Homemade Lathe Bed part2 ( New projects second lathe )
Hello TH-camr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.
I hope you all enjoying my new lathe from part 1.

Lovely you are positive I will try my best. My concern is a rail for carriage moving because I don't have a slider cut or grinder.
      Let me see first
      Thanks

You can take 2x2inch square steel or square tubing and set them edge up and mount them on adjustable block that bolt into the 2x2. The base is going to be a strong square frame to hold the blocks straight and allow the blocks to be adjustable. That's how I'm going to build my future milling machine and the travel is going to be amazing. I'll be cutting hole lathe beds with it.

Thank you for your introduction I will try my best I thinking about this but don't have have enough equipment but I will

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 The hole Idea of this method is to eliminate as many tools that you need and maximize accuracy with more adjustability. you also can take the 2x2 parallels off the blocks and do a 3 surface method with them and put them back on without messing it up by welding it.

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 O yeah I should tell you the blocks that hold the parallels can be held in place with Angle iron bolted to it. you will need a drill bit and a thread tap to do it. Than you can weld that angle iron to a block design of your choice. You also need to have some space for the carriage to clamp to the 2x2 parallels because the under space will be shared with the angle iron.
