OJ's first movie was The Klansman in 1974, with Richard Burton, Lee Marvin, & Lola Falana. That same year he was part of the large all-star cast disaster movie The Towering Inferno, a huge hit at the time. My favorite movie with him in it, apart from the Naked Gun trilogy, is The Cassandra Crossing (1977), with really cheesy dialogue but a wonderful cast and story. Unfortunately, OJ was a terrible actor, contributing nothing of value to any of these movies; he fine in the Naked Gun movies because he only had to do slapstick, not anything requiring acting talent. He has one scene in the first episode of Roots, which was specially written for him because he asked to be in the show, and the makers of the miniseries felt they couldn't say no to him; they should have said no, as his performance is wooden and the scene does not help advance the story in any way.

When they were on the stakeout they were eating pistachio nuts. Back then most pistachios were imported and people used to think a blemish on the shell mean't the nut inside was bad so companies coated them in red or green powder to cover up blemishes. Now that most of our pistachios are grown here in the US companies quit coating them in powders to cover up blemishes.
Ricardo Montebaum used to hawk an automobile with "FINE CORINTHIAN LEATHER" my little brothers used to crack us up with their suave & d'bon aire accents. Silly they kept everyone young and old in stitches. My baby brother is now 65. Imagine that.
I remember some of my high school chums singing Al Yankovic's "My Bologna" back in 1980. Weird Al had not hit it big, but somehow they had heard of him.
21:30 Those are old-fashioned pistachios. Most pistachios that were imported into the US prior to the late 90s used to have a red dye powder all over them to mask imperfections on the nuts and shells. This would lead to getting the dye all over your fingers and lips after cracking open the shells. As the early 2000s rolled around, the United States became the second largest supplier for Pistachios and now almost all Pistachios sold in the US (97% or so) come from California. So most places around the country haven't experienced dyed pistachios in 20-30 years. It has been at least 25 years since I've seen them here.
At the car chase in the opening credits, I was already laughing loud at the theater, when I first saw this movie! 😂 Great fun thru the entire running time!!!! Good choice, guys!!!! 👍
The red nuts were pistachios …back in the day all pistachios were dyed red and when you pulled the shell apart that red would transfer to your fingers and lips

It’s amazing they didn’t know that.. I feel so old sometimes 😊
@@brl0522 same
Yeah, they stopped dyeing pistachio shells soon after this movie.
@@brl0522 None of the modern reactors know what those are.
That’s Pryscila Presley… Elvis’ widow.. 😮
I already know, this gonna be GOOD!
Leslie Nielsen was/is simply the BEST at silly comedy with his straightlaced deliveries. Also, once y'all enjoy this gem, 2 1/2 & 33 1/3 are more than worth a watch. Thank you for bringing the fun to TH-cam!
And the “Police Squad!” series!
"Ted! Why!" 🤣🤣 Also, John Houseman as the driving instructor was genius.
Livia Soprano was on the Police Squad and Tony never new about it !
You guys are two of my favorite reactors on TH-cam. You're very genuine, and it's fun watching you play off each other.
Retired yankees shortstop Derek Jeter said when he first joined the Yankees Reggie Jackson would come around the clubhouse sometimes and Derek would go "i...must kill...the queen" Reggie HATED it 😅
😂 😂 😂
Not only were those doughnuts $1.99, they had gluten and transfats in them yummy
It seems like the healthier we try to live (dietary wise) the more health issues we discover. Let’s go back to eating like s--.
when i was little, the grocery store made fresh donuts & they were $3 a dozen
& warm & melted in your mouth & they were sooo good
Well, cops were health-conscious back then - "We gotta stop and investigate - yep, this one's filled with that stuff. What about yours, and the others?" "We gotta check 'em all-!" So conscienctious ! ! !
This is the series that made OJ a movie star.... And he was loved like Mike Tyson is now by everybody..... And then he was driving a white bronco😂😂😂😂
@@richardzinns5676 yeah he was a terrible actor.🤣🤣🤣.... But because he was so loved as a legendary football player... everyone just couldn't get enough of OJ Simpson, not until he got into that white bronco....... And let's not kid ourselves.. like it or not he still lived a pretty good life way better than most... Before prison and after prison.........
@@pharaoh2537 The thing is, I was never a sports fan and never saw him play football until I watched footage of it in a documentary about the murder case. To me, he was simply a Hertz pitchman turned (purported) actor, who didn't belong in the profession. There have obviously been former athletes who became very good actors - think of Alex Karras, or even Arnold Schwarzenegger. But OJ was never one of them.
