It's nice to see another rainy climate being filmed, it's dry enough to film. This is a lovely and charming place. Lots of tourists as you say, likely even more when it's sunny. Hotel Gruner Baum looks beautiful in its location alone. It must be nice inside. Along your hike there are nice places to look out and enjoy the view. The old mine is really interesting. Nice! 👍👍🌳🌳
Hallstatt does suffer from over tourism and even tho it was raining, it was very busy. Making the hike uo left those tourists behind. Luckily a few stairs are often enough to get away from the biggest tourist hordes. A shame about the weather, but the are is incredibly beautiful. I get why so many people visit this city, even on rainy days like this.
Hallstatt is renowned for its hordes of tourists. Tho I find most tourists are lazy and tend to stick with the easy options. Even with the bad weather the view from the top was pretty decent.

Hi Kenn, Hallstatt is awesome but I didn't get the best weather. I had all that in Germany. Depending how you get there. I assume from Munich. The best way to get to Hallstatt is the train from Munich to Salzburg and then the 150 bus from outside the train station to Bad Ischl. From Bad Ischl then get a train or bus to Hallstatt. If you get the train you have to take the ferry across the lake to Hallsattt. I'm glad you enjoyed the hike. Thanks for watching. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul
Hello Paul this is a good idea. Option for us from Salzburg then Munich but maybe we try to get this way as your tips. We have only 4 days to explore and maybe we removed the Munich if ever. Have a great day 👍 again.

Damn tourists 😂 Yeah Banff was very expensive but superb all the same. I do wish I'd been vlogging back then. Better late than never tho huh. So atmospheric in this weather. I bet a lot of these visitors have all been to the replica too! Gosh the rivers and falls have seen a lot of rain! Perfect day for this hike, i imagine this is as quiet as it ever gets! The locals must have to put up with a lot, serves them right! 😂 the viewing platform is stunning, albeit rammed! 👍
I reckon on a hot Summers day you'd have to queue a while to get a decent spot on the Skywalk. The week before I was there the locals were protesting. Hallstatt is pretty awesome tho. Looked to be an easy peasy leg stretch up that hill for you Paul 😂 It looked great, no one about as they were all being lazy taking the train up haha but what views you got which I dare say they didn’t. Fabulous sights over the town and across the lake. When you reached the top,…. well proves it’s not just in Scotland & The Lake District that the clag is down sometimes 😮 but actually, must have been wonderful & sooo atmospheric being up there in the clouds, it still looked amazing and what a fantastic feeling to be out on the Skywalk … awesome… well done 👍 😃
This one wasn't a tough climb at all and pretty easy. I've done way worse as you can imagine. I take the train up in the latest video 😂 Still managed to get some decent views from the Skywalk considering the weather. I'd have much preferred to have been up the mountains tho. Even in the rain its so beautiful Paul and well worthy of its world heritage view status. The walk you did was gorgeous along the waters edge and I loved those Swan boats 😃 Such a beautiful village, the houses were soooo pretty. The view from the top as you climbed the stairs was stunning and at the skywalk even though it wasn't clear you could tell how beautiful it was and even busy despite the rain. Hi Paul, raining again and busy for you. Love the swan boats. Beautiful building s around the market square. Gosh the water rushing by through the side of the buildings amazing. We've been to Banf in Canada went to the hot springs and saw the glacier. We went in the hotel by the glacier for a meal. Beautiful views up the mountain. A nice walk up the path amongst the trees. It is beautiful up at the Sky Walk. At least you managed 2 seconds on the end of the skywalk. Lovely video take care x Julie and Tony x
Hi Julie and Tony, yeah I didn't get the best weather in Hallstatt. You can tell it had been raining a lot with all the water flow. I wish I had been vlogging when I went for a long trip to Canada, including Banff. I even ran the half marathon in Banff. This hike was the first time I've hiked with an umbrella 😂 Considering the weather i got some super views from the Skywalk. I figured taking more than 2 seconds with the all those beady eyes of the queue on me that I might have ended up over the side 😂 Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul

If there weren't so many people around, it would be a great backdrop for a movie set. Yes the hotels in Banff are very expensive, but that is a gorgeous place too! Take care. Hi Anita, with all the people queuing and watching me I didn't feel comfortable hogging the end of the Skywalk for too long and it was raining. The rain sure gave it a different feel. Most of the people at the Skywalk came up on the funicular, which is why it was busy. I wish I had been vlogging when I went to Banff as it is beautiful. I ran the half marathon there and it was the most scenic one I'd ever ran, by far. Anyway started to vlog my travels now so better late than never. Thank you so much for watching. Very nice location. Did you mention frozen filmed there cute streets. Nice Market square shame it was raining. Still quite busy with tourists. So many nice views on the way too the top cool looking houses mind the cat 🐈. Cool woodland pathway to the skywalk. There was no place to stop for beer unless I took some with me but did have some later on. And you know me too well cos ice and snow wouldn't stop me. It's nice to see another rainy climate being filmed, it's dry enough to film. This is a lovely and charming place. Lots of tourists as you say, likely even more when it's sunny. Hotel Gruner Baum looks beautiful in its location alone. It must be nice inside. Along your hike there are nice places to look out and enjoy the view. The old mine is really interesting. Nice! 👍👍🌳🌳
Hallstatt does suffer from over tourism and even tho it was raining, it was very busy. Making the hike uo left those tourists behind. Luckily a few stairs are often enough to get away from the biggest tourist hordes. A shame about the weather, but the are is incredibly beautiful. I get why so many people visit this city, even on rainy days like this.
Hallstatt is renowned for its hordes of tourists. Tho I find most tourists are lazy and tend to stick with the easy options. Even with the bad weather the view from the top was pretty decent.

