Homemade Lathe Rails Going To Work Part2
Hello TH-camr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 My work is going great! I've got lack of time to edit my videos but my CNC project i'm doing now seems to be almost ready! Maybe it is a good moment for you to invest into a milling machine? :)

I went to the main City but I can't find out this perhaps I went wrong.
I order some gear rack and gear seem a crazy because I am not sure of this.

Yeah that's pretty big downside to that design its not adjustable and its hard to get flat and parallel without a mill. At some point you will have to make a straight edge and buy a dial indicator. You can use HSS to make a surface scraper but you will have to sharpen it more often than carbide.

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 I don't have my milling bed made but I'm still working on the milling head and saving up for some steel. You want to make a decant milling machine before you make a lathe. TH-cam channel First Chip makes a pretty good budget milling machine that works well and I'm making my design around that.
