Avocado is definitely better on sandwiches with crusty breads, like on a panini or something. Gives you a bit of bite to support the mush lol

Pret deserves so much more of a rep, best coffee and best food for high street coffee places
Its soo pricey though so I only get it for a treat. Their sandwiches are lush though

@@shaunaisaJellyBean I mean, you're right, filter coffee is very reasonable. I don't drink black coffee though, and would normally get a latte or something. If I get a small latte and a sandwich it normally comes to like £8. I consider that to be quite pricey for coffee and a sandwich, so for me personally, Pret is a treat! I do love their food, and their coffees are lovely but I just couldn't afford to get it on a regular basis. I am glad to hear that their filter coffees are reasonably priced though, as I'm sure loads of people are grateful for that. xx

I literally have a shirt that shows all the differences of coffee drinks and I still don't remember the difference. Ha! So I get it!

It's delicious (especially with their little sachets of tabasco) however it's such a small portion for the price so I can never really justify it because I need to get something else on the side.

Flat white: double espresso with smooth steamed whole milk and a thin layer of micro foam. Lower ratio of milk to coffee than a latte so it’s smaller and stronger, and only comes in one size (usually 6oz) and is always made with whole milk as standard. It originated in New Zealand (according to about 90% of sources). No one can really completely agree on what it is, but in short, the above is whata brief summary based on my experience from working in coffee shops. Some baristas will get really pissed off if you ask for a large flat white, because that doesn’t exist. It should be strong, smooth and rounded and have a velvety mouthfeel.
Macchiato: translates as “stained or marked” referring to an espresso being “stained” with a very small amount of milk. Essentially it’s just espresso with a very small amount of steamed milk (it’s the drink with the lowest milk:espresso ratio available in most coffee shops, a cortado is equal parts espresso to milk). There’s no universal rule for the amount of milk used so it varies but it’s usually around the 5-10ml (1-2 tsp) mark making it usually served as a 37ml or 1 1/4oz. Some people characterise it as a layered drink but from my experience that’s more specific to latte macchiato which uses a lot more milk than the espresso macchiato.

The hot chocolate from pret is heaven. My office has a pret just around the corner and I remember going to get the hot chocolate on winter mornings. Now we are working from home. That's the only thing I miss about going into the office

The posh pickle & cheddar baguette, with a sparkling lemonade and cheese & onion crisps was my go to dinner break meal when I was working in the UK.
The Chocolate Praline Cookie is to die for.
You have to check it out, it has a gooey hazelnut & chocolate filling. Absolutely gorgeous
The best thing is the ham, cheese, bacon and tomato croissant--only available for breakfast. So weird because it's essentially pizza. Soooo good. Also the chicken katsu curry soup.

My order now is posh cheddar and pickle (or the falafel and halloumi hot wrap) also the veggie roll with tabasco for breakfast.
I always get that dark choc and almond butter cookie (it's vegan!) and cappucino. The salmon salad is delicious too!

Can you please test everything at veggie Pret as well? They recently veganised all their pastries (the almond croissant is INSANE) and they have some really cool options not available at the regular pret like fake tuna and such :)

There are a couple of my favs that you didn't have. The chocolate pot and the popcorn bar are excellent and not too sweet. Although you might want to have a light lunch with them!

As every single Londoner, Pret A Manger is somewhat my lifeline for me. It's just such a huge part of a Londoners life 😂😂. I'm signed upto the £20 a month subscription and its simply amazing. My go to hot drink at Pret A Manger is a Black Americano as I always opt for something healthy. However, I love a Hazelnut Skinny Mocha, Almond Caramel Latte or a Vanilla Skinny Cappuccino

That was SO much food! Even just a few bites each, and 2 hours, you must have been so stuffed afterwards. I wish, wish, wish, we had Pret-a-manger in the US. I love it whenever I've traveled in the UK. We simply don't have anything similar here. To an American, any pre-made sandwich is looked upon with disdain, suspicion, and disgust... I really want to try the posh cheese and pickle one now.

I agree! 😂 I currently work for pret and I always toast the chicken baguette, it's just the best item in the menu if u do so lol but we can't do it for customers so i guess they'll never know haha
