Major flashback with Harriet the Spy and Cucumber Melon! 😂 This list is everything. So practical! I love giving (and receiving!) consumables. Especially for teacher gifts. I hear they have enough mugs! Sometimes I do a Mrs. Meyers soap set with a kitchen towel and chocolates. Not sure if that’s weird, but I feel like everyone loves their soaps.

Very american style minimalism. It's not bad but it's just different. Crock pot? On the counter spice rack? Never met anyone in my life who owns or need that. But maybe it's cultural difference and something you view useful or important to have in the US. As a minimalist personally I would not be happy getting many of the things on this list. Things like jewellery, like you said, is really personal, and yes, you can go wrong with diamond studs or small gold hoops, if that's not the style of the receiver. So you gotta be really mindful there. I for example wan't to own 2-3 pieces of earrings only and 3 pairs of linen sets that are all same etc. and I feel like many minimalists would say the same about the items they own. To only have what they love and use and need. And like, if you have decided to only have 2-3 pairs of earrings in your life then they better be the exact ones you want. And for soap I use liquid soap and buy refill packages only so if somebody bought me soap I would love it if they bough a refill package and not a new bottle. Not as aesthetic, I know lol. So it can be quite hard to give a surprise gift to a minimalist. It's good to ask what they actually want. But if you wish to gift something without asking, I'd say the strongest choice is the things that get used up like everyday food items and socks, shampoo, deodorant. Or subscription to audiobook service or netflix or something. I personally love the candles you mentioned but also I know many people who don't like candles and view them as waste of money.

I have the same items on my list! I just want the more elevated version of the basic thing, like cashmere bedsocks vs just boring regular socks. I'd also add board games for older kids. My 5-yo will get a few fun ones which are a bit more vintage-looking with wooden pieces Also, really good hot chocolate or melting/drinking chocolate is a great one (I'm getting my husband some fancy coffee beans on a monthly subscription)

I swear by Darn Tough socks!! Wore them raving and snowboarding in France over multiple days and for hiking and they don’t stink. They are also super soft and you can’t beat lifetime warranty!

Did you swatch in store? What was your thought with getting the second lip stick. Did you just know what you like and grab it? Vaseline is gross, after finding out it a petroleum base. Use coconut, and Burts Bees for lips. Enjoyed your video.

No pink. Let them be special for two seasons. I just watched a Brit tell how to “debobble” her sweaters and she recommended a Gleener brand which sells for 20$ on Amazon. Said a knit wear maker recommended. Not battery or electric. Like you I had just bought a battery one.
