I don't know about the health part though...having your dangling ear randomly falling off doesn't seem very good for you, I would think. (Not to mention the mental health aspect.)

This is what my fever hallucinations were like as a child. This is the closest thing I can point to that even begins to describe what fever hallucinations are like. It is terrifying. Everything is off, even the sound and that's what really makes this the closest analogue of an auditory hallucination.
I grew up just over the hills from this broadcast area at that time, and had no idea it existed until seeing it on Screenwipe, and for that we thank the Lord.

I saw Doug The Dog in person. Unfortunately.
You'd think after 20 years he'd have learned to match what he's saying with his puppets' mouths. I've seen better lip syncing on thrift store Teddy Ruxpins loaded with Mega Deth cassettes.
This show is actually a "legitimate" Christian Science show that runs in the USA. While they may be quite different from other Christian Science folks, they're not kidding. Look them up. Mentally hilarious.
Unfortunately Doug Nyman gets one thing wrong. Adam Papagan (who ran for governor of California) and is in the video as an alien didn’t join until at least the late 00s. He would have been ~10yrs old in 1996. Maybe he misremembered or it was cut to inaccurately present information? David Liebe Hart is currently a close associate of Tim & Eric on Adult Swim :)
I suspect it's closer to the latter. Nyman says that the show has been running for 20+ years, so either he's been following it, or the producers got hold of a few modern episodes for the show and asked Nyman to commentate on them. The difference between the 1996 episode and the recent one got lost in the edit.
