You were curious about the video having movie clips. After you watch part 2 it will have come full circle. Have a great weekend. 👍🤞
Fun fact . Bon jovi has a cameo appearance but he is disguised. When chavez and doc escape the pit and the rest start to escape there is a guard who gets hit by the prisoners and only appears for a few seconds. Its bon jovi in disguise playing an extra cause he was on set that day. And tom cruise is an extra in this movie. One of Murphy’s men shooting at the house during the siege scene.
Another good western is Open Range. If you’re interested in western comedies, City Slickers 1 & 2 are really good & so is The Cowboy Way which also has Keifer Sutherland in it.

I was born and raised about an hour from the town of Lincoln. This is a great movie, but not the most historically accurate. John Tunstell wasn't old, for example. However, before New Mexico acheived statehood, it was run by a bunch of corrupt men known as The Santa Fe ring. Murphy had them in his pocket, and Tunstall had the nerve to try and compete. Now, check out Young Guns 2. It continues Billy's story. And raises the old question of whether or not Pat Garrett really killed him. Billy the Kid is our Elvis or Tupac in NM.
The cast in Young Guns was a mix of new stars at the time, and veteran stars: - Emilio Estevez (Billy the Kid) - The Breakfast Club, The Mighty Ducks Trilogy - Kiefer Sutherland (Doc Scurlock) - The Lost Boys, Stand By Me, 24 - Lou Diamond Phillips (Chavez) - La Bamba, Longmire - Charlie Sheen (Dick Brewer) - Platoon, Wall Street, Two and a Half Men - Dermot Mulroney (Dirty Steve) - My Best Friend’s Wedding - Casey Siemasko (Charlie Bowdre) - Three o’clock High, Back to the Future Parts 1 & 2 (as 3-D) - Terry Quinn (Alex McSween) - The Stepfather, Tombstone, Lost - Jack Palance (L.G. Murphy) - Batman, Tango & Cash, City Slickers 1 & 2. - Terence Stamp (John Tunstall) - Best known for General Zod in Superman: The Movie and Superman II. Also starred in Wall Street, Alien Nation, and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. I hope that you’ll check out the sequel; featuring Jon Bon Jovi’s hit “Blaze of Glory” (I think you reacted to it on your music channel).
Another famous actor Brian Keith (Buckshot Roberts} the Bounty hunter that killed Dick. He played the father in the 1960's show "A Family Affair" and played Sally Fields stuntman father in the movie "Hooper"
Apparently, Tom was visiting the set because he became friends with Emilio when they were filming The Outsiders 5 years earlier. He asked to be in a scene and the director agreed and sent him to wardrobe. It's too bad that he's so hard to recognize and it's, literally, a blink and you'll miss it moment, but I suppose that it might've been distracting if he had been recognizable because he was already a pretty big star after Top Gun a few years earlier.
3 fantastic Westerns: "Man from Snowy River" is exceptional, "Silverado" with a very young Kevin Costner and Danny Glover is hilarious, an "Pale Rider" is a Clint Eastwood underrated classic. You both will love them all.
@@jeromysmith2486 Pale Rider is actually pretty much a remake of Shane (Starring Alan Ladd, 1952) with a few character changes, also with elements of High Plains Drifter (Starring Clint Eastwood, 1973).
Emilio and Charlie are brothers in real life. Emilio was in Breakfast Club. So many young actors that are superstars now! Emilio's character is Billy The Kid.
FYI, Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez are brothers and sons of famous actor Martin Sheen. Estevez is their real last name. Since back in the day many actors had stage names Martin took Sheen and Charlie (Carlos) took dads stage name, whereas Emilio kept his true last name. And, yes, Emilio was the coach on Mighty Ducks.
Another great western film for you guys to react to is "3 :10 To Yuma" (2007), starring Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Ben Foster, and Peter Fonda. Excellent film!

