One thing about the Blue Wig: It lets you breathe underwater even though you don't swim that much in the game. Not really worth it. The high frequency blade would have been better.
The rewards in MGS 1 were not “basically nothing” in the context that the game came out in 1999. Cosmetic rewards like that were uncommon at the time and it was a fun little addition.
That’s a really stupid comment. Because resident evil and other games had alternate costumes so no it wasn’t that uncommon. It had no effect on gameplay so it was basically nothing.
I like to think every kid played this game on repeat, so these extra cosmetics were worth wild, like wow theres still more stuff to unlock after the 4th playthrough. Play MGS1 almost daily for a year

Infinite Face Camo in MGS3 has 2 ways to get it, same with Stealth Camo. Inf Face Camo: Capture the Tsuchinoko alive and keep it the entire game or beat the game with no kills. Stealth Camo: Shoot every single Kerotin Frog toy in the game or beat the game with no alerts.

For the stealth camo I'd suggest doing it without getting caught cause you are able to reload a save but save for the frogs it's just with the frogs there is a few hard to hit areas which may prevent you from getting them and it doesn't say if you got the all till the end of the game. My bad for yapping there but hope it helps
i would restart the cycle segments if i couldnt hear the frog becuase you cant assume you shot it only to get noting in the end, thats what made that sauck
@@j.r.6627 Getting the frogs in the chase/motorcycle parts is made easier if you use the rpg. You only need to aim next to it instead of pinpoint. The splash damage counts too.
I'm one of those people that did manage to get the rank of Big Boss on MGS4. It was an unforgettable experience and felt extremely rewarding accomplishing such a feat. Any fan of the series should give it a try!
It really wasn't that difficult. There's guides out there that show you the best route. So all you have to do is save while entering each area and if you screw up you load the save file. I will say though the last fight against ocelot was very difficult

He'll say " I don't think so " on 1 and 2 but the third time he'll say " Fine take it" and shake and the camo will pop out. Then he'll throw a stun nade and run off.
That moment you see the Moss Camo pop out of The End just as the Cutscene is about to lock you out of getting it forever is something that makes me understand what Kaz was getting at. They played us like a damn fiddle! This isn't right, that was ours!

Bro 1000 is pretty much if you fultoned like 10 enemies per mission. Not that hard tbh. Plus the additional driving to and fro to the mission area usually has enemies in-between in outposts. Easy if you like kidnapping people. (I'm already trained in the subject so it was very easy)
Earning the perfect playthrough of MGS4 was still the hardest achievement I've ever done. So worth it! The Big Boss face camo makes for a fun and hilarious playthrough! The one game that came close was S ranking Hardcore in Resident Evil 2 REmake.

The Tsuchinoko was super easy, barely an inconvenience. Just place a mousetrap and come back to it. I also got all the boss camos and the stealth. It was fun. The only pain were the frogs on the driving section.

I've bought Snake Eater 4 times and have hunted down those frogs each time. I look forward to hunting them down again in Delta. Also beating MGS4 getting a Big Boss rating got you essentially Solidus's burned face as a mask and it would scare any guards that saw it.
for me personally, was getting THE FEAR camo in mgs3. Debatable that it's easy to get, but man did i have a lot of bolts in me, and practically exhausted all my food and tranqs. all doing it with blurry vision and no glasses, i've spent like 3 and a half hours fighting that boss. but man was it cool to have that all rounder camo. i felt like an octopus just sticking to walls and watch that camo adapt.
Achieving the Big Boss emblem is one of my proudest gaming moments lol. It’s actually not *that* bad. Not being able to use health items doesn’t really matter because you won’t be doing much fighting, and the time limit is actually pretty generous considering how much of the game is cutscenes. Also, the solar gun helps massively, and you get to hear Snake say “SUNLIIIIIGHT!!!!” whenever you charge it haha
The End is so hard i rather leave MGS3 and didn't play it on my PS2 for 2 weeks and beat him "instantly", yeah back then many video game magazine already tell us that "you can beat The End by simplify NOT PLAYING MGS3 for 2 weeks after you save your game at the start of The End boss battle"😅
The End never was that hard in the story. If you had the original game on the PS2, there was a mode called Duel Mode Special where you could fight all the bosses on harder terms. The End on that mode was an absolute nightmare; he was much harder to find, you lacked the thermal goggles and he could literally take you out with one headshot which he almost always did when he spotted you. took me months back in the day to defeat him
Unlocking the Raiden outfit in MGSV actually was easy but time consuming. Just gotta finish fast and get out early. Can look online for tips on certain levels
Unlocking Raiden in mg35 was a nightmare For those of u who want to get him, here's a tip: if u cant 100% stealth a mission, speed running it is an easy "A" for almost every mission, which is fitting since hes speed based

