Very good review. IMO the port selection really brings this otherwise pretty nice laptop down a lot. Asus says this is a creator laptop, they gave it a 4K screen, but you can't even output 4K60 to view your work on an external 4K monitor (30hz is not acceptable). A really bizarre choice on their part. And also why do so many "creator" laptops lack a full size SD card slot? Sure, we can use an external card reader or USB cable, but it's helpful to know you can always pop your card directly into the laptop from your camera, even if you don't have any accessories with you.

Yea bro. They definitely dropped the ball in that particular regard. Using external readers are not always feasible considering that one of those USB 3.2 ports might be semi permanently occupied by an external M.2 SSD because this laptop only comes with 1 M.2 slot.

Also type-c is just plain usb3, not displayport alternate mode, as I see. So no 4k60Hz on that also. Intel versions of Vivabook pro have thunderbolt, but amd version is much faster. Why not both...

I'm an American artist living in South Africa and came by your video today while researching the specs of this laptop. I must say that I enjoyed your humor and demeanor very much. Your not over the top or silly, but also get down into the facts - expaining the pros and cons of the product. God bless you bro..... I subscribed and hope to see and hear you again. Your English is good and easy to listen to.....unlike some others. Cheers.....

Thanks mate! Appreciate the compliment. I'm just injecting a lil of my goofiness into the content. The truth is, this laptop is probably great for music production since the CPU is more than enough to run a few heavier plugins here and there.

Single channel soldered RAM? How much more would it have cost to make this dual channel for ASUS?

Do you have to rescale things to read text, etc? Does that work or gets blurry? I heard people complain texts look too small and dense on 4K screens and that some programs don't scale, like DaVinci Resolve.

Hey my friend, thanks for the detailed review. Does the device's USB 3.2 Type-C port support DisplayPort Alt Mode? I am looking to output from the laptop to two 4k monitors.

Can you connect 2 external displays to this laptop? I was told that the AMD Ryzen version does not include thunderbolt so can only use one HDMI for one display. Thoughts?

The Vivobook 16x comes with 8gb soldered and 1 free slot. How will I have better gaming performance?
    8GB + 8GB = 16GB dual-channel
    or
    8GB + 16GB = 24GB without dual-channel

Not enough IO IMO to be a portable worksation and that 3050Ti is actually quite a bit worse than say a 3060.

Nah bro...leave the theory and come into the real world. Oled burn in is so rare. Have had an oled laptop for 4 years now and never seen any burn in. Have a oled tv for the same time, no burn in. As long as you are not changing the default settings...an average user will not experience burn in
