Thank you for making vids like this. It really helps me decide what tackle I need to get. One bait that I recommend for spring fishing Is a rápala fat rap. It is a crankbait with a long bill. I caught a 2, 3, 3, and a 4 pounder. I also caught a 1lb bluegill on it.

My favorite spring lure has to be fishing an underspin with a keitech 4” swim bait on lakes, and in ponds, I like using a tiny rebel track down. Both bluegill and bass love it. I don’t care what I catch, as long as I catch.

My favorite is a curly tail grub with a blade connected to the lure.
You'll never go wrong with a zoom curly tail worm, red color, that works in spring, summer, and fall
My pb was a river large mouth, I was 4 years old, and fought the fish and dock flipped it myself. It was on a 7 foot 8 spinning combo. With a shad swim jig head and a white curly tail grub as a trailer. My uncle was fishing for blue gills. I caught a 8 pound 1 and a quarter large mouth.

If you want to catch a new PB, go out to Lake Fork, Tx. Right now, spawn fishing is hot. I caught a 8+ last weekend. I feel really bad for people who think a 2.5 is a big fish, because they have never been to one of many great Texas lakes.
The lure I catch the most stuff on is a drop shot worm hooked through one end with a little anise flavored stuff it's dipped into. I also use anis in corn when I fish for carp and use it on cut bait for catfish.
My biggest bass of the year most of the time is on a crankbait. I have a spot with a drop off someone in a boat showed me once that I only fish in the morning after work.
I was actually in BPS with my dad the other her day and did not buy anything. I am donating a bunch of flat sinkers to my dad to use for balancing model airplanes so they don't just get used for catfishing either.
Pink is my favorite Senko color. I use red hooks too.

My favorite spring lure is the chatter bait.
I went fishing the first time this year yesterday and caught a 6.5 a 5 and several fish over 3 on a swim jig and rattletrap.
They drop fish out of planes.. a toss is ok.. 🤣

When ever we finally get out , like i said we still have three foot ice. Snowed yesterday and more this Thursday ... Mother nature is sure missed up, just not here but all over USA. But when the Missouri River finally opens up, will be going for Walleye and Northern pike ... Usually that time of the year it's all shore fishing till the channel opens up. This will open up way before the local glacial lakes. And it's mostly live bait, how ever i do plan to mix it up with spinnerbait's since it's so versatile esp' for Northern Pike. My favorite spring time lure is the z man jackhammer chatterbait
I am in Western Australia and the best all round lure us a 2-3inch minnow immitation in bright pink with a 1/12oz jig head.
Edit: with that I catch flathead, snapper, skippy, mulloway, shovel nose and pretty much anything
Chatter baits are the best bait for spring and fall but all year around
I do a lot of trout fishing early spring and I have gotten lucky booking a 4 pound largemouth while fishing for trout with a trout jig but for specifically targeting bass in the spring my favorite lure has to be any sort of big trout imitator swim bait as the lakes I fish are stocked with trout

Best springtime lure is undoubtly worms. Here there is a closed season in spring where can't fish artificial baits for perch. The only bait for perch what is allowed are worms.
Edit: for ppl who don't know what a closed season is: that's a season where you can't fish a certain bait or where you can't fish on a specific fish, so they can spawn.

I also live in Virginia and there is this lake u may be familiar with leesvile lake and it has huge stripper bass and large mouth and if god is real nice to u u will get one of the biguns to bite but it is definitely not easy to fish there it is a real challenge I’m planning to go soon so wish me luck

It’s not spring here but my fav spring baits for bass and pike are jerk-bait swim bait and jig. But on lake Winnebago in Wisconsin I fish for HUGE 1lb panfish in channels in spring cause I eat fish they taste wayyyy to good with Cajun seasoning. If you reply to this before you do go on map and go find lake Winnebago in Wisconsin. Do you think it’s clean?