Jack Palance as the bad guy Murphy got his first Oscar nomination 40 years before he finally won for City Slickers. Billy Crystal co-starred in that and presented him with the award. He went up on stage and did some one handed push-ups saying he was keeping up with the young ones. Y'all would enjoy the heck out of City Slickers a comedy western. For a good old John Wayne movie I recommend The Cowboys. ❤❤

A few things guys. The Sheen's family name is actually Estevez. Charlie and Emilio are brothers. Their dad is actor Martin Sheen. He changed his name for professional reasons. Charlie used the new name and Emilio used the original. Emilio was the jock in Breakfast Club and the Ducks coach. The guy Billy killed in the bar - Billy asked to touch the guys gun so he could empty it. Charlie did go to see a special lady. While he married a young Mexican woman the woman he asked to just hold him is believed to have been his mother. She didn't know he was her son. It is believed widely by many that Pat Garrett felt so guilty about his betrayal that he simply told people that he killed Billy so nobody would keep searching for the kid, but let Billy escape. The legend is that it was Billy himself who carved Pals on the headstone, and that he lived to be an old man. Oh and it is said that Billy was not left-handed. That story got started because one of the few photos of him with a gun got reversed in printing and made him appear to be a lefty. There are so many great westerns. Try some John Wayne classics. The Cowboys, The Shootist, McClintock, Rio Bravo and maybe Big Jake. Oh and if you watch Wayne's movie Chisum you will get more of Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett too. One of the great westerns of all time as well is one called The Magnificent Seven. Great cast and story!!
Big Jake is surprisingly violent. McClintock is a very un-PC comedy. And I’m surprised you didn’t mention the original True Grit with Wayne, Glen Campbell, and Kim Darby.
One of my all time favorite movies and westerns. I never get tired of watching it. Part 2 is also a great film. A little fact for you guys, the guy that gets shot 43:23 is actually Tom Cruise. Another fun fact the monologue that Charlie says at 2:39 was used as the intro to Warren G's song "Regulate".
Amber, Bad Girls is another really good western that is kinda like this one, except the main characters are women. It stars Drew Barrymore and Madeline Stowe. I think you guys would really enjoy it also. 😊
Emilio Estevez and Charles Sheen are brothers in real life. Estevez is the family name. Their father changed his name to Martin sheen when he started acting. Charlie took his fathers acting name
Since Charley was Amber's favorite character, I can report that the actor who played him(Casey Siezsmeko) started in a worth watching 1980's movie called "3 O'clock High". Teen movie, with Richard Tyson. The baddie from "Kindergarten Cop".
Hi Jay! I know you said you're a Hip-Hop head. Did you recognize the sample taken from this scene here 2:36? It was used in the opening of the 1994 song "Regulate" by Warren G., ft. Nate Dogg.
They lingered on Billy meeting Pat Garrett at the dance early on because most people knew, at the time of this movie, that Garrett would eventually be the one to kill Billy the Kid (in real life). Btw... you saw Billy the Kid in another movie... Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
There are two gravesites for Billy the Kid. One is in Ft Sumner, New Mexico. That is where the man that was killed by Pat Garrett is buried. There's also a grave in Hamilton, Texas of a man named Brushy Bill Roberts. He died in 1950 at the age of 71. He claimed to be Billy the Kid. He said that Pat Garrett let him go (they were supposedly friends at some point) and passed the body of someone else off as Billy the Kid to claim the $500 reward. It was never proven that Brushy Bill was in fact Billy the Kid though.

There are survival myths concerning several notorious outlaws of this period and later. Billy the Kid and Jesse James are both rumored to have actually lived to a ripe old age. John Dillinger can also be added to this list, along with a Robin Hood like bootlegger and gangster who is famous (infamous) in my area of Southern Illinois, Charlie Birger. And who's to say the stories aren't true in some cases if not all. It wouldn't have been all that hard to do back in those days. Even law enforcement was often sympathetic to or under the influence of these men. In the case of Charlie Birger, because of death threats from a rival gang, led by the Shelton Brothers, he was allowed to keep a fully loaded Thompson machine gun in his cell during his stay in jail awaiting his date with the gallows. He promised the sherriff he wouldn't try to escape, and everyone knew Charlie Birger's word was gold. This was in 1928. Please, do watch Young Guns 2. For more on Jesse James there are The Long Riders and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Public Enemies is a good look into the Great Depression era criminals with Johnny Depp as John Dillinger.
@@jackbrooks5487 Yep, I don't doubt any of it, nor do I necessarily believe any of it. It's a fascinating period of history that makes for some great stories. I'm just saying that the widely accepted truth among the general public going into this movie was that Garrett took him down.

Love this movie! I have this on Blu Ray, the 35th Anniversary Edition from LionsGate. Historians have said that this is the most accurate portrait of Billy The Kid.
This movie was based on the real life historic Lincoln County War in New Mexico in the 1870's. A lot of the characters were real life people who were involved in the conflict. Young Guns 2 picks up the story with an interesting story involving the possibility Billy the Kid was not killed in the way history books say it occurred.
