Soundwave Festival 2013, March 4th in Perth Australia
This was the last SLAYER show of the OZ tour. And one of my favorites too. The only thing that sucked was that I tripped on a cable near the drum riser as I got on the drums and it moved the ZOOM cam over a little. Sorry you can't see my feet..but there's good audio from my monitors. Enjoy!

The double bass consistency on this is exactly what this fucking song needs - the fact that you weren’t the drummer going forward is ridiculous. The snare work is fucking SPOT FUCKING ON!

This is one of the best drumming performances of this song I have ever heard. This guy would have made a huge impact and difference to Slayers live shows. A huge opportunity missed by Slayer from 2012 onwards

I’ve been a professional drummer for 25 years and this guy is freaking ridiculous!! Total beast... power, speed and accuracy. And gets into the spirit of it too! Amazing, great work sir 👍🏼

I have no idea why they didn't keep this guy in the band. After Paul got hurt he was never the same, and Jon plays Paul's own stuff better than he does nowadays, lol.
Then again, I don't know why Kerry decided to shaft Dave.
it was well documented. both slayer and dave confirmed this in interviews; it's about cash. dave was asking for more. kerry didn't want to give him more cash. dave left.

I can't understand why this guy is not a permanent (and recording) member on any of these bands he filled in... specially Slayer, where he plays much more aggressive, accurate and solid than the other guys.

Edu Luke cause slayer can't afford to pay talented drummers so they settle for bostaph. there's an interview somewhere on the internet where Dave says that was the reason why he left for the last time. He was only making like $60k a year
Shame on Slayer greed management. Even sideman musicians for artists not this popular and who only gigs domestically are making more than that.
Kerry thought people wouldn't say "it's not Slayer anymore without Jeff and Dave" if they brought back Paul who was already a member at one point. Dette is a far superior drummer.

I’m always amazed by how incredibly tight pro drummers are.
He has probably been practicing 8 hours a day for the last 30 years.
Okay I will say this right now. This is the best I have ever heard Disciple played live on drums. This performance was perfect. The problem with Lombardo is that he has powerful double bass but does not do all the rolls within the track. The problem with Bostaph is that he does do all the rolls/fills but has insanely weak kick drum work. Dette here demonstrated both speed and power with his hands and feet and nailed everything. Disciple has never been played this perfectly before. This right here is the best drum performance of Disciple live. Check Lombardo's drum cam of this then watch Bostaph's on his channel then come back and tell me they played it this well...I'll wait

One of the few drummers that put a smile on my face, so articulate, so tight and brutal, yet musical and soulful ! I discovered him through the unofficial bootlegs of Slayer, the guy is a beast !

this is fucking amazing. Lombardo and Bostaph can't play like this guy. I saw this lineup in Brisbane and it was hands down the best Ive ever seen Slayer live.

Bostaph is king! My favorite Slayer drummer, even though his double bass performance suffer to much in the last few years. He is the man who create all the grooves and rolls that John replicate perfectly in this video.
I love how the camera is fixed o the drumset at the beggining. Then when the show starts it gets hit and ends up pointing away

Yes, and the average temperature at each show was close to 40°c. I was at the Sydney show and nearly got heat stroke just watching.

Why would Dave want to replicate it when he does everything better? I've been a drummer (although I'm mainly a guitarist) for 35 years and he's not fantastic by any means - he's just pretty good.

I read a John interview and it was basically because John Dette didn't like the way of Slayer working (only email comunications for months and no good human relation ecc) so he was sick about it and leaved. Onestly i think it was principally for a Kerry K. decision.
