Thanks so much, Tom. The 54 Chevy you built for me is a big hit on Facebook in the couple of model groups I'm a member of. Yesterday was a 50s era theme. Many kind compliments on your work.
Me too. I'm going to try a new battery tomorrow and then a new starter on Monday, even if this one turns out to be OK, but I don't think so at this point. Thanks for stopping by.
Everyone was Thinking Real Hard and loud "2 nuts and back the stud out George". Is that area of the Cam just greased for the pin,or does it need a seal/o-ring?
The cam is oiled from inside, since this is a full pressure oiling system, but I did put some white lithium grease on it for assembly. Yeah, I could have double nutted it, but...oh well. Thanks Bry
0.020" seems to be the magic points gap for a lot of small engines. My old Wisconsins included. Wishing you success on this George!
Thank you Matt. This is a common specification for small engines
Good job on the points swap. I agree with you that starter doesn't sound happy. Looking forward to seeing and hearing it run!
You and me both! Thanks Bob
Looking forward to seeing how it works. It should work great 👌😁👍
I'm hoping it will run well. This Onan is superior in several ways to the B&S, with full pressure oiling, better carburetors and more. Thanks Lloyd
🚂Cool demo & Hi from Michigan 👍
Thank you Gary.
Nice setup on those points George. Too bad the old starter just ain't what she used to be. LOL
Well, I bought a new battery today, so we'll give that a whirl and then a new starter will be here on Monday I expect. Thanks Doug
Oh so close to starting. Maybe the Starter will do the trick !
We are going to try a new battery tomorrow, since the new starter won't be here until Monday. Here's hoping! Thanks Norman
Making progress George

Waiting to see how it works

Looking forward to it!
Thank you Chris

it don't really sound like a faulty starter.
We shall see. I bought a new battery today, but I still have a new starter coming too. Thanks Vernon
@@TheShadeTreeFixitMan it could be the starter, they can act odd sometimes.