The 1000 fultoning enemies is easier than you might realize. It's enemies, prisoners, animals and don't quote me on this but I think vehicles and weapon emplacments might count too.
i think the moss camo is placed far too high, it's relatively easy as you only have to sneak up on the end once and from there you can use thermal or night vision (i forgot which) goggles to follow the footprints he leaves when retreating to another sniping position
the kerotan was horrible but with the gako camo and drictional mic made it alot better i did the big boss emblem 3 time on mgs4 first time i got it my save got courrputed so i did again and when the trophy patch was released did it one final time
Was there a different way to unlock the patriot in metal gear solid four? I know for a fact I had that gun because I always liked the fact that a portion of snake eater would play whenever you would aim it, but I also know I didn’t go through the criteria you just mentioned to get that gun.
I had all rewards except the Raiden suit in mgs5 phantom paine, I love the mgs games more with a story not with the mission stuff witch you have to repeat countless times to get an s rank or do special things.... That's why mgs 3 was the best, the keraton/frog stuff was really hard especially the ones that you had to shoot while doing the motorbike escape scene, and of course the no alert, no kill and 5 hour run in European extreme was really hard. But with some tricks like the right outfits and equipment it was way easier. And the tsushinoko was really easy you just had to put some traps in a certain area and you almost got it 100% what really was bad is that you lost it in the waterfall area and you had to catch it again. I renember doing all endings or more precisely all animal symbols at the end of the game. That included eating all things, killing all most everything, kill nothing, but in the end the longest I took was panda symbol it is for finishing the game with a time over 60h or was it even 90h. I remember it was really long.
back in unemploye age back then in mgs3 the only thing i can't do is finding the kerotan the boss camos is alright i can use save state for it and it quite breeze
the all dog tags in mgs2 will show you a website (but i am unaware of the internet at that time) and I obtained the blue wig unknowingly after that and bigboss face camo is also hard in mgs4
Getting an S rank on mgsv missions is not very difficult as long as you skip the cutscenes and go as quick as you can, the timer affects how much points you get at the end the most and you only need 130000 to get s rank
I got the patriot in mgs4. It wasnt hard because you were allowed to save after each act. Also, once online, you can get a syringe that lets you see the locations of different enemies
there is an error, the patriot in MGS4 is unlocked by finishing the game in any difficutly. Whats you get with the Big Boss rank is the "big boss" face camo.
that's not true, the Patriot is the reward you get along with the Big Boss face camo for getting the Big Boss emblem, but the weapon was also obtainable through a code

Pretty much any MGS:SE item they mentioned. I got them. Though I did play it a lot, so I had a lot of practice.

I got the patriot in mgs4. It wasnt hard because you were allowed to save after each act. Also, once online, you can get a syringe that lets you see the locations of different enemies

there is an error, the patriot in MGS4 is unlocked by finishing the game in any difficutly. Whats you get with the Big Boss rank is the "big boss" face camo.
that's not true, the Patriot is the reward you get along with the Big Boss face camo for getting the Big Boss emblem, but the weapon was also obtainable through a code
No, that’s MGS3 where you get it by beating any difficulty. MGS4 either has to be BB rank or password.
You had to beat it on The Boss Extreme for certain. I did it twice
The good cheats never are there to help you in a playthrough. They are there for the person who loves a game on the 10th playthrough.
The d walker fulton is not that necessary, you actually lose experience points if you use it and you never get S rank.

That stupid frogs.. failed on the one while escaping on the motorcycle. Reloading that part was about 10mins, just to fail again.
The hardest one to hit on the escaping bit is in the jungle