Jack Palance plays a great bad guy . In the western Shane (one of the great westerns), he plays a vicious gunfighter -a hired killer. The movie is seen through the eyes of a 10-year-old boy
You MUST watch 'Young Guns II' to finish the story of Billy the Kid. It's one of those instances where the sequel is even better. And much of this is based is adapted from real events. BTW, stars Emilo Estevez and Charlie Sheen are real life brothers.
I just recently learned that this movie is historically accurate for the most part. The events in the movie actually happened. Billy killing the guy he thought was a traitor, them getting deputized, the national guard showing up to take them down
Not even close really. Just a few actual facts sprinkled in with a LOT of Hollywood story. Doc lived till he was 80 years old. Chavez went to jail then moved to CA. Brian Kieths character actually had been trying to surrender and was working with the regulators to turn himself in. Young Guns 2 shot down ANY credibility with historians.
I’m not sure where you get that Far more deaths in the Hollywood version Just an example Lawrence Murphy died of cancer not by being shot by Billy According to history Billy shot 21 men in his life Only 3 died
This film covers a lot of actual history - how Mr. Tunstall (an Englishman) provided home and lodging for runaway boys, how the rivalry between his operation and Murphy's lead to Tunstall's ambush, the boys were deputized to arrest the murderers and began a process of revenge against Murphy. That was the beginning of the short career of Billy the Kid. Several other members of the Regulators are based on real people, as is the lawyer and his wife who attempt to support Tunstall. Even the gun battles and who was killed at each are based on historic reports - who was killed, and where it happened. The more one knows about the life of William H. Bonney (Billy the Kid), the more you can admire about the screenplay, which really stuck closely to the history.
I liked how they kept McCloskey’s motivations ambiguous, because all we have to go on were The Regulators’ testimony. A lot of history to squeeze into a 90 minute film, but they did a wicked good job with it
They did leave out how Brady stole Billy’s beloved Winchester, and got shot recovering it during the incident. Glad they included the bounty hunter story, though
Young Guns was a lot of fun! The scene where Billy turns his back to Pat Garrett, it was a brilliant scene because Billy The Kid was shot in the back and killed by Pat Garrett.
I loved this movie when it came out. Posse is a great black western. Emilio and Charlie are brothers the sons of actor Martin Sheen. Martin changed his Hispanic last name to Sheen. One son kept it and the other changed his to the same as his dad’s. 3 great actors!
Besides Coming to America, have they reacted to any movies produced or directed by black people? Even that movie wasn't directed by a black person. It's about time they checked out a Spike Lee joint.
34:55 This story takes place entirely in New Mexico, per the historical events surrounding the Lincoln County War from 1878 to July 14, 1881 (the date when Billy the Kid was killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett at Fort Sumner in New Mexico).
The story of Billy the Kid is just touched on in this movie. If you are very interested in old west history and Billy the Kid, see Chisum (starring John Wayne) and then travel to Fort Sumner New Mexico (Billy's grave) and then go south to Lincoln. There you will see the Courthouse that Billy shot his way out of (you can still see the bullet holes in the walls). Capitan is close by. Secondly Brushy Bill Roberts tried to claim he was Jessie James before he claimed he was Billy the Kid in order to make money selling his story.
That is nothing more than a con artist and a charlatan who uses common knowledge and insider information from people to further his lies.
You sound very easily lead.
I have a bridge for sale if your interested..
Young Guns 2 is a masterpiece . 👍
Agreed
Slater is awesome.
I was working as a truck driver once upon a time, and drove past the John Tunstall murder site, and started geeking out. My co-driver didn't know why I was so excited. I was like, "John Tunstall, the Lincoln County War, Young Guns, Billy the Kid? Don't you know anything?" Sucked I was working, and didn't get to look around
Emilio Estevez has my favorite laugh. Makes me smile every time I hear it.
Youngs Guns 2 is my favorite. I think you guys seen clips of it in the Blaze Of Glory video by Jon Bon Jovi. Such a great movie. 😊
80's kid, me and my friends would yell "regulators"!!! while riding our bikes 😂
We yelled that in college!❤️
that is amazing and my child self is so jealous that I never thought of it!!
Same!!🤣🤣❤❤
Me too!!!
