Amazing archeological site with the salt preserving organic material. The tram views are spectacular. What a great slide. Interesting that is the reason for the cool clothing. Bronze Age industrialization is an amazing concept. Trains and slides... adult amusement park and salt mine tour. Those views on the deck superb. Thanks for the show and happy day to you👍
Hi Mike, the Hallstatt salt mine was a lot of fun and more enjoyable than I expected. This time I took the funicular with the crowds and to get the views. Of course I had to visit the skywalk whilst there for the views over the lake and mountains. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul
Hi Paul, this Salt mine tour is very interesting and unique ! When you went down the slide twice, I wondered how you would get back to. The view from skywalk is spectacular ! Thanks for wonderful sharing 😊Greeting from Juli 👍
Hi Juli, going down a salt mine is not something I'd normally do but the weather wasn't great for going up the mountains. Having said that the Hallstatt salt mine was a lot more enjoyable than I'd expected and pretty fun too. The skywalk sure was worth another look. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and the captured views. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul
Wow, that's quite the salt mine tunnel!! Watch your head for sure...put on your hardhats! Not so sure that would be one for me, but it sure would be unforgettable!
The Salt mine looked a fun visit, Paul - the slides, the train ride and fancy dress! The sky walk gives some impressive views of the lake and mountains too.
Hi Andy, a mine tour is not something I would normally do but the weather was bad. The Hallstatt salt mine turned out to be better than I expected and a lot of fun with the slides. Had to go check out those lake and mountain views on the way back tho. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul
What an incredible and fun tour. The salt mine is in such a beautiful location, and there is so much to see and do. A unique and fun way to learn, the slides! Thanks for sharing. 👍🪨📽
Going down mines is not something I normally do but the weather was bad so thought why not. The Hallstatt salt mine tour was better than I expected and a lot of fun. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂
Thank you Joking Hermit for always taking us on fun adventures with gorgeous views; and this time the infamous Hallstatt salt mine! Ah....the salt mine tour looks like fun; interesting; my claustrophobia would no doubt kick in, I'll have to settle for a therapy salt cave with essential oils instead. lol Thanks for the share! Happy week!
Hi Tracy, the Hallstatt salt mine tour is not something I'd ordinarily do but with the bad weather I thought I'd give it a go. It was better than I expected and a lot of fun. A salt cave sounds good as well tho. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 🙂👍 The Joking Hermit
Hello from your friends in Naples, Florida. That was an awesome tour! We enjoyed. Thank you for sharing the amazing views with us, have a great week 👍 💯 ❤
Hello Paul, the ride up the mountain looked awesome. Beautiful views at the top. The slide looked fun. The history would have been interesting. It’s a little dark in there. Such lovely views thank you for sharing with us , take care x Julie and Tony x
Hello Julie n Tony, it was a lot easier up the mountain this time going with the crowds. Going down mines isn't something I normally do but the weather was bad. However I found the Hallstatt salt mine quite enjoyable and fun with the slides. It did get a little dark in places. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul
Awesome looking scenery on the way to the Mine cool skywalk again 👌 Good to see inside the old salt mines fun slides and train ride. What an experience. Thanks for sharing the tour and views with us, Hermit Good video 👍
The Hallstatt salt mine isn't the type of place I'd normally be but the weather was bad. It turned out to be a lot better than I expected and a lot of fun. The views at the skywalk were worth visiting again. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂
The Hallstatt salt mine was better than I expected and a lot of fun. Also had to go see those views from the skywalk whilst up there. Thanks for watching 🙂
Fascinating and fun tours Paul... The inside of the mine is crazy cool... But what a relief when you come out at the end on the slide... The views are hard to grasp, they're just so dramatic. Great work Buddy... Thanks for the Tour, Jim ✌️
Hi Jim, going down a mine is not an activity I'd normally do but the weather was bad. The Hallstatt salt mine was better than I expected and pretty fun. The views from the Skywalk are sure worth checking out. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and the captured views. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 👍🙂Paul
thanks you so much for this museum....so amazig you can glide down futur in the history of this Mine. this is a super fantastuc video....really enjoyed it so much....so much to see...thanks for this piece of video art,
I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour of the Hallstatt salt mine. The slides were a lot of fun. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week ahead, my friend 🙂👍
Hi Paul, fabulous views from the Funicular and the top! I went there many, many years ago and remember dressing up in the overalls (at that time they were copies of the historic costumes, complete with hat). It was so much fun riding down the chutes in the mines. I remember it fondly. In fact, all of your Austrian videos have brought back happy memories. I would dearly love to go back there one day. Thank you for another great vlog ❤
