ESPECIALLY if you play Integral on Extreme WITH Alternate Round enabled as some sections become very tricky to pull out without entering Alert phase... not to mention that if you know how to perform certain glitches, it makes the PAL versions a little bit more viable depsite running slower than the NTSC versions, and for the NTSC versions using those is overkill.

To those playing on Integral, for the love of god don't make the same mistake I did and forget the buttons prompts are inverted when the game asks you if you want to make a clear save. O is Confirm and X is Cancel. I did a no saves run and was absolutely buttfucked by it.
I got the Elite trophy without having to do it! I don't know why, it might be a bug bet here's what I did to get it so you can test it. I finished the game one time in normal mode and French language, got the bandana ending and received the code name "iguana". When I started the new game plus, the Elite trophy popped just like that! Best bug in my life! 😁 Now I am doing the VR missions (European version) to get the platinum! Thankfully, I always check my trophies especially when that are painful like this one, because I could have make that mistake. I hope Konami will path this trophy for the US version, report that to Konami so they know!!!!
Fun fact... the Ghostly Encouter Throphy came when I read the whole MG and MG2 story... I thought that was the Stories fot "Cover to Cover Solid" Trophy ... but Im still confused why this trophy came after I read all pages there
yeah, the 300 vr mission trophies only works for the PAL "special missions" disc. It doesn't work for the NTSC vr missions disc. EDIT: no idea if it does/doesn't work for integral, but i can confirm it pops for special missions

I started a new game on extreme, and I have a strange location of opponents, strange cutscenes are not the same as on the level (easy) or hard, the integral version of the game, maybe someone knows how to fix it?
you properly activated Alternate mode, what you need to do during the difficulty selection screen is to press and hold L2 + R2 then start the game, and you will play with Standard mode.

@@takumics55 I just went to the regular game up top and choose Japanese the game will automatically start one difficulty and just meet the requirements for Fox Codename and you're good to go that's what I did and got Fox on my 2nd playthrough using stealth because I accidentally killed 30 enemies but everything else was right on target
It's not bugged. I thought same thing too but it is not. After you took a picture, save photo, quit game and go back to MGS1 menu, select "special", select "album", load save photo, it shows a ghost on photo then press "exorcise" and you got trophy.
If you need to pause in MGS1, do it with the Master Collection emulation menu (you know... the one that shows the option to make your controller P2 for Mantis fight... which is also good for the escape portion before Liquid as you can despawn the guards by moving them long enough off-screen (you know they despawn if Meryl/Otacon say their line that they can continue to drive) ... especially if your kill number is close or equal to the limit allowed)
@@Alex_Logan22 Well, apparently is some sort of debugging tool that never got removed since the original PS1 version and a 2nd controller in that portion can move the guards during the espace sequence in the portion where you have to pass 2 checkpoints before Liquid's pursuit to do what they're NOT intended to do (which in this case make them leave to despawn them) to make things easier for the player.

I just got all the achievements, I did the trophy for completing all the VR missions in the second game, in "Special Missions", not the third.
I got elite trophy by playing OG Japanese version without changing anything, used Prison glitch to skip a lot of bosses.

For the original Japanese version, You need to beat the game and have a completed file. You turn off the radar from the special menu.
