If this gets your news/traffic juices flowing, I've put together some super affordable sounder packages. News & Traffic Sounder 5-Packs are now available in my lil' radio shop: ko-fi.com/radiodjdude/shop
Just when i thought there could be no more tricks!!! The Houdini of Radiodj, radiodjdude has something else up his sleves!! Thank you so much dude!!!🎉🎉🎉
My issue with the FSN News track is that sometimes, too often for comfort, they leave a log silence at the end. In other words, the mp3 is not cut, or edited, and so the news reads end, but there is a long trailing silence. Radio DJ would faithfully play the entire file, silence and all, which really ruins the flow. This is why I stopped using FSN. I often wonder if there is a silence detector in RadioDJ when playing mp3's such as this, I also wonder if RoboIntern has an option for this, else it remains a problem.
Yes, that is a problem! In my next vid, I will share an automated workflow that not only automates audio processing, but can trim excess silence. Stay tuned!
Add deleting silence on the beginning and end of your track to you audacity macro and use this command, I added it already to the comments of this video: It's simple to run your sound processing. 1. Create your macro in audacity. 2. Create a .ps1 file (ex. audacity-marco.ps1). 3. Add this code to the .ps1 file: # Path to Audacity executable $audacityPath = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Audacity\audacity.exe" # Path to the macro file $macroPath = "C:\Path\to\Your\Macro.mac" # Start Audacity with the macro Start-Process -FilePath $audacityPath -ArgumentList "/macro=$macroPath" 4. Make sure to enable PowerShell execution if you haven't already by running Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned in PowerShell with administrative privileges. 5. Add an automated task to your RoboIntern to run the .ps1 file 6. Enjoy your processed audio.
Thank you! Unfortunately, the code didn't work for me. Looking into it, it seems macros need to be opened within the app vs by code. Plus, your code doesn't open the actual audio file...unless I'm missing something. I'm far from a credible coder. :) However, I did create a PS script that does open an audio file and run the macro (audio processing and truncate silence). I'm going to share in an upcoming video.@@cabanu
@@RadioDJDude or, add the file to the Powershell. @@RadioDJDude you can add to your macro to open a folder and process all files in the folder. That's the way to go.
