I suck at these games, but I absolutely love them at the same time. It could just be the fact that I am getting better, but these guides (the plant) gave me the needed tips/skills for the boss survival. I made it through everything and killed only one person. I couldn't figure out who it was until I went through boss survival and took down Solidus with my blade and realized that he was, in fact, my one and only kill following your guide. So bummed, but skipping cut scenes seems to cut the game down by quite a large chunk. So thank you again, and I'll see you over on the easy run-through dog tag videos!
Sorry you ended up with one kill but you’ve got this on subsequent runs! No killing on Easy difficulty isn’t much more difficult than VE so you’ve definitely got it on the next playthrough! Good luck with your next runs! I’ll try and work on the next guide this weekend!

Even on the Japanese version I still have made and loaded so many new saves I suck 😂 what alerts don't count to the ranks? Because I've seen people getting spotted by 1 camera and wolf And not counting. Sorry for the long message just wanted some help.

Thank you for the helpful guide. For the engine room, you mentioned that the first guy would not respawn. I would just like to add that the 5th (last) guy will also not respawn if you reload from this room. I would suggest saving in Deck A before entering the engine room. That would allow a fresh start if anything goes wrong. I would also suggest getting all 5 dog tags before attempting to increase your grip. I had trouble with that. Anyway, thanks for the top notch video.

In the cave where you fight the pain there is a kerotan frog in it's og position*

Excellent guide! Quick question: How are you lowering your pistol after aiming at the enemy without firing or unequipping. Back on PS2 it was all pressure sensitive, but the Ps5 doesn't have that (Unless I"m just wrong)
This is the question I wanted to ask. I've had to reset a few times because I've either accidentally shot or I put the weapon away for a second (to avoid shooting) and the guard becomes hostile.

Hey I was wondering if this was a visual glitch but 0:22 the squares on the left when you go through each section in the menu from new game down, they go past the vertical line, a little more to the right than they should. Not seen this on previous versions, normally they are behind the line.
Yeah theoretically but that would take a long time since it takes the guards forever to wake up on Very Easy. That might be a good idea on the Plant chapter since you can use the coolant spray to wake them up.
If you missed a tag on tanker you can complete your current tanker-plant run and then just start a tanker run on your current save file to go back and get the one tag you missed.
is their a way to reset the game without having to go back to the home screen and close it just to launch it back up again? mgs has the L1 and R1 buttons and 3 has the menu screen, but 2 really screwed us lol
yes i got stealth camo and bandana, but you have to get dog tags 3 in modes so just watch the guys video on how to get dog tags on very easy, easy ,and normal
Suppressor is non available on the very first run in the tanker. In the same location you mentioned, you can find the thermal visor, useful to check if you have taken the dog tags (you must check soldiers chest in first person mode).
@@Orlpliskins you have to obtain at least 60 tags in the tanker and 120 in the plant across multiple difficulty levels and using the same save. Considering the total number, I think it is enough to obtain almost every tags in very easy, easy and normal. In the HD collection you had to do also hard and extreme since also the other wigs were mandatory for the platinum trophy. In the master book (main menu of the mgs2 master collection) you can find a dog tags guide, in case.

Los soldados están en las mismas posiciones en las 3 dificultades para quitarles las chapas ? Cada dificultad entiendo que desbloqueará algo al final del juego que hará más fácil la siguiente pasada. Sin embargo dices que tiene que ser en el mismo guardado y ahí viene la duda....si cargo la partida la dificultad deja cambiarla? Por que tenía entendido que si guardas en X dificultad se mantiene todo lo conseguido solo en esa dificultad. No entiendo la forma de hacerlo 😅
@@Orlpliskins Difficulty on the video is very easy, you can start a new game by loading the final save state of the previous run, the game allows to select the difficulty. Soldiers may change positions, or you can find more soldiers in highest difficulties.

Really wish there was an out of game style menu for this like they put into MGS1 where you can press L1 & R1 together and go back to the menu
There was in the PS2 version, but it got taken out of the HD version for some reason.
Idk if it’s in master collection but in Legacy collection you could press L1 L2 R1 R2 Start + Select all at the same time and go back to main menu.
if you pause the game, you can l1 r1 and reset the game (back to main menu but with the company splash pages first)

I remember there being an app for mgs2 where you it tells you call the dog tag locations, its called dog tag viewer.
Sadly they removed it.

Click in L3 once you’re gun is raised to lower it without firing

Completed all tags on very easy and easy on Tanker on xbox and the Yorkie achievement won't unlock

Do we need all dog tags for every difficulity?
For the Master Collection version of the trophies you only need all of the dog tags from Very Easy to Normal.

each difficulty has different dog tags, but its never more than 34 for each one (in the tanker section)

You missed the suppressor in the crows nest. I thought you would have grabbed that for the USP.
I don't use the USP other than to take out C4 since this is a no kill run.

I got the pacifisst run by just completing tanker with no kills on ps4, just in case anybody would like to know
The grip strength is soooo frustrating. I get to about 8 grabs then fall and have to keep repeating
I finally got it after about an hour of trying. Never again
When I try holding them up and slightly holding square down it still shoots the gun.
I got to like 16 drop hangs and died then i couldn’t do it anymore lol. Lame trophy don’t care now