Hi Julie n Lucy, I took the lazy way up this time with the crowds on the funicular. The fancy dress you wore does sound fancy. I don't normally do these kinds of things but the weather was bad. The Hallstatt salt mine was more enjoyable than I expected and the mine slides were a lot of fun. I'm glad you have been enjoying my series from Austria cos I have at least one more from there where I manage to get a decent weather day and go up into the mountains 🙂 I also hope to return to the region again one day to visit places I wanted to go to but the weather killed those plans. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍 Paul

Hello Ms Kayak, it seems the comment actually stuck 🙂 I'll have a pint of Guinness 🙂 I'm a pretty chilled out person and don't get flustered too easy so the tunnels were of no bother to me. The air quality seemed pretty good to me and I think you could see some of the equipment to help with that in the video when I was walking down the tunnels. We walked for quite a few minutes down them. The slides were pretty cool and a lot of fun. And oh yeah I took one or two selfies at the skywalk to prove the hermit had been there. Also I can take screen grabs off my GoPro as I film at high res. I hiked up to that point the day before but took the funicular with the "crowds" for the salt mine. The salt mine tour is not something I would normally do but the weather was too bad to be up mountains as there would be no view. Unfortunately I didn't get the best weather while in Hallstatt so may have to go back one day and do the things I couldn't do. However I did get up into the mountains on my final full day. That will be my next video. I got chased by some ladies, well cows 😂 Thank you very much for watching. I hope you're keeping well 🙂👍Paul
Hello Paul 👋. That’s really amazing city 👍. The scenery is beautiful and Funicular view is stunning 👍. Breathtaking views. Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing. Have a great day 👍.
It's not something I would normally do but the Hallstatt salt mine was better than I expected and a lot of fun. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul
Amazing place Paul. Interesting pre history too. Looks a bit claustrophobic though! The views from the Skywalk are incredible!! What a place!! So looking forward to our trip.
Hi Dave, well the weather was bad again so had to do something. To be far the Hallstatt salt mine tour was a lot more enjoyable than I'd expected. The views from the Skywalk are pretty awesome even on a murky day. I hope you get better weather for your trip to Hallstatt than I did. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul
Hi Aishu, thank you very much. I'm doing good. I wish I was busy with travels but mainly busy with work. Tho there are some more travels planned shortly. How are you doing?
Hi Paul well….. well done on this! Being a hermit going around these mines with a large group of people mustn’t have been easy but how much fun was this and what a great bunch! So much to see and learn about this place and the slides and train (mind your head - boy your heads were close to that tunnel roof) and knowing that above you is all that stunning scenery! Wow those views after your mine visit, incredible even when threatening rain! Great video Paul 👍❤️
Hi Nick, Ah I'm actually not too bad in crowds, I just very much prefer not to be in them. Going down mines is not something I would normally do but the weather was bad. It turned out that the Hallstatt salt mine was better than I expected and a lot of fun. Playing it back on video made me realise just how cramped it was in parts. It didn't faze me at the time. The skywalk sure was worth another visit for the views. I sure do hope to go back to the region one day and do the trips I never got to do because of the weather. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul
Aha, you're still going out and about! I wouldn't have a problem going and walking the tunnels, I can stand really straight and tall😂. Wooowahhhhh . Can I bring hardboiled eggs there and pinch some salt? Considering how far industrialization progressed, this mine is still very well-built, or should I assume they did quite a bit of restoration, of course. The Hermit is evolving and getting along with people😂.
HI IJ, yeah I get around 😂 I had to duck a bit in some of those tunnels. Plenty of salt for your eggs in there tho I prefer the Himalayan salt. The mine is well built and has 21 levels I believe. The tour was a lot more fun than I expected. I'm quite sociable, for a hermit, when I need to be. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul
Very interesting salt mine. And lots of activities in the dark and slides and tunnels. Thanks for taking us along in this wonderful place .Fantastic sceneries
The views look fantastic from up at the top! The salt mine looks so funky, like something you'd see in an old film! Its so cool that they built a slides and a train into the mine as well! Loved the sky walk, will definitely have to visit if we are ever near by!
I would not normally do salt mine tours but the weather was bad. It was actually better than I expected and a lot of fun with the slides. Of course while up there I had to visit the skywalk to get those views over the lake and mountains. If you ever get the chance you should visit Hallstatt tho it does get crowded. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍
Wow this was a really cool tour Paul (I’ve heard of this mine and its slides ) Fascinating history but damp good fun too I see 😊👍 The view too from the sky walk (where better this time ) just stunning 🤩 Enjoyed this Paul all the best Simon 🤠👍
Hi Simon, it's not normally something I would do but the weather was bad so needs must. I found the Hallstatt salt mine tour to be a lot better than I'd expected and a lot of fun. The Skywalk is sure worth a visit and had to hog it longer this time to prove the hermit was there. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul
I was really wondering what these overalls were about, before you got to the slide. Also a surprise to see that you are less of a hermit than the channel might suggest 😁. I still prefer the outdoor trips, so I am looking forward to your return to the wainwrights that you already hintend on. Too many people just make me feel stressed, no matter if in person or in a video.
