This theme made you feel like a badass just stomping through the first level jamming out.......little did you know that the rest of the game would kick your ass
I feel dumb because as a teenager now, I emulated it thinking it would be fun and I immediately got my shit rocked in the first level. Safe to say Castlevania isn’t my game.
I didn't think it was that bad compare to some previous Castlevania like the third one.... until the Final Boss whoever thought fighting Dracula a boss notorious for teleporting around and using long range attack and having a second form on an arena full of holes is a complete asshole.
This specific Castlevania was made poorly. No hit stun from enemies made this a bitch because you could go from full health to dead in a matter of seconds and if you died and continued somewhere without a certain sub weapon then it was a restart.

When this game was first coming out on the SNES, I remember how stoked I was as a kid, and wasn't sure what to expect. And I certainly didn't expect the first stage music to slap that hard. Slapped harder than my step dad.
When I first heard this, I assumed it was the Rondo version. Imagine my shock when I found out this was the version that played on the SNES...musical wizardry, man.
i was captivated the very first time i played this game on the snes...this first stage music and that flaming effect of the town in the background sure set the mood right!!
dracula x é um dos mais difíceis da série apesar de eu preferir super castlevania 4 e bloodlines de mega drive a música desse aqui é infinitamente melhor

Well, I've discovered something odd. In the game Dark Cloud 2, one of the songs in the game (Hidden Power) has a very similar musical style to this song in Castlevania Dracula X.
Although on a less powerful sound chip, this is better! I still wish they made a version of THIS iteration but in the style of PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16, aka Rondo of Blood
I remember hearing this in a game grumps compilation and immediately loving it. I know very little about Castlevania other than it’s music is badass and so I decided fuck it, I’ll emulate Dracula X. I immediately felt like an idiot because I got my shit rocked in the first level so I couldn’t even feel cool. Safe to say Castlevania isn’t exactly my game. What little I did get through was fun though.
This is such an awesome track. I used to just put the game on to losten to this track. I also managed to convert the SPC of this jnto a Protracker module.
Your wish has been granted. Divine Bloodlines plays during the latest Castlevania Nocturne trailer, and the showrunners have confirmed that it will also be played in an episode of the series: th-cam.com/video/_afpwpbKPs0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BC3NFL-Ex4XonM_5
i cant belive that this sound came out of a fucking 16 bit machine.
its way ahead of its time
Not like the snes sound chip uses samples or something
If only that, you just have to try the PC Engine version which is much more beautiful and convincing…
me too
Ppl still co pare it to the CD QUALITY AND STORAGE of th pc e gine version? You cant compare them both. Still the SNES did an amazing work like always
SNES used Sony sound chip designed by Ken Kutaragi the father of playstation

Magnus Adustum Shut up, Dracula!
Magnus Adustum why would Dracula dislike the theme? It's based off emphasizing him after all.

why, the original is better, more tastefully composed, more epically
I have to admit that the funky guitar hits harder in this version, the bass is also pretty good, but for the rest the og wins
that funky guitar at the beginning, simply perfect

Just came here after the end of episode 6 of nocturne. That final battle was EPIC!

“There’s something you forgot about Belmonts. How stupid of me, I’ve forgotten it too.” 🔥
Dude that freaking bass at the beginning 🔥🔥

Dracula and Alucard
Solid Snake I don't think that Alucard would dislike this video after all he is a vampire hunter
Karen Tucker But Richter was in SOTN
DarKKnightt07 COUGHS COUGHS 3 dislikes
Dark Sun medusa and Frankenstein must have accounts too
I think this is one of the coolest musical pieces on the SNES only rivaled by the likes of FFVI
Ay yes terras theme, one of my all time favorites
1995 was the best for SNES music. This game gets overshadowed by a bunch of greats.
I have no idea why I had this in my head today, decided to just come and listen to it.
This theme, Bloody Tears, and Alucard's theme, are my favorite Castlevania themes
A trilha sonora de Castlevania Dracula X é espetacular.
dracula x é um dos mais difíceis da série

Is it me or does Richter flip the bird at every person that owned this game? Awesome theme, BTW.
Perro V A reference to what SNES carts go for these days.
That was the music that hooked me into Castlevania Series, since Dracula X was my first one
Geovane Sancini same here!

Started from castlevania 1 on Nes glad I didn't start on the newer ones and got to to appreciate the changes through the years.

This honestly sounds like something that came straight out of Mega Man 7 and I’m not complaining
Damn, I really like both games and their soundtracks. what a coincidence
The sound chip the SNES used punched WELL above its weight class.

that bass..

There are little orchestral flourishes all over this song that just hit.
They butchered ma boy so hard in Netflix😭😭
This is one of those retro game themes that feel like should've received official lyrics by now.
this is the best theme to stage 1 for a castlevania.

well it did come out years later and CV4 was a launch game.
Opinion. While I feel the same (only good track in IV is Simon's theme), it doesn't make it true.
Why is the soundtrack to this game so much better sounding then the other SNES stuff?
+Ryan Chapman Konami's soundchips were superior to anything else
Sgt. Pepper Okay that explains it. (you gain 1 INT)

wasnt that it was carts were bigger in 95, and with konami adding better music they had to cut out parts of the game.
