My first car ever was a ej1 ( the coupe version of this gen of civic) absolutely love it. No aids of any kind, light weight and manual transmission, it’s great. This was the car I was hoping to see the most in the car list
By a margin the length of Saturn's rings my favourite car of the update. This car, despite it's reputation for the types of it's drivers, both in real life and media, is consistently among the most reliable starters in almost every Gran Turismo game. Being imo the best starter in GT1 thanks to dominating the FF and Lightweight cup, Among the fastest FF in GT2 for sub 295 racing, is a really good GT4 starter with a lot of events it can tackle, and as Nismonath proved in his top 12 GT6 cars you need to try stock video, with just RSS tires can beat the Tuning Car race at Cape Ring. I view the SIR-II as the Type R before the Type R Civic. 168 HP in a Civic is a lot of power for the time when you think about it. For comparison, a regular EG Civic has 102 hp, and the later EG Type R has 182 HP, only 14 more than the SIR II. And guess what, the EK is also heavier then the EG. and the SIR might be even rarer since it's it's exclusive to Japan. It's for this reason I have no issue with the 50k+ price in GT7. It's pretty insane it was consistently a starter in the first place. And just as I was hoping, it's just as fun to drive as it was before in GT7. I currently have 4 different versions: Stock, tuned with the normal engine to 276hp, rally build, and fully tuned with the Integra engine. Even the Integra powered Civic with over 400hp handled way, way better than the Garage RCR Civic with only 350hp. on Racing Softs. Don't get me wrong, it's probably the least useful Honda Civic in GT7, now that we got more that can have the FL Civic engine swap, but I wouldn't say it's far off, and for my money, it's far more fun. The only problem I have with the car, and I really do mean only, is the wheels. No longer being the distinct and cool ninja star like steel wheels, it's now the aluminum 5 spoke, with no suitable replacement.
"EK Type R has 182" and I'm referring to the RCR engine swap, not the FL Civic. Had this passion comment on the backhand for days constantly updating it and somehow I still didn't notice them before it got hearted. F off life.
I don’t know why, but I felt happy when Polyphony decided to update the ‘93 SiR-II over say, a ‘91 or ‘95. This is one of the first used cars you see in the original 1997 game, and I have some history with this specific model in that it was my first car both in GT1 and GT PSP. So yeah, this ‘93 SiR-II is special to me in a sentimental way.
This car and the NSX GT500 werent in the updates data mined list but the old one from 2022. Its interesting theyre back though so i hope the old list is still impleneted
This Civic with the Integra engine swap and some upgrades performed well at circuits with lots of technical corners like the World Touring Car 600 event at Grand Valley Highway 1.
A true Gran Turismo icon right here! So glad to have it back! Its so iconic to the series!

my favorite childhood car and now dream project car
They're dead easy to work on. Don't go the common and easy K-Swap route though. If you ever do make a project car out of one, make it unique!
When I see this car in the game, I said to myself: "These gamers are gonna have a lot of fun with this JDM legend."
This is probably my favorite car out of the 5, and I love the JACCS Civic replica build I did with it.
The car that made me struggle along with the DelSol in Gran Turismo 3.. Glad to have it back especially with that glorious V-Tec kick

She's actually so much more attractive than the new civic, imo. Don't you agree?
Great video. Love this build. What paint colour did you use?
I don't recall exactly what paint it is, but possibly from the classic Mercedes gullwing 300SL
@@HSGAutomotive thanks, I’ll check it out
What’s good brother! Can I ask a question? How'd you change your corner lights to ambers?
Why is this car never available for purchase? I check the used car dealership all the time its never for sale but they ALWAYS have the EK hatch 🙄
Not sure, strange
best car:
How does his turing lights look more orange?
You can swap them over in the livery editor under the racing numbers and window banners etc section
You can change it under I'm not sure racing items or under livery editor