Well I most certainly prefer the outdoor trips myself and would have been had the weather been even OK but it wasn't. Therefore it was needs must for something to do and the Hallstatt salt mine was the pick. To be fair it was a lot better than I expected and quite good fun. I'm hoping to add to my Wainwright tally very soon if the good old British weather allows it 🙂
WOWOWOW Paul, thinking that salt mine was pretty cool...not sure I would have liked being closed in like that...second mine today...Thorken/Kenn was also touring a mine in Germany 😆 honestly how many mine's can a girl take in a day...riding down those slides was pretty awesome...the train out, looked a bit close, thinking if you were extra tall you may have had a problem 😁 Those 360 views from the skywalk will never get old...I could watch it all day...lovely day, no rain ! Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Thanks so much!
Hi Donna, doing mine tour are not something I normally do but the weather was bad again. It turned out to be a lot better than I expected and the slides sure were fun. I'm fairly tall at 6 foot and there was a few places were I needed to mind my head. Also had to go check out the skywalk again. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for taking time to watch. I hope you have a great weeekend 🙂👍Paul
The Hallstatt salt mine tour was a lot of fun and the skywalk for the views had to be visited. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 👍🙂Paul
Hi Paul 👋 I enjoyed the salt mine tour! The slides were a fun addition to the tour 😊 That is a beautiful stair step falls. I loved seeing the scenery at the skybridge again 😊
The Hallstatt salt mine was a lot of fun and a lot better than I expected. I had to go visit the skywalk again while I was there. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching 🙂
Such a gorgeous place Paul, the views from the sky walk are fabulous and it's no wonder you went back again! The historic salt mine must have been amazing to go in and its great that they gave a lot of information. I would love to visit here. Love the views of the mountains . This was great ~ Anna 👍
Hi Anna, Hallstatt certainly is a beautiful place. I'd much rather be in the mountains but the Hallstatt salt mine tour was better than I expected. It was a lot of fun as well as educational. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul
Wow, it's really amazing and mysterious.😍😍 It's overwhelming from the first screen... ...like going up to heaven.. Salt slides, and the means of transportation in the narrow space must be so much fun. 13:03 Fantastic view... I want to fly.😁😁 Thank you so much for introducing me to the wonderful scenery my friend.💖💖
The Hallstatt salt mine was a lot more fun than I expected with the slides. Of course had to go visit the skywalk for those views. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and the views I managed to capture. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂
Sure did look like fun Paul, your new mate on the slide was holding on for dear life 😂 funicular and the train were impressive. I'm surprised they didn't make you wear a helmet on the train. The mine was nice to visit, but I wouldn't wanna work there. Bronze age, wow. Skywalk was awesome! Great views and I bet the air smelled fresh up there. Great day out!
Hi Matt, the Hallstatt salt mine was way more fun than I expected. When I watched the video back I thought it's a good job I was at the front on the slide 😂 And looking on the video there doesn't look much room on that train. I don't remember it being that bad but then I'm not fazed by much. The skywalk had to be visited whilst up there. Of course I'd have preferred to be in the mountains. Thanks for watching 🙂👍Paul
Hi Paul. That’s an awesome ride with amazing an view to get to the salt mine and interesting how every person has their phone out filming it. Nice karate outfit lol and wow you get to have fun on a slide too. That’s quite the walk thru the tunnel. Its great to see everyone had fun down in the mine. I’ve visited a salt mine here in Canada and I have a piece of Salt I keep on my bedside table. Thanks for the awesome tour. 👍😊🇨🇦
Hi Christine, the Hallstatt salt mine was fun and a lot more enjoyable than I expected. It seems everyone wanted to capture that view on the way up. You get given cool karate outfits to take on those fun slides. I didn't get any salt momentos but it supposed to be good for you to breathe in so a great place to put yours. I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for coming along. Have a great week 👍🙂Paul
Wow pretty amazing that people have been mining salt from there for 7,000 years! I loved the slides in the salt mine. That looked like fun. That would definitely be a place that I would like to visit if I ever have a chance to visit Hallstatt. The views of Hallstatt from the top are beautiful! 😊👍42
The Hallstatt salt mine slide sure was a lot of fun. The tour was more fun than expected. Also a bit of education to boot. Well worth a visit I'd say as well the Hallstatt skywalk. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for taking time to watch. I hope you have a great weekend 👍🙂Paul
funicular, funiculee, funiculaaaahh! ♫ for some reason i kept singing this is my head while watching. imagine what it takes to build it. right when i was typing that it seemed the rain had let up, it started again. squid game reference with the outfits...😂 the slides are AWESOME!!! i wanna slide! did you know that woman (women? i wasn't sure if it was the same) or were you forced to make a friend for the rides? poor hermit! definitely better visibility. cheers, paul! 🛴❤