Hi Kenn, Hallstatt is awesome but I didn't get the best weather. I had all that in Germany. Depending how you get there. I assume from Munich. The best way to get to Hallstatt is the train from Munich to Salzburg and then the 150 bus from outside the train station to Bad Ischl. From Bad Ischl then get a train or bus to Hallstatt. Hello Paul this is a good idea. Option for us from Salzburg then Munich but maybe we try to get this way as your tips. We have only 4 days to explore and maybe we removed the Munich if ever. Have a great day 👍 again.

So atmospheric in this weather. I bet a lot of these visitors have all been to the replica too! Gosh the rivers and falls have seen a lot of rain! Perfect day for this hike, i imagine this is as quiet as it ever gets! The locals must have to put up with a lot, serves them right! 😂 the viewing platform is stunning, albeit rammed! 👍
I reckon on a hot Summers day you'd have to queue a while to get a decent spot on the Skywalk. The week before I was there the locals were protesting. Hallstatt is pretty awesome tho. Looked to be an easy peasy leg stretch up that hill for you Paul 😂 It looked great, no one about as they were all being lazy taking the train up haha but what views you got which I dare say they didn’t. Fabulous sights over the town and across the lake. When you reached the top,…. well proves it’s not just in Scotland & The Lake District that the clag is down sometimes 😮 but actually, must have been wonderful & sooo atmospheric being up there in the clouds, it still looked amazing and what a fantastic feeling to be out on the Skywalk … awesome… well done 👍 😃
This one wasn't a tough climb at all and pretty easy. I've done way worse as you can imagine. I take the train up in the latest video 😂 Still managed to get some decent views from the Skywalk considering the weather. I'd have much preferred to have been up the mountains tho. Even in the rain its so beautiful Paul and well worthy of its world heritage view status. The walk you did was gorgeous along the waters edge and I loved those Swan boats 😃 Such a beautiful village, the houses were soooo pretty. The view from the top as you climbed the stairs was stunning and at the skywalk even though it wasn't clear you could tell how beautiful it was and even busy despite the rain. Hi Paul, raining again and busy for you. Love the swan boats. Beautiful building s around the market square. Gosh the water rushing by through the side of the buildings amazing. We've been to Banf in Canada went to the hot springs and saw the glacier. We went in the hotel by the glacier for a meal. Beautiful views up the mountain. A nice walk up the path amongst the trees. It is beautiful up at the Sky Walk. At least you managed 2 seconds on the end of the skywalk. Lovely video take care x Julie and Tony x
Hi Julie and Tony, yeah I didn't get the best weather in Hallstatt. You can tell it had been raining a lot with all the water flow. I wish I had been vlogging when I went for a long trip to Canada, including Banff. I even ran the half marathon in Banff. This hike was the first time I've hiked with an umbrella 😂 Considering the weather i got some super views from the Skywalk. Hi Paul. The Hallstatt Skywalk was very cool and great 2 seconds of fame. I loved your hike in the rain up to the famous skywalk. The views in the rain give the area a bit of a mystical look. If there weren't so many people around, it would be a great backdrop for a movie set. Yes the hotels in Banff are very expensive, but that is a gorgeous place too! Take care. Hi Anita, with all the people queuing and watching me I didn't feel comfortable hogging the end of the Skywalk for too long and it was raining. The rain sure gave it a different feel. Most of the people at the Skywalk came up on the funicular, which is why it was busy. I wish I had been vlogging when I went to Banff as it is beautiful. I ran the half marathon there and it was the most scenic one I'd ever ran, by far. Anyway started to vlog my travels now so better late than never. Thank you so much for watching. Very nice location. Did you mention frozen filmed there cute streets. Nice Market square shame it was raining. Still quite busy with tourists. So many nice views on the way too the top cool looking houses mind the cat 🐈. Cool woodland pathway to the skywalk. Well some people seem to think some of the scenes in Frozen were modeled on Hallstatt. Can you imagine how busy it is when it's not raining. The rain didn't stop me hiking up to the Skywalk tho. There was no place to stop for beer unless I took some with me but did have some later on. And you know me too well cos ice and snow wouldn't stop me.