@Exor840 nah, you just complain a lot and were too dumb to get the deeper points in film for the era. You got random rhetoric about commies in your youtube bio lol this trash controls you, get a life and be happy like everyone else lol
A few notable young actors here. Charlie Sheen at this time was probably best known for his role in "Platoon," though he'd also been in "Red Dawn" and "Wall Street." Lou Diamond Phillips for in "La Bamba" (early rock bio). Emilio Estevez for "The Outsiders" and "The Breakfast Club," and later on "The Mighty Ducks." And Kiefer Sutherland was known for "The Lost Boys."
Martin Sheen is the famous actor father of Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Donald Sutherland is the famous actor father of Kiefer Sutherland.
FINALLY you have Young Guns. So now you will have to watch Young Guns 2 which is what the song Blaze of Glory by John Bon Jovi is from that reacted to earlier this year. You were curious about the video having movie clips.
After you watch part 2 it will have come full circle.
Have a great weekend. 👍🤞
I was just going to say that. 😊 they loved that song. 👋
My favorite line in a move ever… “did you guys see the size of that chicken?” 😂😂😂
Mine too. Sometimes I just blurt it out lol
"That cock a doodle God d*mn doo!!"
Mine is he ain't all there is he 😂
Cock a doodle goddamn do!
Billy "Hey Pepin i see you got Charlie Crawford down there with ya"
Pepin " Yeah we got a whole lot of ..."
BAM !!!
Pepin " OMG ... DAMN"
Billy "Hey Pepin ... Charlie Crawford ain't with you anymore" 😁😁😁
The cast in Young Guns was a mix of new stars at the time, and veteran stars:
- Emilio Estevez (Billy the Kid) - The Breakfast Club, The Mighty Ducks Trilogy
- Kiefer Sutherland (Doc Scurlock) - The Lost Boys, Stand By Me, 24
- Lou Diamond Phillips (Chavez) - La Bamba, Longmire
- Charlie Sheen (Dick Brewer) - Platoon, Wall Street, Two and a Half Men
- Dermot Mulroney (Dirty Steve) - My Best Friend’s Wedding
- Casey Siemasko (Charlie Bowdre) - Three o’clock High, Back to the Future Parts 1 & 2 (as 3-D)
- Terry Quinn (Alex McSween) - The Stepfather, Tombstone, Lost
- Jack Palance (L.G.
Jon had a cameo in it to. He gets shot and killed tho.
Another famous actor Brian Keith (Buckshot Roberts} the Bounty hunter that killed Dick. He played the father in the 1960's show "A Family Affair" and played Sally Fields stuntman father in the movie "Hooper"
Pat Garrett was played by Patrick Wayne, the son of Movie legend John Wayne.
Wow, that’s very detailed for even me to remember all of that! Thank you 😊
You need to watch young guns 2 !!!!
Unforgiven and Pale Rider are two great westerns to watch next. Both with Clint Eastwood.
Random fact: Tom Cruise appears as an extra in this film. He’s one of the gang that surrounds the home at the end.
Bon Jovi is also an extra in the pit at the beginning of pt 2
I always heard Tom Cruise was in the first movie, but I never knew which scene.
Thanks for the info.
I never knew that and seen this a lot of times.
Young Guns 2 is the best and has Bon Jovi on the soundtrack🤠👍...trust me, ya'll are gonna love it
3 fantastic Westerns:
"Man from Snowy River" is exceptional, "Silverado" with a very young Kevin Costner and Danny Glover is hilarious, an "Pale Rider" is a Clint Eastwood underrated classic.
You both will love them all.
Definitely Pale Rider. " And I Looked & Behold A Pale Horse: And His Name That Sat Upon Him Was Death, And All Hell Followed With Him"
Pale rider is my favorite western because so much is unexplained. One of the few mysterious westerns I have come across.
@@johnhamilton748 That line is in Tombstone aswell.
@@jeromysmith2486 Pale Rider is actually pretty much a remake of Shane (Starring Alan Ladd, 1952) with a few character changes, also with elements of High Plains Drifter (Starring Clint Eastwood, 1973).
The Man From Snowy River is such an underrated movie
3:54 - That's actor Terence Stamp, Amber. He played the original on screen General Zod in the 1980 film, Superman II.
Emilio and Charlie are brothers in real life. Emilio was in Breakfast Club. So many young actors that are superstars now! Emilio's character is Billy The Kid.
Was that last sentence really necessary?
Emilio makes this movie and Part 2 as well, which is the best part. His laugh is so infectious. He's also the Jock in The Breakfast club.
And he was the jock in the Breakfast Club
All correct! And in one of the Machete movies Charlie Sheen is actually casted as Carlos Estevez in the credits.