Hi Anne, is that even a song or you made it up 😂 The rain did let up for most of the day thankfully. That's the one, Squid Game. The slides were pretty cool and a German lady asked to slide with me so I said yeah why not 🙂 I ended up having cake and coffee with her and her 2 friends afterwards. I'm quite sociable for a hermit 🙂 The Hallstatt salt mine tour was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Thank you very much for watching and singing along. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul
@@TheHikingHermit lol! it was inspired by the marriage of figaro. clearly you're a friendly hermit! absolutely love that y'all had cake and coffee afterwards. i wonder if she knows she's your thumbnail 🤭 i assume you told them you were filming for the channel. but maybe not 🤔
@@scootladychicago I'm pretty sure that I told her I was filming for my channel. She bought the snap that was taken down the slide and took my email address to mail a copy to me. I never did get an email or it got lost somewhere. I should double, double check my mail. Maybe they didn't like hermits after all 🤣
Oh so you cheated this time and got the funicular 😂 Were you saving your legs?😆 I have to admit I've just been on hols to Shropshire, while there , visited Bridgenorth and from pure novelty/fun experience got a return trip on the funicular. Great experience ..... We'll have to compare videos sometime haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.... Their salt mine is called Christina 🤔 not sure I totally approve 🤔🤣 Gosh what a great fun trip though and those slides look fantastic, I'd love a go on that , dare say you added a few fb friends there haha Brilliant to get out on the Skywalk again and get the awesome views this time around ... absolutely stunning .... The view that is !! Well done 😁
Well the Hallstatt salt mine tour had a combined price with the funicular so thought why not go up there with the crowds this time. The tour was a lot more fun then I expected and you know I'm not very good at making friends 😂 Also had to check out the skywalk and hog the end of it again. I'd much rather have been up in the mountains tho. Thanks for watching 👍🙂

This salt mine is very amazing. This place is really beautiful with great landscapes 👍👍
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you very much for taking time to watch. Have a great week ahead 👍🙂
Wow Beautiful Place my friend Enjoy your Adventure
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂
Hallsttatt Salt Mine tour...here my lace shoes Paul with you
Thank you for coming along Juliana 🙂
Like 31 watching now👍
Thank you very much 👍
Aha, you're still going out and about!
Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul
beautiful my friend😍😍thank you very much 💕like 52
Very interesting salt mine.
Wow this was a really cool tour Paul (I’ve heard of this mine and its slides )
Fascinating history but damp good fun too I see 😊👍
The view too from the sky walk (where better this time ) just stunning 🤩
Enjoyed this Paul all the best Simon 🤠👍
Hi Simon, it's not normally something I would do but the weather was bad so needs must. I found the Hallstatt salt mine tour to be a lot better than I'd expected and a lot of fun. The Skywalk is sure worth a visit and had to hog it longer this time to prove the hermit was there. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul
@@TheHikingHermit I definitely noted that mine (just looks great fun 🤩) Paul 👍😊
Thank you for telling the story about Hallstatt Salt Mine and of course the beauty of nature there
I was really wondering what these overalls were about, before you got to the slide.
I'm hoping to add to my Wainwright tally very soon if the good old British weather allows it 🙂
Very beautiful place 37 amazing garden nice sharing my dear friend have a wonderful day
Thank you very much, my friend 🙂
Absolutely captivating! Loved the journey through the Hallstatt Salt Mine via the Salzbergbahn Funicular and Skywalk. Stay Connected 🤝🙏

Happy slide inside of Salt Mine! Great tour!💯
The Hallstatt salt mine tour was a lot more fun than I expected 🙂
Beautiful View!!! Wow! 😮 15:28
I'm glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Excellent 👍 Like it very much 👍
It is quite a chamber! Train in the mine is cool!
Wow, it's really amazing and mysterious.😍😍
It's overwhelming from the first screen... ...like going up to heaven..
Salt slides, and the means of transportation in the narrow space must be so much fun.
13:03 Fantastic view... I want to fly.😁😁
Thank you so much for introducing me to the wonderful scenery my friend.💖💖
The Hallstatt salt mine was a lot more fun than I expected with the slides. Of course had to go visit the skywalk for those views. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and the views I managed to capture. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂
fantastic video footage ! great work
i like very much this salt mine explore^^
Have a great week 👍🙂Paul
outstanding . . . well done 👍💥🎈
Thank you very much 🙂👍
Wow pretty amazing that people have been mining salt from there for 7,000 years!
Maybe they didn't like hermits after all 🤣
@@TheHikingHermit well maybe the email will show up soon... or in the comments here.
Excelente trabajo bro saludos
