So awesome to see you working on that. Your shop is so organized! I wish could keep mine that well organized but I do not have that gene I suppose...lolI am waiting for someone to get back from vacation to purchase a model A frame that I am going to use for my 1928 Morgan build.I believe I am going to use an opposed Briggs like yours and try and find a supercharger or turbo for my build. I still have to start my channel...
I wouldn't call you a big dummy. Just some problems and over sights. Some of them not your fault. I hate the sprocket didn't work and is to small. I'm sure there has to be a happy medium between the two you have. I hope the 5 speed works ok with this engine. You sure have a lot of tools packed into that small space. Thanks to all those who have served and fought for our great country. God Bless all of you!
it might be better to go back to the original sprocket, it should be easier on the centrifugal clutch. lol I just said that and you said the very same thing..
I'm going to be counting teeth tomorrow (Monday) and make a decision then. I will also be tearing the transmission down to see what broke. I have my suspicions.
You are right, overcoming the inertia is the issue, so lowering the gear ratio is what is needed. I'll be counting teeth to decide whether or not to go back to the last gear. Thanks
Think motorcycle. It will not overheat because it will be moving through the air at higher rates of speed. This is NOT a lawnmower.. Thanks for stopping by. I have proved this principle again and again in the past.
@@TheShadeTreeFixitMan The fins aren't big enough. I've been working on those engines for 25 years. As long as you're moving at a good rate of speed you'll probably be ok,but sitting and idling, or tugging around slow,it will overheat. The fins aren't big enough to sink the heat out.
The computer demons got me, I have lost all of my subscriptions. I remembered your name and a few others. I am looking for a subscription for Eford Garage, I'm not sure of the spelling, I think his name is Terry' if you have this info could you list it for me? Thanks.

You can do it! Let me know when you start posting videos and I'll come over and then give you a shoutout too. Thanks
@@TheShadeTreeFixitMan Thank you Dan!!! Next week I am going to pick up that frame. Talk to you later my friend.

OH NO !!!!
Oh no is right!
You will get it George, enjoy your Memorial day, 🇺🇸✌️
Thank you Tom and you as well.
Hang in there, Sir. If anyone can figure it out, it's you.
Thank you so much

Hate you had a fail but that’s why you have tests. Good luck figuring it out
We got it! Stay tuned for a video update. Thanks Lloyd
Hey George. Sorry things didn't go well. I wondered if maybe that sprocket might be a bit much for your setup. You'll get it figured out I'm sure. :)
Thank you Doug, this sprocket is why I switched to the one I just took off. It wasn't horsepower, but clutch engagement.
Bumps in the road are just how we learn more . . To bad on the transmission
I have my suspicions on what is wrong. We'll see tomorrow?
@@TheShadeTreeFixitMan Maybe a sheered keyway ?
Wanted to ask you George where did you get the exit sign hanging above the goofy shop door
Dumpster!
I know you’ll get it figured out , trial and error are all part your eventual success. Have a great weekend George.
RR
Thank you so much. We'll be tearing into it real soon.
No matter what it’s cool looking
You know the old saying, "If it don't go, chrome it!" Well, I can't afford too much chrome, so we'll just have to figure this out again. Thanks
Hi George how are you ? I was thinking if a atv rear diff would work better ? Seems to me your having nothing but issues.
That's part of the fun is overcoming the issues. This is an exercise in seeing if we can do it or not. Thanks for stopping by.
Well, fooey! I'm sure it's something simple with the transmission, thankfully you have that other one handy.
Between the 2 I think we can get it fixed again. Thanks
Boy, old Goofy really has been fighting you. I wonder if a heavy duty racing clutch will work better?
This is a heavy duty clutch on it now, we just need to get the gear ratio right, or stop driving up hills...LOL
You are right, overcoming the inertia is the issue, so lowering the gear ratio is what is needed. I'll be counting teeth to decide whether or not to go back to the last gear. Thanks
Your NOT a dummy stuff happens when your building custom projects. Looks good. Inductive tach works good like Trail Tech Vapor. Keep trusting God
Thanks for the tips! I appreciate it.
Chin up George You’ll get it
Thank you Greg
Gotta have a shroud, and the fan. It will overheat, and drop the valve seats otherwise.

That is not a familiar name to me at all. Glad you are here and sorry for your loss.
