    Dr. Ken, it’s been an interesting Thanksgiving. Been on carnivore for 5 months while following you and Neisha. Dropped down to my high school weight. Being so trim I noticed a strong pulsing near my navel. It turned out to be a large aortic aneurism. Went into surgery the day before thanksgiving for insertion of a stent. I’m recovering. You two saved my life. Heavier as I was I never would have noticed the aneurism. Needless to say I’m grateful for my life thanks to you two.

    Thank you for doing a video on this topic. I experienced this problem after taking Prilosec (omeprazole) for 6+ weeks (doc recommended it, I have nighttime heart burn). He didn't believe the medicine caused it, but I had no issues after going off the medicine (and the problem came back after being back on for a while). With some online research I discovered it was a rare side effect. Since these kind of medications are usually things older people take I'm left wondering how many people get ED from them and just assume it's something that naturally happened to them because they got older.

    • @Jewlz4ever
      @Jewlz4ever 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Heart burn medication only makes heartburn worse in the long run. Heart burn is cause by LOW stomach acid, so it does not reach the sphincter at the top of the stomach to trigger it to stay closed.

    • @MrKozanitis
      @MrKozanitis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Jewlz4ever exactly! That's why a diet that includes Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is so helpful with heartburn; I started on a low carb diet (KETO) that includes ACV and my chronic heartburn (I had it since I was seventeen yrs old; I am now 73) disappeared and I am heartburn-free for the last three years! Plus, to boot, I lost twenty two pounds!

      You can begin Keto with or without fasting, it's up to you, however, expect that fasting will likely bring out the transition or, withdrawal from carbs quicker, but will likely also pass quicker. The suggestion to do Keto first is so that you can be "fat adapted" first, so when you do fast your body knows where to find the fuel it needs, so then your fast will go smoothly. That said, if you have already been doing fasting, then go for it, fast and break your fast with your first Keto meal.