Another great western film for you guys to react to is "3 :10 To Yuma" (2007), starring Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Ben Foster, and Peter Fonda. Excellent film!
Kevin Costner in "Open Range" is a amazing film.
Best modern western movie so far
Great film
You’re all correct.
One of the best movies released in the last 25 years for sure.
Yeah amazing film!
I have a house in Lincoln county. Ruidoso is about where Tunstall died and Lincoln is just almost exactly as it was back then. Courthouse, bullet holes. McSween ruins..different buildings that part 2 mentions. It’s so cool. All the memorabilia. He isn’t a villain.
Young Guns and Young Guns 2 are classic 80s westerns.
They are coming out with Young Guns 3, but I think they need to call it Old Guns, this late in the game. 😂
For sure, they really should name it that.
According to IMDb, it's now just being called Guns 3.
Young Guns II came out in 1990.
"the mighty duck man himself, I was like Emiliooo!" -Night at the Roxberry
Another FUN FACT: They are working on "Young Guns 3 : Alias Billy the Kid" .. it's in pre-production right now. Emilio is writing/directing it and staring in it as well as Lou Diamond Phillips (Chavez) and another person returning (From Young Guns 2 Christian Slater) .. So yeah.. Hope you watch Young Guns 2.. it's also great!!
Uh how is Chavez in YG3? This is the old west, not the modern era and they can't bring ppl back Fast & the Furious style.
@@shootingreal5945 There are reasons! They wouldn't do it if it didn't make sense lol
@@shootingreal5945think outside of that box. People can have many adventures in their lives before death.
@@chrispruett81They all died except Billy in YG2,lol. Not bloody likely.
The word young is not going to be in the title. It's going to be called ' Guns 3: alias Billy the kid'. No young
The actor Lou Diamond Phillips playing the part of the “Navajo” is the actor that plays the part of Richie Vallens in the movie “La Bomba” !! Great movie!!
Also played in Longmire.
The movie is called "La Bamba"
Jack Palance as the bad guy Murphy got his first Oscar nomination 40 years before he finally won for City Slickers. Billy Crystal co-starred in that and presented him with the award. He went up on stage and did some one handed push-ups saying he was keeping up with the young ones. Y'all would enjoy the heck out of City Slickers a comedy western.
For a good old John Wayne movie I recommend The Cowboys. ❤❤
I loved Jack Palance as the villain Jack Wilson in Shane.
Murphy is also in Chatos Land with Charles Bronson- another Good Western- May I also suggest Breakheart Pass with Bronson also-
YES! The Cowboys is wonderful! and also YES! Jack Palance as a bad guy is great as well
"The Quiet Man" and "McClintock " are my favorite JW movies, but I never saw one I didn't like. "The Cowboys " is great.
I saw Jack Palance at Disney World. He was impressive looking.
Make sure you watch the second movie. It gives more detailed info about Billy the Kid.
ROB SQUAD, AMBER you said the Indian guy was your favorite so far early in the reaction and the actor is Lou Diamond Phillips!
He also played the starring role in the movie "La Bamba" about the life of Ritchie Valens!!
Please react to "La Bamba" at some point!!!❤❤
LDP was awesome with his role in the series "Longmire".
Y'all need to watch Silverado if you haven't. It's a good western with a lot of recognizable people in it.
When Charlie snapped, gave up his fear, and shooting out window yelling maniac, and Billy double-swing his pistols to join...that's an epic scene
Jack Palance is the actor who was the bad guy, he was in a ton of movies over the years.
Check him and Billy Crystal ( When Harry Met Sally) out in the cute , sweet, funny movie:
“CITY SLICKERS “
I am excited for Young Guns 2 now! Blaze of Glory!
Shot down....in a blaze of glory! Bought the soundtrack for that song. Lol
@@walterrutherford8321 Yeah. I could have spent the day listing great Wayne westerns lol. True Grit is up there for sure.
Check out Old Henry with Tim Blake Nelson
One of my all time favorite movies and westerns. I never get tired of watching it. Part 2 is also a great film. A little fact for you guys, the guy that gets shot 43:23 is actually Tom Cruise.
Another fun fact the monologue that Charlie says at 2:39 was used as the intro to Warren G's song "Regulate".
Amber, Bad Girls is another really good western that is kinda like this one, except the main characters are women. It stars Drew Barrymore and Madeline Stowe. I think you guys would really enjoy it also. 😊
Lou Diamond Phillips played Chavez. I had a massive crush on him. He’s on Twitter now and is a beautiful soul through and through.
