I'd be bankrupt if I lived over there. The amount of stuff you have in your thrift stores is unbelieveable. I see you walk past things on the shelves and I say to myself 'I'd buy that' about 50 times! I absolutely love the Thomas Toft pottery, it's stunning! I love those wooden roll top storage boxes. I have never seen them here in the UK.
Hi Laura. I've been looking to thrift a Penguin ice bucket since I started watching your channel. Well, I finally found one today at Goodwill for $4.79! Patience certainly paid off.

Hi Laura, the black plates were by Alessi an Italy company that make kitchen and tableware. They are in the higher end price bracket and very collectible.
I had wondered if there was a way to repair the scratches?
I almost fainted when I saw those Alexis plates!
My favorite of your finds is that beautiful pottery butter bell.
I live in Hungary and thrift stores here are not always that good, but your channel inspired me to go around my city of Budapest to discover new places... and now I have one more passion. My sister is turning 30 next week and I thrifted her an amazing vintage cat figurine just yesterday. She is not a huge vintage-lover so I am a bit nervous but hopefully she will love my find. 😊

I love finding something at Goodwill that will look great in my home...! The little watering can was my fav...gosh I love it, when I scrub and clean something and it turns out even better..!
so great to hear. My son and daughter both are in Japan. Its an absolutely wonderful country but you have just missed the snow capped mount fuji if you are travelling in April, but you will be able to witness the cherry blossom!
You find the best things and stage them equally beautiful. That big ceramic decorative spoon was my fav.
My favorite was the roll up box...I love boxes and containers. I love to thrift vases and boxes (cigar) for DIY crafts for resell/gifts.

I think the straw pot with the cute lid was my favorite. I liked how you styled it with Lavendar. I get more excited about things I can keep versus sell.
I love the Polish pottery spoon. My guess is it has a specialized purpose, but probably not intended for burning incense. The Amber glass candle holder is very cool, too.
My mom had those wooden salad bowls - a whole set of 6 plus a large salad bowl and the serving pieces. Crazy the things you remember!!

I love finding both useful and beautiful things. I’ve been looking for a French butter dish for awhile and finally found one a few weeks ago.
The little wooden roll-up box was my favorite.
The teak slide boxes....sounds like such a great interagency idea. Looking forward to that. Also, the blown glass candlestick was beautiful...all cool finds.
The minute I saw the salt and pepper shakers, I knew that they would match your kitchen so perfectly! It’s like you had them custom made😊 I don’t know why I haven’t been over to your side of the city to shop yet, other than I don’t really need anything. The little weaved basket with the lid I use mine for my seeds I harvest from my garden for the next year. They keep them dry and cool.
I loved the amber candleholder, and the watering can. I notice the candle holders you find. I saw a unique one in another video that was 3 hooked together. I mostly watch your videos for fun and to get ideas, but for myself because i like decorating. Love to see your finds😊

The salt n pepper shakers are wonderful! Great for styling but so practical for those of us with arthritic hands because they are great to grip and shake. My new quest is to find something similar. As always thanks for the inspiration.
Goodwill stores are a mixed bag for us, at least here in Pinellas County, Florida. It's rare to find anything you can flip for a profit. The managers doing the pricing are pretty well versed on what most of their stuff is worth. But we're always hoping for that one lucky find that makes all the hunting worthwhile!

We don't have "Goodwill" stores here, but some smaller vintage shops.
I just found a teal hand made 1960's glass cylinder vase in one.
About a week later I found a same color hand made matching vase in an other shop. The latter vase bottle shaped, with a short neck.
(Both shops are run by a missionary society).
The teal vases will go well with my purple "sputnik" vase from "Strömberghyttan" in Sweden.
I've become a little more color brave from watching your styling...

Laura, you will love Tokyo! People are gracious and friendly. Food was fantastic and fresh. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to thrift shop, since both my husband and son are into technology, so basically went shopping for technical things. I did however, get to visit a few gardens, imperial garden and the one at the hotel I stayed at ( Otani ). Next visit ( and there will be ! ) I plan on thrift shopping and visit more gardens.
Oh and another couple of things I liked were, the drink vending machines they have on practically every street corner, and how clean and litter free Tokyo was! The drink vending machines had every conceivable drink you can imagine!
So go and enjoy!

The picture frame was my favourite item : ) Love your channel and so interesting to see the kind of vintage items you find in the USA. I'm from Aotearoa New Zealand and we have our own local retro/vintage/antique pieces. There is a fair amount of UK, Asian and European influence to be found, too. I like the quirky mid century Australasian takes on Carlton Ware as well as Japanese pottery and kitsch. Also partial to 60s Denby. It is so well made, beautiful and functional.

I have two favorites today. I love the butter dish you found. I have been searching for a larger one like the one you found. Unfortunately, I seem to only come across smaller ones or ones with serious cracks in them.
The other item is the vintage, teak roll-up box. My eyes got really big when I saw you pick it up. I don't know why, but I just fell in love with it. What you have planned to do with your collection is so creative. I hope it works!
