Excellent tips. I also think for reduced price items- would I buy this if it were full price. If not, then best to leave it! I also have a natural fibres only rule when buying clothes ( there are a couple of exceptions) which can also make it easier to walk away as I want to buy good quality items that will last. Thanks Savannah x
By incorporating most of these rules, I’ve decorated my home and clothed myself with 90% thrift items. Like you, I’ll put something in my cart and try to envision where it will go in my home. If I can’t see it, most of the time, I’ll put it back. As you can tell. I LOVE thrifting, too. ❤
I love the list idea! I was scoping out brass candle holders for almost a year and finally found a yard sale with a table full of them, each priced at $5. Worth the wait!
What I try to consider is that I might dislike a clothing item when I see it on its own, but I try to challenge myself in thinking more openly: is there a way in which I could style this, that I will absolutely love? For example, an oversized vest/waistcoat - I might think it'll look horrible, but maybe it'll fit a bohemian inspired style very well, and all you need to do is combine it with the right items. I've mostly started doing this because I don't really know too well what I like and this way I get to experiment with different styles, items & outfits
Love all of these tips! Also you’re adorable! I love all the colors in this video your black sweater, with the red nails and the tones of the frames and basket everything you’re beautiful! ❤❤❤

Such good ones! I am with you on the natural fibers. I always go straight for the tag to see what the fabric composition is. 🧵🪡

It’s so hard to find brass these days! What a score. It’s always worth the wait. 🕯️🕯️🕯️