He played Richie Valens in the movie "La Bamba".

The better version but was basically recently remade with Charlie Day and Ice Cube fist fight movie.
Cult classic teen movie.
3 o clock high was a trip... good teen movie for the time 😁
Dont fuck this up Mitchel
@@marvel7146 Interesting, but this movie was pre-internet, so people only had 1 or 2 versions of history, depending on how many people they heard it from. 😁
@@clh35 Yes I know the movie was pre-internet. I saw this movie in the theater when it came out when I was a teenager. I grew up in a small town, so the theater was full of friends from school. Good times. The 80's were great.
Keifer Sutherlands best role to me was when he played in 24. I don't think you react to TV shows but Jay, 24 is a must watch for you. The suspense, twists and turns and overall quality of that show is insane.
Even if you don't react to it, I highly recommend giving it a watch.
32:10 It's not said in the movie itself, but Casey Siemaszko (Charlie) said during an audio commentary of this movie that the scene between him and the Prostitute was supposed to longer and that he revealed to the guys in a deleted scene that she was actually his mother that had given him up as a child.
When she said, “I thought Charlie was going ro see someone special”, I was shaking my head.
This was filmed in New Mexico where I live. Quite a few of our local cowboys played extras during the filming. The ugly horses were provided by a horse trader that lived in my town. I was watching this with my husband one night and commented 'I wonder where they got all these ugly horses.' Then I was like, 'Never mind. I know where they came from.'
I can't believe there wasn't even a hint of Warren G recognition from rap fan Jay at 2:39!
That's what I was thinking too
Wish I can like your comment 100xs.😂
He even said "Mount up" at 7:13. Something's fishy here.

"We regulate any stealin' of his property
We’re damn good too
But you can’t be any geek off the street
You gotta be handy with the steel, if you know what I mean

The opening credits with the cast looking at the camera and smiling is that of the original teaser trailer to the movie that made its debut in March 1988, a week after production had wrapped.
The opening is Magnificent 7 lite. It is great.
The escape at the end with Billy the Kid coming out in a chest, getting shot a couple of times but escaping, actually happened.

Buckshot Roberts, the bounty hunter was played by the actor Brian Keith who happened to play the father in the original Parent Trap (1961).
He was also Uncle Bill on the 60's tv series Family Affair
Brian Keith is a phenomenal actor.
From what I've read, the woman that Charlie goes to see, is his mother. This makes sense, since he just wanted to hold her.
"SILVERADO" ANOTHER STAR STUDDED WESTERN👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
YES!! Kevin Kline, Danny Glover, Jeff Goldblum, Kevin Costner!! It's one of my faves, too...
YES!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
PLEASE WATCH YOUNG GUNS 2 ALSO!!!!
I’m not sure where you get that
Far more deaths in the Hollywood version
Just an example
Lawrence Murphy died of cancer not by being shot by Billy
According to history Billy shot 21 men in his life
Only 3 died
@@rmac8008 We'll call it 10. 😝
It's not very accurate. Tunstill was a young man from England getting funding from his father. Not a father figure. Among many other things.
Also, to add to your facts, the characters in the movie are based on reall people
Also I love this movie lol seen it like 1000 times
REGULATORSSSSSS!!!!! mount up.
Fun fact, the song "Regulate" by Warren G. The spoken part at the beginning. Was taken from
Young guns. It was Charley talking to Billy
34:55 This story takes place entirely in New Mexico, per the historical events surrounding the Lincoln County War from 1878 to July 14, 1881 (the date when Billy the Kid was killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett at Fort Sumner in New Mexico).
Some great westerners to watch:
High Noon 1952
Shane 1953
Rio Bravo 1959

The story of Billy the Kid is just touched on in this movie. If you are very interested in old west history and Billy the Kid, see Chisum (starring John Wayne) and then travel to Fort Sumner New Mexico (Billy's grave) and then go south to Lincoln. There you will see the Courthouse that Billy shot his way out of (you can still see the bullet holes in the walls). Capitan is close by. Capitan has the Smokey the Bear museum (Smokey survived a forest fire, became the object of safe camping "Only you can prevent forest fires" and lived out his days in the National Zoo in Washington DC). While you are in the area, go to Roswell and see the UFO museum (the 1947 UFO crash happened north of Roswell).
