I somewhat stereotype Italy to be like a happy place with Mario mustache, "Mamamia", Romantic Pizza and Pasta dinner and romantic tour in Venice forgetting how much creepy mythical creatures and religious history they have which is what made this level quite scary to me.

Drolta used dark magic on the Leaning Tower of Pisa that caused the tower to rock back and forward and summon floating platforms that circled around the tower to prevent Eric from reaching the top while being bombarded with medusa heads and skeleton bats.
History fact: Italians and Austro-Hungarians' war gone for a long time,going to despair and despair during take more and more casualties and both are only able to gain little in Italian front...The more horror for Italians is - catastrophe in Caporetto...the reaper itself intimidates whole Italy.