@@richardzinns5676 yeah, once again.. I never said he was a great actor..... But back then ..it was only a few athletes going into Hollywood. And most of them couldn't act. Now ,some of them like Arnold got better....but he was a fan favorite.... And there's plenty of people that know him as a legendary football player... And Heisman trophy winner...... Because no matter what he's alleged of committing.. which by the way I believe wholeheartedly... Still doesn't take away from his football career... As well as the fact that he remained very comfortable after he got out of prison.......
He is an example of how one can ruin their career. He was doing fine in sports and TV and then it all went into his head and he pissed it all away.
The beautiful woman is Pricilla Presley ! She was beautiful and FUNNY!!!
16:28 The Gent on screen left is John Housemen. Kind of an important figure in theater and film. He pal'd around with Orson Welles.
"Use your open eye, Frank" - Kills me every time LOL
Check out hot shots parts 1 & 2
21:30 Those are old-fashioned pistachios. Most pistachios that were imported into the US prior to the late 90s used to have a red dye powder all over them to mask imperfections on the nuts and shells. This would lead to getting the dye all over your fingers and lips after cracking open the shells. As the early 2000s rolled around, the United States became the second largest supplier for Pistachios and now almost all Pistachios sold in the US (97% or so) come from California. So most places around the country haven't experienced dyed pistachios in 20-30 years. It has been at least 25 years since I've seen them here.
Great reaction, but you must read the end credits too. Lots of fun there!
This was fun to watch with you both. Glad to see you laugh a lot!
I thought you'd seen _Airplane!_ ? That was Leslie Nielsen's first comedic role.
The red nuts they were eating were pistachios, they used to have red dye on them and it made a mess
This may be funniest movie ever. Love it. That lady wasn't a golden girl but the director's mother. She's in all his movies, the lady in Airplane trying to put on makeup for one.
Enrico Palazzo! Enrico Palazzo!
I think this may be my favorite reaction outta BJ ever. Too funny!
Already in the first 14 minutes? You are a good predictor of the future?
I'm 25 mins in now and he's having giggle fits. Just happy to see him enjoying this classic so much 😀
@@greghoenig2207 they were two chickens to include the fabulous, "nice beaver!" line. They did allow some video that didn't get blurred that normally gets blurred. I just can't believe they missed the beaver remark. We're scared to include it you think?
@@RockPowerUSA that part was a bummer but the statue part made me think it wasn't outta bein scared. They about died laughing then. Probably just a mistake.
The Naked Gun part 2 (1991) is my favorite out of the franchise
Watchin the amazing reaction from the hurricane 🌀 weather!! Just now getting power back and I had to watch you!! Thank you for helping me smile during this tragic time 🙏🏾🩵💙
A lot of broadcasting greats with small roles in this gem. Movie slapstick at its best. Great casting, writing, acting, editing and actually an intriguing plot line despite all of Frank's bumblings. BJ's O.J. comment "doin what he do" lol. Another great reaction !!
@5:07
😂😂😂 WE luv you!!😂😂,
That was so danm funny Asia❤🤣🤣🤣
The whole series is hysterical. You should watch them all. Great reaction
Shout out from Mexico 🇲🇽 amigos 🥃
They need to watch the three amigos 😂
21:30 Those are pistachio nuts. Back in the day they used to come plain (like today) but most of them seemed to come dyed red, which turned your lips, fingers, and tongue red.
I died when I first saw Frank dismantle Qaddafi, Gorbachev, Idi Amin, Ayatollah Khomeini, & Yassir Arafat back when I saw it in theaters….I’m still cracking up now y’all 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I discovered you two back in February & have been following you ever since. I watched the Naked Gun in the theater & was crying from laughing so much. By the end of the movie the whole audience in the theater applauded. It was hilarious when you two hugged it out along with the scene towards the end.
I thought BJ was going to have to relocate after the "baby skunk" comment LOL! Asia looked like she was getting ready to do a spinning back-kick on BJ after he said that LOL!
RIP Leslie Nielsen. Airplane and the Naked Gun trilogie are worth watching. Love to see you two again and enjoy this movie. I still do, even watching it for several times.
Omgsh. I'm just gonna put the laughing emojis now🤣🤣.
Glad you both are reacting to this classic. This one never gets old. Leslie is a true legend.
Bj!!! You are on point! Asia too! But BJ reacting had me spitting 211Steel Reserve through my nose!!!!!
21:31 Pistachios. They used to dye them red to look fancy. Sometimes you can still find red ones.
The pretty blonde woman who falls in love with Frank is Priscilla Presley. She was Elvis Presley's wife. Google pics of her and Elvis. She had black hair when Elvis was still alive.
20:52 Mark! If I recall correctly, this is a comedic break for her from her dramatic role in the universe of "Dallas" and "Knots Landing"! 🤔
Prescilla played in it elvis ex
She is not an ex, she is his widow.
