-man’s origin would come out as a series instead of a movie, why because too many things happen in his origin, not only does he fight characters like Chameleon, who personally would just be one of the first Peter fights after Ben’s death. It is important that Peter needs to be aged for later story arcs. So a younger Peter actor as well as Gwen’s death and introduction of MJ. Of course all of this is when he is in college, but Peter’s life is very long to do these storylines. Also I had an idea that Goblin would not be the one to kill Gwen. I can explain why simply put it I think having Green Goblin being the reason for everything that happened to Peter during his 3 movies with introduction of Sinister Six, the show would have some of the members including Vulture and Electro. I also forgot to mention having the X-Men being in here in the timeline, there would have been a Wolverine and Hulk movie and Wolverine getting into the X-Men. So with the Spider-man show having Hobgoblin who is Miles Warren yes I know it is Ned Leeds in the comics. He then becomes obsessed of losing Gwen, now because we need to have Norman being the one to having Gwen dying is the fact that Miles tested a pre-goblin serum. This does make him insane, but Norman also took some and was exposed, Norman doesn’t know this. But becomes the Hobgoblin as well, not the Green Goblin is slowly becoming the dominant one this is where it develops after Gwen is captured by Miles as Hobgoblin, Norman Hobgoblin comes in and takes Gwen. Now since both Miles and Norman are not fully there, they don’t know what is going on so, after Gwen’s death Miles sees this as he returns to mind wearing the Hobgoblin suit. This makes him go insane thinking he killed Gwen. Peter then would find out that it is Miles who is the Hobgoblin after he reports himself to the police. He becomes the Jackal and will later have the clone saga. But this also makes Green Goblin still the one to do it, but to have it so later when he forms the Sinister Six to take down Spider-man it would break Peter a lot worse, that is wasn’t Miles who killed Gwen but Green Goblin. This is several years later once Peter is in college. So from 2010-2012 We have the second movies for the Avengers, the third Avengers film, the second Fantastic Four movie, the four X-men movie, and as well as other hero solo films like Iron Fist who comes back after many years. I am going to stop here but I will have a better timeline because this is long. I want to do as many storylines accurately and made better or just like the comics. A few changes are made so it just more impactful, like Hobogoblin, Green Goblin feels like he needs to be made more sparingly.
I like this! It’s more grounded and simple. Focuses on the classic characters that provide more of a foundation of the Marvel Universe.
The only thing I will say is what we have learned from Fox is Dark Phoenix shouldn’t be 1 movie. I think instead of a Dark Phoenix movie bringing everyone back together, do something different with the X-Men. We have 4 movies back to back of the heroes losing, so instead of doing that with the X-Men, end X-Men 2 with the X-Men all being captured by someone like Sinister or Stryker. Then instead of Dark Phoenix have the third X-Men be The Uncanny X-Men with Logan in that lineup. We can get an adaptation Of Second Genesis/Giant Size X-Men #1!

Nah this is way to dark and depressing and some characters are even missing……and some characters dying way to early this makes me happy that we got what we got whit the Mcu and that they didn’t have all the character rights, becuse then it would be like the DCEU

Cap also doesnt die in battle in civil war comics, he dies post turning himself in after seeing how many people have been hurt or killed and then gets gunned down on his way to trial.

The following phases can go in many directions but new characters like the guardians, doctor strange, and black panther would be introduced while existing continue on with their journey. The avengers once again assemble to fight a big bad but in this universe stay together and will have characters like black panther and occasionally the X-men come in and help. This all leads to ultron and him winning thanos styles until they eventually defeat him. He’s able to at one point brainwash the hulk into attacking the avengers and after a rough battle and ultron finally being stopped they disassemble and leads directly to civil war. But before that Thor leaves earth to go on to ragnarok and tony forms a premature Illuminati kick hulk off world. Civil war happens with all characters. Right after this world war hulk occurs and heroes are out in worse light. After every heroes has gone through so much infinity war occurs when everyone is at their lowest and lose. It takes all left alive, a world war hulk, black panther whoever to lead to endgame

See for me I think if spiderman had a live action tv series for the street level stuff and for the major events turn them into movies like kinds hit it show certain villains like green goblin as Norman and show how he turns so when the movie comes he's already goblined out and ready to reek havoc but idk if I'm the only one that might things that's a good idea
there are two big villains in marvel that everyone loves who are also gigantic menaces and those are thanos and doom. by having the rights to everything i would personally just set up two big arcs with each one of those being the big baddy of each arc. then on each arc you can have progressive phases that introduces the heroes in solo movies at first, then puts them together for a bigger threats, until they reach the final boss, that being either thanos or doom. it's basically the same formula with what the mcu did up till the end of the thanos saga but i would just have introduced important characters and franchises like the x-men and the fantastic 4 sooner, skipped making movies for more minor characters and have only one movie for most characters to make room for the new ones. for the more minor and down to earth heroes i would use the tv series to tell their stories, they would be connected and affected with what is goin on in the universe but they wouldn't in turn affect it that much, so that the series wouldn't be required viewing to understand the movies. i would also 100% skip any time travel and alternate universe bs cuz that's a sure way to ruin a story.
the mcu had a good thing and it worked perfectly, there is no need to change it, if they didn't get greedy and started making a million movies and shows per year that sucked and just repeated what they did with the thanos saga, the new one would have been great.
