They attacked across the southern front instead of concentrating on a single schwerpunct. The Americans told them to concentrate their attack. They did the opposite, then quit when they took expected losses.

Hi Legend AP! Not you but most other videos of explosions doctor the sound. Having worked on a gun range at Eskmeals, I used to notice that neighbouring batteries when firing, the sound took a surprising while to reach me, makes me think what else has been doctored?

Miss your reports when I don't see them - though I hate to see all the red pins. I keep hoping they'll stop - wonder how Ukrainian mobilization and training is. If it's that or Russia's mobilized more- or our ammo and weapons STILL aren't there in enough quantity. Looks to me anyway that Russia's attack in the North did bear some fruit in the East. I hate it.

If you analysed the movement of the front lines in WW1 in this manner you would say Germany was on the point of winning in April 1918. We all know how that one ended. Don't read too much into the local movement of the lines. Hopefully Russia will be clearly defeated to avoid a "Stab in the back" myth emerging and this war having a second act.
