Additional musicians include Gerry Nestler on vox and guitar and Pancho Tomaselli on bass plus Dan Tai Lopez and Oscar Santiago on percussion.

To anyone insulting Gerry Nestler (the other guitarist, he's from Philm with Dave), could you do better or even imagine being on stage trying to play "Raining Blood" with them AND sing while also having to deal with your nerves?! Man, that takes some skill.

I love Dave's work and find his playing in Slayer (and Metallica that one time!) mesmerizing and otherworldly. It's interesting to me how he's way more amped up for the Latin Jazz ensemble than I'm used to seeing him when playing full on, aggressive thrash (so relaxed and fluid), which he is a pioneer of on his instrument. Reign in Drums, Dave ❤ 🤟🏾

Mitch Mitchell was the drummer for The Jimi Hendrix Experience. In my opinion, he's one of the more under-rated drummers. I love his work on "If 6 Was 9".
Dave Lombardo is a class act his ego has never been bigger than himself. hes always just been a very humble person that's what I love about the guy. He Is a real professional but at the same time hes very personable, Just like one of the dudes you hang out with. He knows where he came from (cuba), and he is so grateful to be where he is at, and always shows so much appreciation to his fans. He gives it everything he's got everytime he gets behind the kit. I know everyone knocks ddrum but I thought that his kit sounded pretty damn amazing, those nice deep power toms are needed for his playing and I loved the old tama artstar drums he played in during the late 80s & early 90s
They were amazing drums.
I am not a Slayer fan in the sense that I only like a few of their songs and don't follow them at all, but I have nothing but respect for the fact that they were among the first to bring speed into Metal music, and as far as I know that's because Dave told them to do so.

Maybe Dave was exaggerating his part in it, but in an interview I saw him say: "Guitarist came with a nice riff and I told him to play it twice as fast and put a double bass beat to it, that's how it started."

Have loved Slayer since I was 16 (40 now) and have seen them play live.
I would have to say - that is Dave Lombardo's most inspired performance ever.
You could tell from his opening notes he played with the band that something was going to happen.

This is basically how the final version of slayer actually felt to me, half of the band was missing with just Tom and kerry being in the final incarnation of slayer, shame they didn't go out with dave on the drums.
